City’s Best Divine Doctor
Chapter 2180 - 2140: Las Vegas
When Ye Qiu, Miranda, and Xia Jing returned to the hotel, Xia Jing was very reluctant to stay in the same room with Ye Qiu.
However, recalling last night’s events, she was worried about her safety if she slept alone. Only staying at a nearby five-star hotel would give her that sense of security.
Watching Xia Jing sit there, Ye Qiu said, "Aren’t you going to shower and rest? We’re heading to Las Vegas early tomorrow morning."
"Let Miranda sleep with me over here instead," Xia Jing said.
Even though she didn’t say it explicitly, it was already quite clear.
Listening to those torturous sounds every night, she truly couldn’t bear it.
Moreover, at her age, it was even more unbearable.
After Ye Qiu asked Miranda to shower first, he knew women take a long time showering, so he turned on the computer.
Since this was Chinatown, he could access many Chinese channels.
Ye Qiu sat watching TV while Miranda went to shower, then Xia Jing followed.
Around midnight, after the two had dried their hair, Ye Qiu went to wash.
If Miranda hadn’t kept him tied up, Ye Qiu would surely continue his cultivation breakthrough.
Of course, he hadn’t forgotten about cultivation.
After showering, Ye Qiu emerged wearing shorts and found that the two women were already asleep.
Ye Qiu sat on the edge of the bed, not lying down to rest, but prepared to cultivate.
In the middle of the night, Ye Qiu suddenly felt someone come over and hug him; it wasn’t someone else but Miranda.
"Qiu, I want you."
"Sleep,"
Ye Qiu didn’t agree, being naturally concerned about disturbing Xia Jing nearby.
Miranda could only return to lie beside Xia Jing.
Early the next morning, when the two women woke up, Ye Qiu had already risen and continued his cultivation.
The night’s Moonlight Essence and the morning’s Sunlight Essence were best for his cultivation and absorption, and after cultivating through the night, he had absorbed quite a bit of Spiritual Energy.
But to break through, it would still take some time.
After rising to dress suitably and clean up, since it wasn’t clear how many days they would spend in Las Vegas, they prepared to check out and leave.
Once the three packed up their things in the room and descended, they checked out and settled the bill at the front desk.
Two men in suits were already waiting there.
"Mr. Ye, we’re from Mr. Hong’s group."
"Is there something you need?"
"We heard you’re going to Las Vegas, and we can take you to the airport."
To the airport?
That would be less convenient than just driving ourselves, really not needing to trouble Mr. Hong’s people.
However, they had been waiting for quite some time, so Ye Qiu and the two ladies let the men carry their belongings and headed outside.
Getting in the car, it drove toward a San Francisco airport.
San Francisco is part of a large bay area, densely populated, with a strong economy, and has several airports. Flying to Las Vegas from here is convenient.
Less than a thousand kilometers, and you can fly there in an hour and a half.
Upon arriving at this San Francisco International Airport, the three disembarked. The two men also helped carry their belongings inside and bought first-class tickets for Ye Qiu and his companions.
Ye Qiu was quite surprised by Mr. Hong’s enthusiasm, likely due to having saved him.
After securing the plane tickets and waiting about fifteen minutes, they boarded the flight heading to the Las Vegas International Airport.
After checking in and boarding, they found their first-class seats and sat down.
Earlier, the three hadn’t had breakfast, but at this time, the plane served a generous breakfast, especially in first class.
The passenger breakfast was nothing short of fine Western dining.
There were steaks and French bread, even wine.
Summer Jing and Miranda each had a steak and a soup, though realistically, they couldn’t eat much more.
Early mornings suit slow tea sipping along with eating, allowing for more consumption, while hurried chewing results in lesser intake.
After spending an hour and a half on the plane, consuming food was practically occupying the entire time, though without much feeling of flying.
But time had passed.
Now the plane had landed at the Las Vegas International Airport.
Las Vegas ranks among the world’s four major gambling cities, a well-known destination for tourism, shopping, and leisure, termed the "World Capital of Entertainment" and the "Capital of Marriages."
Of the forty million tourists visiting Las Vegas annually, the majority come for shopping and gourmet experiences, while few visit solely for gambling.
From an inconspicuous, run-down village to a massive international city, Las Vegas transformed in just ten years.
Now Ye Qiu and the two women disembarked with their luggage, observing the gambling city resembling Macau, indeed it was different.
Seeing numerous taxis waiting.
Some taxis offer free rides to hotel accommodations, some to casinos, others to various shopping venues and recreational spots.
Ye Qiu knew about the Chinatown here, though smaller than San Francisco’s Chinatown; still, there’s Huaxia cuisine.
Therefore, Ye Qiu chose not to stay at those five-star hotels, instead heading to Chinatown first.
After telling the taxi driver, he drove towards Las Vegas Chinatown, also known as Huaxia City in that area.
On Las Vegas Boulevard, not far west of Treasure Island Hotel, there’s a cluster of two-story high glazed tile-roofed buildings. At its central square stands a statue named "Journey to the West," with the kind-looking Tang Seng mounted, the intelligent and brave Sun Wukong gazing ahead for guidance, followed by Zhu Bajie and Sha Seng behind their master. This is the newly risen Huaxia City in the gambling city of Las Vegas, marked clearly on the highway signs.
This latest Huaxia City in America spans 7.5 acres, not nearly the size of New York, Los Angeles, or San Francisco’s century-old Chinatowns, but small yet complete, relatively clean and safe.
Here are more than ten Northern and Southern style Chinese restaurants, a thriving Great Hwa market, bakery, herbal medicine store, books and newspapers shop, foot bath and beauty salons, etc. Chinese visitors feel at home amidst familiar accents and Chinese signage, as if placed in a small Huaxia town.
When the taxi driver parked and got out, Ye Qiu was somewhat surprised that this was actually Las Vegas’ Chinatown; clearly different from Chinatowns in San Francisco or New York.
This Chinatown appeared fairly new and hadn’t developed much over the years, with architectural features distinct from others, resembling more an emerging domestic town.
Nonetheless, it was fully operated by overseas Chinese, with all kinds of markets and dining establishments.
Xia Jing paid the fare, and the three proceeded with their belongings towards this Chinatown.
