Chapter 294: Too Hot For Us!

Everyone: “…”

Runeth: “Ah, so that’s where everyone was!” She said with a giggle.

Going on what happened in the last chapter, you might think that the title is implying that…Guanyu is now wearing something far too sexy, right? Instead, we’re all currently in that ocean Celia made a while ago, in our bikinis and swimsuits. In fact, the wedding is over, and a LOT of people have left Home, fixing all of those previously mentioned interference problems. Strangely, shortly after Celia and Guanyu left on a date (one outside of Home), the temperature of Home shot up to literally deathly levels.

Even the male side of Home is here, in these (oddly still perfect temp) waters. I think that Celia added some Enchantment to keep it perfect, without us knowing. There isn’t a real sun in Home, so it is more like the ambient air/temp is hotter than an industrial oven; at least 5,000F. We did notice that one of the daughters was missing, but, since it was this daughter, it wasn’t alarming, as Runeth is often gone off on her own randomly.

Vulely: “You should at least put your swimwear on, Runeth.” I suggested with a deadpan tone.

Runeth: “I do not yet see my wives, but, if they saw me in my bikini…well, sex will happen. Such a thing isn’t a good idea in the current atmosphere, you see.” She replied with a shrug, not realizing that her wives will still find her wet-clothed body quite sexy.

Ria: “Did you just return to Home, Runeth? Where were you during this strange climate event?” She asked with a concerned tone.

Runeth: “I’ve been here the entire time.” She denied, channeling too much of Celia, reply not answering her really at all.

Ria: “…”

Zia: “We’ve been in the water for a day now, so how is that possible? You, of all people, won’t have the patience to withstand such heat for that long…” She expressed with a raised eyebrow.

Could we all just, like, leave Home for a bit, until this heat is fixed up? Logically speaking, yes, absolutely; Celia has even removed the various restrictions and barriers of entry into Home. So really even the weakest resident of Home can leave, and come back whenever the issue is resolved. However, Higher Beings are stubborn, prideful, and lazy, so there is no way any of us would dare leave when our lives aren’t actually threatened.

Runeth: “Hey, funny thing…I found a section of Home, with controls and a Pure Mana setup like the System. Apparently, it is quite the delicate piece of machinery.” She nonchalantly informed, as she lazily dog-paddled around in the water.

Vulely: “Is that the safe method of you saying that this heat is your doing, Runeth?” I asked with an unsure, but frustrated tone.

Runeth: “The one at fault is whoever created Home in the first place. I simply touched a single Pure Mana Thread gently, it snapping, and then we were in sun-tier temperature. While hidden, that location had no safeguards in place, either.” Was her poor justification for cooking us while we’re still alive.
