Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension
Chapter 532 - 530:Let me tell you.
Chapter 532: Chapter 530:Let me tell you.
The region of space was supposed to be naturally silent, with nothing being heard out here, and yet somehow, the silence that had taken hold of this region the moment those words left that... thing’s lips was one that everyone felt.
Aunt V, even in her trembling state, still shot me a wary look, worry clear on her face.
"Little Dante... this..."
"Ravena... are you really just going to ignore me?" Her words were cut short by the increasingly confident voice of the thing that seemed to have forgotten its place.
"Don’t tell me..." Its gaze shifted toward me. "This is who you thought you could replace me with? A boy? You amuse me, Ravena." The thing laughed, clearly amused at something that wasn’t funny.
"You... you can’t be here... Big brother... he killed you."
"Your foolish brother killed a clone I sent out with the delegates of that time, a thing I did put of amusement, nothing more. Don’t tell me you truly believe that peasant capable of laying a hand on me?" The thing scoffed, an amused expression appearing on its face as it somehow couldn’t feel the deepening silence falling upon the region.
"To think all my time spent thinking of how I was finally going to come punish that middling planet by myself without all these annoying complications coming up, only to have you show up here and deliver yourself to me, truly how wondrous fate is." Aunt V seemed especially affected by the words of this creature as she seemed incapable of holding her own against anything that came out of its mouth, something that shook me to no end.
My own Aunt V, that confident and strong woman, trembling like a leaf before another man? So much so that she couldn’t even look me in the eye?
"Dante..." Shaia’s call fell on deaf ears as right now all I could feel was the violent rushing of my blood, the roaring sound of my origins begging me to devour this thing, to send it to oblivion. But I held off; I needed to—
"Do not make me repeat myself, Ravena, or have you forgotten to whom you belon—"
All the restraint I’d been trying to have was instantly thrown out the window the moment those words dared leave the lips of the creature.
"Ummppphhhh!!!!" The thing’s eyes widened in sheer horror as my hand shoved deep into its mouth, grabbing hold of its filthy tongue.
Its body began trembling as it finally remembered just where it was. It seemed to have forgotten just what had come for it. Maybe it was the fact that he seemed to have something over Aunt V, that he believed this scenario was going to end differently?
"Filthy... worm." I didn’t even know what to think of my own voice as it didn’t sound like anything to my ears. "Your tongue... allow me to take it."
"Uuummmppphhhhh!!!" The protests from the creature fell on deaf ears as—
RIIIIIP!!!!
The sound of flesh being torn resonated through the silent region as the tongue was torn clean from the creature’s mouth, its filthy blood splashing onto my face. But I ignored it, my eyes locked onto the agony-filled gaze of the filthy animal that had dared spout such blasphemous words about my Aunt V.
"Your mouth," my hand clenched tightly around its lower jaw, "you have no use for it."
A tight squeeze, and—
SQUELCH!
It was turned into meat paste.
The shocking turn of events seemed to be one the gathered Calderans were unable to reconcile themselves with, but I was uncaring for their shock.
"Kill." That’s all I needed right now. Blood. To wash away this stain. To maybe cool this rage boiling within me.
"How many?" Shulvan asked, his hand already reaching for his bladeless hilt.
"Everything. No life shall exist within these regions ever again."
"Thy will... be done."
Hummmmm
The region lit up a malevolent crimson as Shulvan made his move, but not before I gave out my final order:
"The Calderans. Kill none. Not a hair on their heads shall be harmed. For them, death will be a luxury."
"Your will be done." This time it wasn’t just Shulvan, as Paku and Malachi moved as well.
CRACK!!!
The region split into two jagged sections as Shulvan’s sword struck, multiple worlds dying out with a wink, turning to nothing but space dust.
ZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTT!!!
Y
Paku’s crimson beam washed over another region as his attack leveled an entire galaxy, the lives within paying for the sins of their masters.
The restraint I had been planning on imposing on these guys was no longer needed. These filthy animals weren’t deserving of such treatment.
Silence returned to the space we were at as Shulvan had courteously cleared the place of any celestial bodies, allowing me to return to my thoughts.
"Da... Dante..." Aunt V’s shaky voice came from behind me as her arms wrapped around my waist.
I could still feel the trembling in er body as she seemed unable to calm herself, my own rage mounting even further as my grip on the filthy creature tightened, threatening to crush the animal’s skull on the spot, but I held off.mind just y bnjbvtijr to m
"Aunt V..." My voice came out colder than anything I ever wanted Aunt V to hear from my way of addressing her, but I wasn’t in my right mind at this point.
"I’ll tell you everything..." Like always, she seemed to understand me even without any words. "Just not here... please."
Her words stoked something in me, and I couldn’t help but hold myself back.
"Fine."
"Shaia...."
"Worry not. If my sister wishes for her privacy, then nothing in all of creation and beyond will see her vulnerability."
"Thank you."
"Your welcome. Just make sure you listen and not fly into a murderous rage too soon."
Looking at and feeling the trembling from Aunt V—
"I can’t promise you anything, Shaia."
I turned around, my eyes locking with those of the only other person still here who could understand the situation clearly.
"Watch over them, Leo. Whoever they bring, whoever it is that bears that filthy name, they shall not leave your sight until my return."
"Worry not, just go do what you must."
I nodded, wrapped my hands around Aunt V, and with a thought, appeared within an empty room in the Absolute Mansion.
I walked, the silence around us feeling oppressive as I made my way toward the bed, placing her gently atop the soft mattress before taking a seat right beside her.
"Alright, Aunt V... I’m listening."
I’d already known my aunt to be hiding pieces of her past from me. The fact that she never mentioned Mel’s father. The fact that she never once spoke about why the Drakens had called her a husband-killer once upon a time. I knew nothing of those bits, and I’d been ready to continue on, at least until she was ready to open up by herself, but this... this was a lot.
First, some animal appears, calling her his wife. And then going as far as daring to claim she belonged to him—
"My love... breathe... you’re losing yourself. You’ll scare her away if you keep acting like this."
"But, Shaia..."
"She needs you now more than you need any answers, my love. She’s afraid and clearly haunted by something. This isn’t about you. And I need you to look past your anger and see it for what it is. Your lover needs you, don’t push her, Dante, just be present."
"Haaaa...." I could only sigh helplessly at Shaia’s words as I took a deep breath and waited for Aunt V to open up.
The silence remained. Uncomfortable and charged with feelings too heavy to put into words. Just when I thought I’d have to leave here without understanding anything once again—
"Will you look at me differently?" Aunt V’s voice finally broke the silence. Small. Fragile. Not one trace of the usual confidence I knew her to have.
"Never." My reply was instantaneous.
"I would never look at you differently, Aunt V," I turned to my side, pulling her into a grounding hug. "I merely wish to understand, Aunt V. Let me, this time, be the one to understand you... please."
I pleaded as the silence returned once more, but this time it was a lot less oppressive.
"Haaa... alright, Dante." She finally relented, pulling herself from my embrace as her black, jeweled eyes locked onto mine. "Let me tell you something I have had to endure all my life."

A/N: I was almost not writing the next Chapter after remembering what comes next, but the story must go on.
I’ll be going off to sleep now. Expect the second and maybe third Chapter in a few hours. I’m hella intent on recalibrating myself, and aunt V’s story isn’t something to be written while half aslep so bear with me and as always, always,
