"Hahahaha... don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll be too occupied with surviving aunt v than thinking about me." My words made her shudder in dread.
"Ugh... Melissa, can I not go?" She tried to chicken out, but,

"Ughh..." she groaned, trudging away.
"Big brother!!!" The little guy jumped on top of my head in excitement.

"Lucien doesn’t want to go, but big sisters say he has to." The kid pouted.
"Hahahaha!! Of course you have to. If you aren’t there, who’ll protect your big sisters while I’m not around?"
His eyes widened in comic realization.

"Hmm. Hmm!" He nodded his little head vigorously before teleporting into the waiting arms of the demoness.
"Alrigh, D, we’re leaving, take care of Mira." Melissa
"I will." I replied as I waved them off, watching them get onto the teleportation platform, as the platform came on and their figures teleported away.
"Guess that leaves you two then."
"Humph! Finally paying me some attention huh?" Kaila
"Khalifa, will you really be okay?" Once again, ignored.
"Stop... Dante.. I’m not some delicate flower, besides, I’m just going to meet my mother, it’s not like I’m going to war or anything, if anything, I should be the one worrying about you deceiving poor Mira over there." She smiled, hugging me tightly.
I laughed, returning her hug, before,
"I know, it’s just... Haa.. big families and their drama, you understand."
"Hehehe.. don’t worry, mother isn’t like anything you think, she’s more like Kaila if anything."
"Oh.. No... that’s even worse."
"You bastard!"
"Hehehe..."

"Alright Dante, we’re going now." I watched as the two got unto the platform, ready to teleport, with Kaila still visibly upset, though she tried to hide it behind feigned nonchalance.
"Huh?" Her body went rigid as I hugged her tenderly.
"Don’t go thinking useless thoughts. I’m only like this because I know you’re a lot stronger than that naive girl over there." I whispered into her ears, only for her hearing.
Her body shivered within my embrace.
"You know your sister more than me, so I’ll be entrusting her to your care, Kaila, come back to me, both of you. And should any complications arise, don’t hesitate to call me, I’ll be sure to raze down the entire badlands should even a hair be touched on either of your heads."
"Fufufufu.. if I didn’t know better, I’d have thought this would be an acceptance speech of my confessions, hehehe.."
"In time, my psychotic elf... in time~~" I blew a hot breath into her long ears as I said those words, her body shuddering within my embrace.
"Careful, Dante... you might actually make my heart move."
"Hahaha!! Just bring back my exhibitionistic and naive elf, safe and sound, then we can have a meaningful conversation my psycho elf." I separated from her with a loud laugh as the two ladies, Mira and Khalifa, looked at us in confusion.
"Alright, Dante. I look forward to that conversation." She replied as the platform lit up, both women being teleported away before Khalifa could ask any questions.

"Well then, I guess it’s just you and me then." I turned to Mira, the young woman looking as stunning as ever.
"You know, you’d look a lot more beautiful if you didn’t have that annoyed look on your face."
"What?" Her hands flew to her face as she checked for any discrepancies.
"Not your expression. That’s flawless, as always, I’m talking about your eyes."
"My eyes?"
"They’re not shining their usual luster, that unmistakable gleam of annoyance is blocking it, such a shame too, I love your eyes." I muttered offhandedly.
"Wha.. what?"
"I said I loved how your eyes glowed with calm detachment and calculations, not this muted annoyance."

A beat of silence passed between us before,
"Haaa.... I’m sorry Dante." She sighed, an apologetic smile appearing on her face.
"I’m just a bit frustrated is all."
"Does this have anything to do with why your mother called you back home?"
"Would you believe me if I said it didn’t?"
I just leveled her a dead stare.
"Haa.. fine. It does. Just. Not here, please, at least let’s get there first before I can bother myself thinking about it anymore."
"Alright then." I smiled, moving towards our own assigned platform, stretching forth my hand, "shall we?"
She smiled, a genuine one this time.
"Let’s shall." As she took my hand and got into the platform as well.
A humming sound filled that air as the platform came on and then.

We were gone.

After multiple teleportations through various cities, Mira refusing to stop even once to appreciate any scenery, we finally arrived at a..
"Forest?" I looked around, confused.
"Hehehe! It’s not a forest, Dante, it’s merely an illusion array." At the sound of Mira’s voice, I instinctively used my <Eyes of Truth>, and then,
"Ohh? Now what do we have here?" I smiled.
"You see it?"
"Heh! Of course I do, nothing can hide from my gaze." I replied without turning around.
"Haaa.. why am I not surprised? Let’s just get this over with.." Mira sighed as she grabbed my arm, pulling me ahead, our bodies disappearing through the haze..

The moment we stepped through the boundary, the atmosphere changed.
The noise of the outside world disappeared, replaced by a quiet serenity that was strangely refreshing.
"Heh..."
A smile found its way onto my face.
Cherry blossom trees stretched as far as the eye could see, their ancient branches swaying gently as countless petals drifted through the air in an endless dance. No matter how many fell, the trees never seemed any less full, as though spring had chosen this place as its eternal home.
Elegant white stone pathways wound through crystal-clear streams and peaceful gardens, leading toward majestic estates carved from white jade and polished darkwood. Nothing here screamed wealth or power.
It didn’t have to.
Everything was refined.
Everything simply... belonged.
I let my gaze wander across the estate before it settled on a small group tending one of the gardens.
"...Now that’s interesting."
Five gardeners.
Not servants.
Not guards.
Just gardeners.
Yet every single one of them possessed an aura no weaker than A-Rank.
My gaze lingered on the five gardeners for another moment before a grin slowly spread across my face.

Yet, it was impossible for me to mistake her for anyone else,

"Ha!.. hahahahaahaha!!!" I laughed, somehow relaxing as it seemed she hadn’t change at all.
"Of course I did, what kind of man would I be if I forgot such a radiant flower?"
"Oh I don’t know? The kind that doesn’t flirt with everything that puts on a skirt and has big breasts and perky butts?"
"Now, now, let’s not go slandering god’s greatest gifts to mankind."
"Hehehehe!! It’s good to see you haven’t let the central continent change you one bit, Dante."
I smiled, a warm expression on my face as I opened my arms, inviting her into an embrace she gladly accepted.
My eyes closed as I took a deep breath, a sudden peace washing over me as I relaxed.
"So am I, Clarissa. So am I."
