City of Desire [Kingdom Building]

Chapter 741: Eleven Skills

I turned my eyes and looked at the people.

“Evacuate the legacy,” I ordered. It surprised many, aside from the three, as I walked toward my office.

I have a lot of things to do, and I need the legacy closed, as many things are related to it, including how much power we are going to show.

Thanks to the imprinted charms, it’s always controlled, even now, but we could easily increase or decrease it.

“You are injured. You should rest for the night before doing any work,” advised Carla, but I only smiled. There is no time for the rest.

Zela had cast healing spells on me, and seeing her worried, I reached for the artifact.

The next second, the watery mist covered my body.

Earlier, the watery mist could only be released into the artifact and needed someone like Bell to do it for a long time. I could only bring it out for a little more than a minute.

Now, the mist could be brought out easily anywhere in the legacy with just a thought.

I could feel its power; it’s relaxing me while healing my injuries.

I reached my office, and immediately, more healing spells covered me. These are Zela’s healing spells, but they are far more powerful than the ones she had cast.

Even she seemed shocked by their power.

Hers were the first Grade IV spells imprinted on the legacy, and now I had activated them myself.

“These are faintly weaker than the true Grade IV spells,” replied Zela in shock. I am rather shocked by the tower. Earlier, the spells were enhanced, but not to this degree.

“How long will it take for Stone to arrive?” I asked. “An hour more,” she replied.

Stone is outside, leading several units in training. The legacy has changed things, and we will adjust our strategy accordingly.

The sooner we started on it, the better it will be.

The three sat, but nobody spoke. All of them are looking at me. “It was a night of surprises, wasn’t it?” I asked, seeing their serious faces.

“You should have let Caena help,” said Carla, looking at my state. I am bloody all over, with skin and bones cracked, and internal damage.

I should use Get Ready; it will clear away all the sweat and blood, but it has slipped my mind.

“It was too risky. I cannot let the undead, even have a hint about her,” I replied. Even after the advancement, she will play the most crucial part.

I cannot take any risks of them knowing. I would have let him beat me to death rather than the news of having a Great Witch leak out.

She opened her mouth, but closed it a moment later. Even she understood, I didn’t have any choice.

Attend the calls with the people who are calling you, and try to gain as much help as you can. Ask the other madams to do that as well.” I ordered.

“We need to use this opportunity as much as we can,” I added.

The throne is a big deal, and many are willing to do favours they hadn’t before, and we will try to exploit that as much as we can.

A minute later, they left.

“A lot of people are waiting to talk to you,” informed Zela. “Just give me a minute,” I replied, and lay against the chair, closing my eyes.

I took several deep breaths and opened them. A moment later, my legacy skills appeared before me.

Legacy: Domain of Desire IV

Heir:

 Skills:

● Lord of Throne

● Laws of Throne

● Authority Pillars

● Vault of Yataz Mar

● Domain Expansion

● Rewind Restoration

● Patrons Paradise

● Vital Circulation

● Ledger of All

● Events of Desire

● Faithwrought

I had nine legacy skills when I was in Grade III. I am not aware of any living legacy possessing that many skills; some may have them, but they keep them a secret.

I am doing it as well.

The shocking thing is, all nine of my legacy skills have advanced. I also got two new ones.

Earlier, I glanced at them for less than a second, but they still excited me, and now, when I read them. I could barely keep myself in control.

They have become a very powerful set of skills. It’s not just skills, but the legacy itself.

The name of legacy had also changed as it advanced to Grade IV, from Demesne of Desire to Domain of Desire.

There is another element that has appeared. Heir, I already know who I want as my heir, and I will finalize that business tomorrow.

Anything could happen in the war. I need to make sure the legacy and its people survive even if I don’t.

I turned to the skills. The first is the Lord of Throne; it advanced from Master of Legacy.

It’s the skill that gives me control over my legacy. Its functions have remained the same, but it is now more powerful. The same thing happened with Laws of Legacy, which turned into Laws of Throne.

This skill excites me greatly, as I will now be able to establish powerful laws, backed by the authority of the throne.

I will have to be careful, too rigid, and it will cause chaos and dysfunction.

