Chapter 417: Chapter 237: Jiang Silu Decides to Help Lu Fan! Seeking Jiang Guoqiang’s Forgiveness?

Lu Yao leaped off her bed and ran over to her, clasping her hands together. "You can learn if you don’t know how! I’ll teach you! It’s super simple, just a few moves. If you don’t get up there and make an appearance, the guys will never know our department has any cute girls."

"You know me, I get stage fright the moment I’m on a stage," Jiang Silu said, looking up and explaining shyly.

Lu Yao took her hand and gave it a little shake. "What’s there to be nervous about? You won’t be alone. I’m going up, Miaomiao’s going up, Shiting’s going up. All four of us will be together. What are you scared of?"

Song Miaomiao chimed in softly, "I’m not a very good dancer, either..."

Lu Yao shot her a look, her tone mock-stern. "Then learn! Was anyone born knowing how to do this? Miaomiao, you’re not allowed to back out!"

She turned back to Jiang Silu. "Silu, just consider it a favor for me. We don’t have enough people to form a group."

Jiang Silu hesitated for a moment before finally nodding. "Okay, fine."

Lu Yao was so happy she nearly jumped for joy. "Awesome! I’ll go find the music right now!"

She ran back to her bed, put on her headphones, and started looking for a song.

Song Miaomiao also climbed out of bed and started rummaging through her closet for her dance clothes.

Liu Shiting, who was leaning against her headboard reading, didn’t want to be a wet blanket, so she offered, "I guess I can handle support."

"Deal. Shiting, you can be in charge of photos and video," Lu Yao answered with a smile.

That evening, Lu Yao led the other girls to an open plaza in front of the main academic building.

It was a spot they had found after several days of scouting—large, well-lit, and usually empty.

But today was different. A group of people was already in the middle of the plaza, dressed in matching dance outfits, with music blasting loud enough to shake the heavens.

Lu Yao stood to the side watching for a few seconds before she recognized the girl leading the group. It was the vice president of the Student Council’s Arts Department, a junior surnamed Zhou.

She frowned, walked over, and said with a smile, "Senior, we already arranged to use this space. Today is our turn."

Senior Sister Zhou glanced at her, her smile polite but fake. "We have a competition this week, so we have to practice every day. How about you find somewhere else?"

"But we already made an agreement with your department president. You guys use it on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and we use it on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Today is Tuesday." Lu Yao’s smile faltered, her voice tinged with anger.

Senior Sister Zhou ignored her, turning to her teammates to say, "Let’s take it again from the chorus."

Lu Yao’s face turned red, and she was just about to say something.

Jiang Silu grabbed her hand and shook her head. "Just let it go. Let’s go over there."

She pointed to a corner of the plaza where the lighting was dimmer and there was less space.

Lu Yao was indignant, but seeing the look on Senior Sister Zhou’s face, she knew it was pointless to argue.

She stomped her foot in frustration and followed Jiang Silu to the corner.

The girls formed a line in the corner, with Lu Yao at the front teaching them the choreography.

Jiang Silu was a diligent student, following Lu Yao’s rhythm—arm up, turn, step.

She had no prior dance experience, but she was well-coordinated and managed to keep up after just a few run-throughs.

Lu Yao watched her, surprised. "Silu, you’re actually really good at this!"

Jiang Silu smiled, a little embarrassed. "That’s because you’re a good teacher."

"Lulu has such a great sense of rhythm. I’ve only learned half the steps," Song Miaomiao added with a nod.

Jiang Silu blushed, and just as she was about to reply, she caught sight of a figure out of the corner of her eye.

She turned her head and froze.

Lu Fan was standing a short distance away, wearing a dark gray overcoat and carrying a bag. He was watching her with a warm smile.

Jiang Silu hurried over to him and asked in surprise, "Dad, what are you doing here?"

Lu Fan handed her the bag, smiling. "I brought you some snacks. I was worried you’d be exhausted from your design work and hungry. You didn’t answer your phone, so I asked Shiting and she told me you were out here practicing your dance."

Jiang Silu took the bag, her face flushing slightly. "Thank you, Dad."

Lu Fan glanced at the small group of girls in the corner, then at the large group in the center of the plaza. "Why are you practicing over here?" he asked. "Isn’t that whole space over there free?"

"The upperclassmen are practicing there. We’re fine over here," Jiang Silu explained quietly, shaking her head.

Lu Fan glanced in their direction but said nothing.

He thought for a moment, then said, "I have a gym downtown. It’s huge and has great lighting. Why don’t you go practice there? I’ll have Chen He give you a ride."

Jiang Silu was taken aback. "Won’t that be too much trouble?"

"Not at all. It’s just sitting empty anyway," Lu Fan replied with a dismissive wave of his hand.

Lu Yao overheard them from the side, and her eyes lit up. "For real? Uncle Lu! That’s amazing!"

She ran over and grabbed Jiang Silu’s hand. "Silu, your dad is the best!"

The other girls gathered around as well, whispering among themselves.

Lu Fan told Chen He to go get the car, then exchanged a few more words with Jiang Silu, reminding her not to overwork herself.

Jiang Silu nodded, a warm feeling spreading through her heart.

After a drive of about twenty minutes, the car pulled up in front of a large building.

The girls got out of the car and followed Lu Fan inside.

The elevator ascended to the fifth floor. When the doors slid open, everyone froze in astonishment.

The gym was absurdly huge. The entire floor was lined with floor-to-ceiling windows that offered a panoramic view of half the city’s night skyline.

The workout area was packed with rows of treadmills, ellipticals, and weight machines—all brand new and gleaming under the lights.

The yoga studio had light-colored wood flooring and walls covered in massive mirrors that stretched from one end of the room to the other.

The dance studio was even larger. With the flip of a switch, the lights came on, illuminating the space as brightly as day.

Lu Yao was the first to dash in. She did a twirl on the wood floor and yelled excitedly, "This place is insane! It’s even bigger than the university’s gymnasium!"

Another girl named Lin Xiaoyi followed, her eyes practically popping out of her head. "I can’t even imagine how much a place like this costs..."

The girl beside her, Chen Yu, whispered to Jiang Silu, "Silu, what does your dad do? Does your family own this gym?"
