Celestial Night Emperor
Chapter 246: What on Earth Is a Chief Instructor?
Chapter 246: Chapter 246: What on Earth Is a Chief Instructor?
After sending a message to Lingsu, Qin Tianxuan left the Ding residence.
Before long, the team from the Celestial Medicine Hall arrived.
Along with Lingsu, Han Biwei and Niannian were also in the Celestial Medicine Hall’s vehicle.
Ding Shaoyang never imagined they would arrive so quickly.
Confused, he ordered the main gate opened and told his wife to quickly bring back their son, who was resting.
Ding Shaoyang and his family stood inside, watching the people bustling in and out with a hint of skepticism.
But the moment Lingsu appeared, Ding Shaoyang was overcome with excitement.
"It really is the Divine Doctor from the Celestial Medicine Hall! I’ve seen her picture before—it was from a victory banquet in the Imperial Capital. There’s no mistaking it."
Ding Shaoyang’s wife was apprehensive. She glanced at her dazed son. "Are they really that incredible? We’ve been to so many hospitals, and no one dared to perform this kind of surgery. Can they actually do it? This doctor looks so young, and she’s a woman, too."
Ding Shaoyang shot his wife a glare. "What are you talking about?"
Lingsu smiled faintly. "To be honest, when it comes to complex illnesses, the common cold, or even terminal cancer, a Celestial Doctor from the Battle Department isn’t necessarily better than a doctor at a conventional hospital."
"Our primary duty as Celestial Doctors in the Battle Department is to deal with battlefield casualties. When it comes to medical equipment and facilities, we can’t compare to major hospitals.
"However! For an injury like your son’s—with shrapnel still in his head—our Celestial Medicine Hall is without a doubt the best! We’ve encountered this situation on the battlefield far too many times. In terms of both experience and specialized techniques, those hospitals simply can’t compare!"
A medical van drove directly onto the Ding property, and the anesthesiology team was already on standby.
Lingsu’s Celestial Medicine Hall was pulling out all the stops this time.
As Ding Shaoyang calmed down, he approached Lingsu and bowed deeply. "For Mr. Qin to be able to summon the Celestial Medicine Hall... who on earth is he?"
Lingsu smiled. "You’re a smart man, Mr. Ding. There are some things you should understand without me having to spell them out."
Ding Shaoyang’s gaze flickered as he considered the possibility. ’Could he be... the Night Emperor...?’
He couldn’t believe it, but he had no choice but to.
Lingsu nodded. "As long as you understand. For the Sir to give a direct order to us at the Celestial Medicine Hall... your Ding Family must have been blessed by the heavens."
「Meanwhile, outside Jin City Central Hospital.」
Sun Haodong and his family sat in their car, laughing and chatting cheerfully.
The second brother, Sun Xiong, jumped out of the car. With a few of his buddies from the Battle Department who had just arrived, he stormed menacingly into the hospital lobby.
"Which room is Xia Xueqing in? We’re from the Martial Arts Arena, and we’re looking for someone!" one of Sun Xiong’s buddies bellowed as they walked in.
The hospital lobby was dead silent. To their surprise, no one paid them any mind.
"Well now, this hospital is different from how it used to be. Did they replace all the security guards?"
One of the guys, reeking of alcohol, stumbled over to a security guard. "You know who I am? My cousin is the captain of the Personal Guard for the Martial Arts Arena’s Chief Instructor, Liu Huaxia!"
The guard snorted. "That’s a long-winded introduction. And who the hell is Liu Huaxia?"
"Fuck!"
The man from the Battle Department flew into a rage and swung a slap at the guard.
His wrist was instantly bent back at a ninety-degree angle.
The guard looked up and smiled. "I’m with the Personal Guard of the Northern Domain Battle Department. I guess you could say your cousin and I are in the same line of work!"
All the security staff at Central Hospital had been replaced by Qin Tianxuan’s Personal Guard.
It was a development they could never have imagined!
The man Sun Xiong had brought with him stared at his own wrist, then let out a scream that was barely human.
The guard on the other side smiled. "Don’t be afraid. This is a hospital. Even if we beat you half to death, they can save you."
Hearing the scream, Sun Xiong charged over with his men.
Before he could even speak, the guard moved. He was a blur of motion, and in a flurry of quick, decisive strikes, he knocked down all of Sun Xiong’s lackeys.
The men lay on the floor, screaming in agony. Sun Xiong was on the ground with them, but he still tried to sound tough. "You’re finished, you little security guard! Do you know who my brothers work for? I’m telling you, they’re the Chief Instructor’s men from the Martial Arts Arena!"
"Chief Instructor Liu Huaxia—you know who that is? Who in Jin City doesn’t know the name Instructor Liu?"
Sun Xiong could only roar to keep his own courage up.
He had intimidated countless people just by dropping Liu Huaxia’s name; in Jin City, at least, that trick was usually very effective.
But this time...
The guard’s expression remained unchanged. He suddenly turned and bowed respectfully. "Sir. Lord Wutian. You’ve arrived."
Qin Tianxuan and Wutian appeared.
"This man is Sun Xiong, the second son of the Sun Family."
Qin Tianxuan glanced over. "Don’t disturb my sister. Just handle it here."
Sun Xiong was stunned.
He pointed at Qin Tianxuan. "You... you’re that damn girl’s brother?"
’Damn girl?’
Qin Tianxuan’s eyebrow twitched. "Slap his face."
Wutian appeared in a flash, delivering ten hard slaps across Sun Xiong’s face.
The crisp sound of each slap echoed in the air.
Sun Xiong held his head high, his neck stiff. "Go on, hit me! Kill me if you’ve got the guts! Just you wait... wait until the Chief Instructor gets here with his men! We’ll see how you die then!"
Qin Tianxuan raised his hand in a gesture.
Wutian grunted, lowering his hand and stepping back.
"This guy is all bark and no bite," Wutian said. "Still pinning his hopes on that Chief Instructor."
Qin Tianxuan frowned. "Which Chief Instructor?"
Wutian smiled. "Have you forgotten, Sir? It’s that Liu Huaxia. I ran into him with my men at the crossroads. He’s a good-for-nothing, a complete waste of space."
Qin Tianxuan looked at the defiant Sun Xiong. "Bring Liu Huaxia out! Let this man see him clearly!"
Sun Xiong and his men shuddered, looking up in disbelief. ’Instructor Liu is here, too?’
The thought had barely crossed their minds when they heard whimpering and begging.
Liu Huaxia was carried in on a stretcher, still begging for mercy. "I was wrong, please spare me! I’m just a dog! I’m really just a dog!"
The Chief Instructor of the Martial Arts Arena had been beaten senseless.
Across from them, Sun Xiong and his cronies were completely and utterly dumbfounded.
The man they saw as the invincible Liu Huaxia, the strongest Chief Instructor in all of Jin City, was now lying on a stretcher, looking as if his very soul had been broken.
