Chapter 3196: Cosmic Calamity Tree
Date: Unspecified
Time: Unspecified
Location: Myriad Cosmos Corridor, Unknown
“Why so quiet? What are you thinking about?” BoBo asked while I was mourning the loss of an opportunity to befriend a Ruler-Class World Calamity Tree that had undergone Bloodline Awakening.
“What is the relationship between World Calamity Trees like?” I asked, hoping to find solace in BoBo’s answer.
“Those with incomplete consciousness show indifference. As for those with complete consciousness, like you and the one in your memories, it depends on the individual. Though the one in your memories seemed to be trying to befriend you. But it appears you were too wary and spooked to understand its intention and ran away. You could have avoided that misunderstanding if you had tried talking with another World Calamity Tree instead of sealing your senses and running away,” BoBo pointed out based on my memories, showing how one can easily misread the situation when they hear just one side of the story.
“How am I supposed to talk to it when it was constantly bombarding me with information I didn’t understand? And also, how do World Calamity Trees communicate?” I pointed out what BoBo failed to take into account, and I also genuinely wanted to know how World Calamity Trees communicated.
The mental exchange between BoBo and me earlier was only possible because she seemed capable of hearing my thoughts. Not clearly, but enough to keep the conversation going. That was how she was able to answer me with such accuracy. Otherwise, most of the time, both of us wouldn’t have a clue what the other was talking about. It was like two people trying to communicate in a third language that they rarely used.
“Oh, there is that. I guess that guy was too excited to find a fellow tribesman in a dangerous realm that seemed capable of devouring it instead,” BoBo nodded, occasionally eyeing the remaining fruits on my branches. “As for how World Calamity Trees communicate? That was by intertwining their roots. It allowed them to communicate mentally, like how they commanded their Daughter Seeds. If they were far apart, they impaled their roots into each other’s Daughter Seeds to communicate through them.
“Wait a minute, aren’t you a World Calamity Tree? Shouldn’t you know that already?”
BoBo stopped eyeing the fruits and then stared into the void with a narrow frown.
Meanwhile, with the new information I had just gained, I was beginning to understand why the Ruler Class World Calamity Tree did what it did and how deeply I had misunderstood it.
“You are actually a human soul that transmigrated into a different human body across the Myriad Cosmos!” BoBo suddenly exclaimed. “And managed to become a Celestial and World Calamity Tree hybrid.
“No wonder the system flagged you as a Myriad Cosmos Singularity.”
“Didn’t you already know that? I thought you knew that,” I said, but my mind was in total chaos. All my secrets were out in the open. The only sliver of hope was that BoBo didn’t show any hostility toward me.
“Not only are you one of the luckiest humans alive to experience an extremely rare phenomenon like transmigration, but you were daring enough to become a Celestial and World Calamity Tree hybrid. What’s more amazing is your realm. For a low-level mortal to achieve so much, not bad. As expected of someone flagged to have the potential to become a Cosmic Calamity Tree.”
The more BoBo spoke, the more excited she got. It was as if she had struck a gold mine, and her smile grew wider the longer the gold vein was.
As for me: Too much information, can’t process, please slow down!
Transmigration is an extremely rare phenomenon?
And what is this Cosmic Calamity Tree she keeps going on about?
Well, I guess I should be happy that she hadn’t shown any hostility or other motives toward me yet.
That’s a good sign, right?
Regardless, now that I had found the solution to my dilemma, I needed to start collecting data on this place and everything else.
“BoBo, is it just you, or are all Primordial Pixies immune to my Daughter Seeds?” I asked the pixie, who couldn’t help giggling as she kept scanning my form from every possible angle.
“No, dummy, we are not immune to Daughter Seeds. Those seeds and your fragrance are like tonic to us. You don’t mind if I eat the other fruits too, do you?” BoBo asked out of politeness but began eating the fruit even before I answered her. “Ah, as expected of a Myriad Cosmos Singularity, these Calamity Fruits are the best I’ve ever had.”
BoBo’s words made me rethink everything I had speculated about the relationship between the Pixies and the World Calamity Seed. However, most of those speculations were based on DreDre and MayMay’s reactions to my fragrance.
Come to think of it, I never felt the urge to eat DreDre or MayMay, who appeared to literally present themselves to me on a silver platter. If anything, I found them too clingy, especially MayMay, with her grown, indecently mature body. It was because of the dirty deed that transpired between us that I had given up on inter-realm sector WS9909, the martial arts hub of the inter-realm city. The favorite place of Field Marshal Lara Lorn in the entire Inter-realm city.
“Are you sure that’s the case? Because a Pixie and an Elder Pixie I know both showed very concerning behaviour toward my fragrance,” I asked BoBo directly, not wasting time trying to figure things out myself, as I clearly didn’t have the information needed to do that.
“The Primordial Pixies of the realm you come from? They’re all under a very powerful curse cast by a barred being in the Myriad Realms you belong to. And your fragrance and seeds are a natural cure for that curse. The pixies themselves don’t know it yet but their bodies do, which is why these pixies act like that around you. It is also why that barred being is hunting down all the World Calamity Trees in your realm.”
