Chapter 2170 - 2170: Scheme within a Scheme
…
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Within the depths of the Cursed Forest, the highest level map near the Oath City, a massive battle was currently taking place.
While the Demonic Players were setting up their trap for Felix and Felicia in this region, they had accidentally stumbled upon the members of a Powerhouse Guild, who were doing the same.
However, given the current stage of the game, it was clear that the Demonic Players and the denizens of the Atlas World were mortal enemies.
There was no need for any talks; a fight immediately broke out between the two sides, leading to the current situation.
The battle between the two sides continued to grow in every passing second, turning into an all-out war between them.
This battle had also grown so huge that it had attracted the attention of the other powers that were setting up their own trap within the area.
When they learned that one of the sides was from the Demonic Churches, they immediately joined the prey and teamed up with the other unknown party.
It was not important what these sides were fighting for; all they knew was that they had to deal with Demonic Players more than anything else. After all, the war between the Righteous Churches and Evil Faction was still ongoing, so killing or capturing Demonic Players could earn them huge merits.
Due to the commotion that their battle was making, more people were getting attracted to this place, making the battle even larger.
Some individuals had even joined the hunt, even calling their friends to join, who then further called more friends.
The situation became even messier when these random people started joining the battle, turning the tide against the Demonic Players.
The pressure that they were getting from these players was starting to get out of hand, so they had no choice but to use their trump cards as well.
Roar! Roar! Roar!
Amid the chaotic battle, a bunch of Demonic Monsters were summoned, which then slaughtered all those around them who had been caught off guard.
Boom!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Moreover, these Demonic Monsters were not regular monsters either, since they were all King Class Bosses. There might be only 5 of them on the field, but all of them were powerful enough to dominate the entire battlefield.
Aside from that, two of these Demonic Monsters were related to undead creatures, which were capable of turning their victims into demonic creatures, further increasing their numbers throughout the battle.
The more victim had fallen under their claws, the more demonic creatures were summoned.
Due to the presence of these two necromancer-like Demonic Monsters, the side of the players from the Righteous Churches was starting to get pushed back.
Regardless of their unified forces, they were still slowly getting pushed back, which had forced them to retreat temporarily from this place and reorganize their forces.
However, despite the initial victory that they had gained, Agata could not help but frown deeply due to the current situation.
“This is not good. We have been exposed a bit too early, forcing us to summon the Demonic Monsters that are supposed to be our trump card,” she said, feeling something odd with the current situation.
However, she immediately put the blame on those foolish subordinates that she had brought, who also bumped into the forces of the Titan Guild scouting the area.
“It is those fools! If only they had properly followed my arrangements and discreetly followed the plan, then this would not be happening,” she cursed, especially after most of their people were captured in the process.
“There is no need to cry over spilt milk,” said Henrick before continuing. “We have also expected that there will be other forces involved in this matter. After all, we are not the only ones who can buy such information. Those wealthy guilds will surely get their hands on it as well.”
“It was just that we do not expect them to move this fast, especially the Titan Guild,” he added with a bit of a frown.
“Of all people, we have bumped into the Titan Guild. They are a bunch of crazy bastards who put ‘justice’ over everything else,” he continued along with a heavy tone. “Given that Demonic Players are the ‘main villains’ of this game, it is only natural for these muscleheads to treat us as their archenemies.”
Hearing these words, Agata could not help but feel that something was wrong. “Are you telling me that someone else is pulling the strings?”
Henrick shrugged his shoulders. “I am not that sure either. After all, this can just be some coincidence. After all, the main headquarters of the Titan Guild happens to be situated right beyond the Wilderness Jungle that borders the eastern side of the Lesser Kingdom of Juron, the Great Empire of the Fallen Giants, which is also called the Goliath Empire.”
“The Titan Guild is the true hegemon controlling most of the resources throughout the Goliath Empire; no other powers dare to compete with them with this since they have concentrated almost all their forces there.”
“In every city within the Goliath Empire, a branch of the Titan Guild exists. It was a much more aggressive move when compared to the other Powerhouse Guilds or Top Organisations within the game, but it was much more effective in return.”
“Among all the Powerhouse Guilds and Super Guilds within the game, only the Titan Guild has the fewest branches scattered in different places of the Aurora Continent.”
“However, all their branches are at least an overlord of that region – or at least allied with similar powers.”
“Take the Saint Heaven Kingdom and the Sacred Light Kingdom for example. They are among the major powers controlling those places, and they have benefited quite a lot from these partnerships.”
“Moreover, they are also targeting all the ‘villains’ of the game, such as the Dark Guild Players, Corrupted Players, and Demonic Players like us. This is why they are getting a lot of support from the mainstream players of the game.”
“This is the reason why the Titan Guild remains at the top of this game,” he added.
Furrowing her brows, Agata could not help but ask. “What are you trying to imply?”
Henrick sighed as he continued. “What I am saying is that it is too much of a coincidence that such information has fallen into the hands of ‘righteous’ people, which then leads them to bump into us.”
“If it is some other Powerhouse Guilds within the game, such as the Central Order, Hydra Guild, and HeadHunter Guild, who prefer profits over anything else, they will find a way to work with us and share the profits beyond that Otherworldly Realm Portals.”
Agata seemed to have realized something and added. “Yet, the first to get their hands on such information are those muscleheads full of righteousness, and they happen to be moving at the same time as us.”
“Heh! Now, I am starting to doubt if that information is reliable. It can even be a bait to lure us out, then letting us duke it out with those muscleheads,” Henrick could not help but scoff.
Agata figured this out as well and heavily said. “It seems like we have fallen into a trap.”
Henrick could not help but nod his head and sigh. “What makes it worse is that we can no longer back down since we have already shown ourselves. If we turn our backs now and leave, then our status within the church will also take a great hit and affect our position.”
“Tsk! Tsk! Now that you have put it that way, it seems like we are now a trapped beast under their mercy,” Agata repeatedly clicked her tongue, realising their current predicament.
“Which is why we have no choice but to succeed,” said Henrick heavily.

In the meantime, a pair of hooded figures was currently traversing the outskirts of the Lesser Kingdom of Juro, which was also the opposite direction from where the war between the Titan Guild and the Demonic Players was taking place.
Not long after, the leading figure between the two suddenly paused their steps and opened their message panel, reading through a certain report that they had just received.
“It seems like both sides have taken the bait,” said Felix after completely reading through the reports.
Felicia, who was following behind him, tilted her head to the side and asked. “So, what’s next?”
“It is not like we have given out that information for free. After all, there is indeed a special portal in that direction,” chuckled Felix before adding. “It is just some sort of instance dungeon rather than a portal leading to another world.”
“Let’s leave them be. We still have a long way to go. We have to reach that place before they realize that our plot,” he added.
“They must have realized by now that there is something wrong with the situation. But they will still require more time before they can even fully understand the entire situation.”
“All they have right now is suspicions, so they need more information before they can fully unveil our trap.”
“That is our only window to get through everything and finish all our preparations,” he added before looking ahead of them, where a giant mountain stood.