I will build on what I have already laid down, but this time, there will be teeth behind it. Not just minor resistance, as before.

The third skill is Authority Pillars, which builds upon Share Authority.

The two skills mentioned earlier are common among other legacies; this one is not. It’s more powerful than the Hands of Throne that most Grade IV legacies get and could do much more.

It is a skill that usually Grade VI legacies have.

With this, I will not only be able to share all my legacy skills with those in authority, but also my Master Skills. This will greatly assist me in managing the legacy.

It also gave me twelve slots, five more than before, which will solve many problems and streamline the administration of the Velvet Garden.

The fourth skill is Vault of Yataz Mar, which advanced from Vault of Ru.

It’s another rare throne skill that will be tremendously helpful to me. There are many vault skills, but this one is considered one of the best.

Unlike before, there was only a single vault where everyone with access could see what was inside. With this skill, I no longer have that problem.

In this vault, I could create compartments and place access restrictions. Means, people will only be able to access the compartments that I give them permission to and not others.

They won’t even know how many compartments there are. The skill had also increased the size of the vault by seven times, making it far bigger than before.

The fifth one, Domain Expansion, advanced from Demesne Expansion.

It’s one of the rarest skills out there, and here it had increased the size of my legacy to a truly massive level, to the point where I am already worried about the expense.

It is also the fluid expansion, rather than the hard expansion, that occurred before.

The addition of Witchcraft had made it the most useful skill of all legacy skills, because now, I could do things. I would not be able to before.

It’s going to help amass a large fortune and influence.

The sixth skill is Rewind Restoration, advanced from Instant Restoration. Instant Restoration was already a rare skill and has now become even rarer with this and more powerful.

I could heal any damage to the legacy with it, including the one earlier.

The seventh skill is Patrons Paradise, which descended from Patrons Heaven, which descended from Halcyon’s Gambler’s Heaven. This text is hosted at Nove1Fire.net

It has now become more powerful. I like to see how much. I had deactivated it and other skills the moment I got them.

It is one of the reasons why I made everyone leave. I don’t want anyone to know my skills, test their power, and, if required, set the limits on them.

The eighth skill is Vital Circulation, advanced from Vital Bath.

It’s not just a bathhouse skill anymore. It is a rare area effect skill that now covers the entire Legacy.

It would cover the entire legacy, heal minor injuries, and leave one feeling refreshed. I will have to think deeply about its power.

I don’t want to destroy the livelihood of doctors and healers.

The ninth skill is Ledger of All, an advanced form of Ledger of Records.

Ledger of Records was already a throne-level skill, but it had now become more powerful and expansive. It’s going to be a skill that will transform administration efficiency.

In the Ledger of Records, only I have the ledger, but here, I could give the ledgers to those below me.

It’s a hierarchical ledger with four levels of hierarchy.

The skill will not only record transactions and inventory as before, but will also be able to take notes, send those notes among the ledgers, and perform many other tasks.

It made me so excited as I wanted to try it immediately, but I didn’t even summon it. I will do it later.

These are the nine skills that have advanced. I have got two more skills.

First is the Events of Desire. It allows me to create events in the legacy for a specific time. In that time, the effects of the legacy will be more powerful, the skills more substantial, and it will absorb more emotions.

This is a skill that could be very useful. If used well.

The second and final of my skills is Faithwrought. The main reason is that I immediately turned off the skill as soon as I saw it.

It’s an incredibly powerful skill because it amplifies the strength of my staff. Those who believe in Velvet Garden and the ideals it stands for will be empowered even further.

The most fantastic thing about this skill is that the boost wouldn’t disappear after they leave the domain of the legacy.

They will have a boost, but it will be expandable like a battery.

While in the legacy domain, it will remain unaffected, as the legacy system will continue to charge them. However, once they are out, they will be able to use the power stored within them.

This is a shocking skill, and I need to discuss it with others to determine how to handle it.

Not just with the madams, but with other stakeholders of the city, because it could significantly impact things, and I want to be as careful as possible with it.

It’s truly a dangerous skill, and it will become even more so as we hire more people.

I looked at them for a few seconds more before closing the window.

“Connect me,” I said to Zela finally, and I prepared myself to speak with the people, starting with the two princes of the empire.
