‘Finally!’ I heaved a sigh of relief seeing Master Silver appearing in front of him.

I didn’t want to call him, but the moment he attacked Stena, I did. I had called him immediately, despite knowing it might do more harm than good.

This man is a Lv. 40+ powerhouse. Master Silver is no match.

I just hope that he will respect the position of the Master of Legacy. One does not just attack them; there are consequences for that.

Adran Bryndon

I had never seen the young man, but I recognised him instantly.

Remus Silver, Master of Velvet Garden.

“Let go of her, Bryndon,” he said with eyes filled with calm rage.

His words surprised me, but also made me laugh; I love people like him. The people who think words, not fists, run the world.

I will be more than happy to teach him the truth.

“I will not. What are you going to do about it?” I asked. Immediately, my expression became serious as the suppression descended on me.

Fucking masters!

The bastard brought down the pressure of his legacy on me, and it is more powerful than I had thought, but this is not Transcendent Pleasure, and he is not Ophelia Glynrieth, to make me back down.

“You think this little suppression could stop me?” I asked, and laughed even harder.

Yes, it’s powerful, but I am Lv.42 Mercenary of Temerarious Blade. It’s not easy to suppress me.

I had thought that, when I felt the aura, it was not just the aura, but the aura of a master enhanced by the power of legacy.

There had been only one time someone used such power on me, and it was the most humiliating experience I had.

Feeling it again, rage burned in my heart even brighter, especially when I saw so many people looking at me, like that time.

Smiling, laughing, as I was nearly forced to my knees. This time, it won’t happen.

I was thinking it when I felt his hand on mine, and tried to pull my hand away with the power that surprised me.

Immediately, I activated Boar’s Strength, but even with it, my hand shook a little. I am freaking Lv. 40, he shouldn’t have been able to do this.

It shocked me, but I also understood the reason behind it.

The information stated that this individual is at a late Level 30. Likely Level. 38 or Lv. 39. On top of that, I am in his legacy with his skills boosted here.

Seeing my shaking hand, a shock appeared in the eyes of the people, and even my men were taken aback.

“Bastard!” I cursed, and my aura came out. It’s enough, but I want to teach that bastard a lesson, so that these people will talk about it for years.

So, the fractal begins to form—the Fractal of Stone Veins.

It took an instant to form, and its power filled me. I pushed his hand away, using enough strength that would break his bones and send him crashing to the floor like the bitch earlier.

I could feel his expression changing, but the next moment. I felt shocked once more as I sensed the sudden strength in his arms, resisting me!

“So, they are right, you are not Adran of the roar, but Adran of the floor!” he said, laughing mockingly.

Making me feel the anger I had only felt once.

“Let go of her, Bryndon,” I said as I stopped in front of him, with my heart filled with rage.

I wanted to please this man. So, I could train with him, but that thought had vanished the moment he raised his hand on my staff and tried to force himself on another.

“I will not. What are you going to do about it?” he asked back, with a mocking smile.

He doesn’t fear me, nor does he care about the consequence. There would be some, but nothing he couldn’t bear, he understood that.

It’s why he is doing this.

I understand it as well, better than he does. It is why I had swallowed my pride and asked him to release Miss Wells, but this bastard isn’t willing to and is mocking me.

Challenging me to do whatever I could to stop him because he knows I am powerless against him.

He is right, but that doesn’t mean I won’t do anything. I will do everything I can for my employee, especially now, when they stayed while everyone left.

I know the value of such loyalty. It would fill me with shame if I didn’t give everything I have to save them.

So, I pushed every bit of power my legacy had on him. It is enough to make the knees of Lv. 30 buckle, but it only made his expression a little serious.

“You think this little suppression could stop me?” he asked mockingly once more, laughing even harder.

I know, it wouldn’t work. It’s why I activated the aura. It’s powerful in my legacy, amplified by its power, and I focused it on the man.

I could see that it had made him very angry, but aside from that, I saw no effect on him.

Seeing that, I decided to do it myself and gripped his hand to loosen his hold on Miss Wells. It’s like an iron; it didn’t even budge slightly.

My strength is far from enough, even with legacy and aura.

So, I took Carla’s Castellens’ Strength and pushed as much aura as I could into it before pulling his hands once more, and this time, it moved, shocking the man and those watching.

“Bastard!” he cursed with rage blazing in his eyes.

‘Lord Silver, please stop. He will be uncontrollable once he becomes angry.’ Miss Well begged, looking at me with pleading eyes.

Hearing her plea, my heart pained.

The man is forcing her, and here, she is pleading with me to let go.

‘Don’t worry,’ I replied reassuringly.

The next moment, my heart skipped a beat when I felt his aura. It is powerful and more controlled than mine.

I thought he would push it toward his skills and prepare myself, but he did something worse. He used the aura method.

The fractal formed in an instant, and I could see pale red veins appearing across his body.

At the same moment, I felt like his hand was moving to shake away mine. Seeing the force, it will not a simple shake me away; it is a blow that will break my hand and throw me back hard.

The power I have is like a feather against the wrecking ball; his strength is. I am totally powerless.

Still, giving up isn’t a choice or an option. I cannot let this bastard do whatever he wants with my legacy to my employee. If I let him do that, I will never be able to look at myself in the same way.

So, I did the only thing I could. The only thing that could help me here.

The fractal begins to form.

I am not doing it out of desperation, despite being desperate. I did it because in this moment, I felt like I understood the meaning of the method.

Velvet Garden is a tree, with its employees being the branches and the leaves.

I am Velvet Garden. It’s my responsibility to protect them, and I will do it, even if it costs me my life.

The fractal formed and entered inside me. Filling me with strength I had never felt before, for a moment, I was unable to believe it, but proof was right in front of me.

I knew it would work, but seeing it working is a different thing, especially after I had practiced it hundreds of times, without any success.

I stopped the hand that had tried to shake me off. Making Miss Well free.

Sap Pulse is a strengthening method of Verdant Path. It is one of the most potent aura methods out there, and I could see it as its strength filled me, while he watched in shock.

Everybody is shocked. Even Miss Wells can not believe what has happened.

‘Leave,’ I told her, and turned to the man in front of me.

“So, they are right, you are not Adran of the roar, but Adran of the floor!” I said, using the same mocking tone he had used on me.

I shouldn’t have done that, but he attacked my employee and tried to force himself on another.

I wanted to hurt his pride, and the words did—more than I had thoughts, if his expressions were to be believed.

I had read about that incident. He tried something like this in Ophelia’s brothel, and that woman showed him his place.

It is said that when that woman brought down the power of her legacy on him, his knees shook.

I could not do that. He is too powerful for me. Even holding his hand back is taking everything out of me.

I hate to do it, but I want to calm the situation. It is the wise thing to do.

I am not his match, even with the legacy. So, I have to take things calmly, even if I hate to do it, given what he has done to my employees.

“I will kill you!”

I was about to open my mouth to calm things down when he roared madly, shaking the whole legacy, with a large black saber, with a silvery wavy pattern, appearing in his hand.

‘Fuck!’ I cursed, seeing the saber in his hand. That artifact is bad news.

It’s called Sable Wave; it provides a surging force of waves that’s unstoppable and overwhelming. This artifact suits him well, making it even more dangerous in his hands.

“There will be consequences if you use that artifact here,” I warned him.

Synod would bear many things, but not the damage to the legacies. It is one thing that is forbidden.

“You have stained my honour, Silver, and nothing and no one will stop me till I get satisfaction.” He said, looking at me like he wanted to kill me.

“Not even the bloody synod,” he added, with his famed madness in his eyes, who does not care about any consequences, and swung his saber at me.
