Chapter 119: Chapter 118: Knowledge

Within the bounds of the Mizukai hospital, Caesar stood close to her comatose brothers, peering down at them in sadness.

While this happened, a familiar masculine voice sounded behind her.

"Well what do you know? Looks like the little protector has failed in protecting."

Caesar turned hastily and saw the person to be her father Albagon Moon, standing close to the entrance of the door.

As soon as Albagon entered in, his wife - Caesar’s mother Silvia Moon followed in as well with a smile on her face.

"What do you want?" Caesar asked as she furrowed her brows.

"Just came to how the boys were doing and by the looks of it, they are not doing well." Her father answered, "Odd, isn’t it? Didn’t you say you’ll protect the rats? Were you all talk?"

"Did you even mean any of those words, girl?" Caesar’s father asked as he slightly tilted his head to the left.

"I meant it when I said I’ll protect them." Caesar firmly answered.

"Except you didn’t." Albagon flatly replied, "You didn’t protect them, you endangered them."

"Your lack of strength is what brought them to their situation." Her father continued as Caesar’s eyes widened, "If you were strong enough they wouldn’t be in those beds."

"Shut up!" Caesar angrily said.

"You know I’m saying the truth, girl." Caesar’s father said with a scowl, "You are responsible for their condition!

You took the role of a being a shield to them but you were weak!"

"Shut up!" Caesar said again.

"A weak shield cannot protect anyone." Caesar’s father said, "A weak shield is a liability. It is better not to have a shield at all than to have one that fails st the job, girl!"

"I said... Shut! Up!" Caesar said in fury as she lunged towards her father and grabbed him by collar while having her fist raised to attack.

While Caesar’s fist was raised, she gritted her teeth and her irises glowed.

"My, my, are you going to swing on your own parents again?" Caesar’s mother asked while smiling smugly.

Caesar glanced at her mother before shifting her sight back to her father.

"But Albagon is right. You promised to protect them no matter what.

You swore to cut loose and give in to your ’otherside’ to ensure their protection but what did you do? One step forward, three steps backward.

Pathetic."

"Our little boys... Your little brothers." Caesar’s mother continued as Caesar snapped her eyes shut in trying to control her rage and pain, "I may not have liked any of you three but when I make a promise, I’d go to even the deepest parts of hell to keep it... Something you couldn’t do... You ’failed’ to do."

"Once again, my dear husband... Your father is right. Ruz ... That hit woman Bea Reaper... You are as responsible as they are for your brothers injuries." Caesar’s mother said with a smile as she slightly tilted her head

Now it might take months or even years before they wake up and even if they do, Rai may never walk again."

"Isn’t it funny? That young lady who despises Mizukais is now relying on them to keep her brothers alive." Caesar’s mother continued talking as her irises glowed, "The same people that made her life hell and are still making it hell are now her only chance to save her brothers from death!

Without the medical tech, they are as good as gone!"

"So... Pathetic." Caesar’s mother said as her evil smile grew wider.

"Here is the truth pill you have to swallow, girl." Caesar’s father said with a glare, "Even if Balland’s powerful friends came... Even if some or all of the eleven other families that run Neo-earth steps in and demands for your freedom after proving yourself to them and thriving for a year, you’ll still never be free from them... Not with the safety of your brothers depending on the money and equipment of the Mizukais."

Caesar’s face softened in hearing those words, leading her to slowly loosen her grip round his collar.

Caesar slowly turned around to look at her brothers laying in the hospital bed but what she saw wasn’t her brothers or the bed but two tombstones with the names of Rai Moon and Eyo Moon on them.

In seeing that, Caesar’s eyes widened in horror.

Caesar swiftly sat up from her bed and rapidly panted in horror.

Her irises glowed while sweat trickled down her face.

Later in the morning as Caesar was working in the Balland and Barnes bakery, Caesar stood entranced in front of an oven, oblivious to her surroundings.

For some time the noise around her sounded dull but a certain sound persisted and grew louder.

"Caesar! Caesar!!" A masculine voice called.

Caesar immediately got hold of herself and turned to see a male beastfolk staring at her with both arms crossed.

"What? Is there anything wrong?" Caesar asked in a confusion.

"You’ve been staring at the oven for twenty minutes now. What the hell?!" The beastfolk said.

"I... Uh... I apologize for that." Caesar said, "Just had some things going on in my mind."

"Don’t we all?" The beastfolk asked.

The sound of objects crashing made the ears of Caesar and the other beastfolk perk, bringing them to turn to it’s direction.

"YOU SON OF A BITCH!!" A masculine voice echoed.

Caesar and the beastfolk rushed in and to their surprise, they found their coworkers trying to separate an angry blonde male human coworker from an enraged redhead male beastfolk customer.

"That’s right! I fucked your wife! Her tits tasted sweet!" The beastfolk said to the human while smiling, "Ain’t my fault you weak in between the knees!"

"You little...!" The human said as he put more effort to break through, "I’ll kill you!"

Caesar joined in restraining the human.

The beastfolk smiled and chuckled.

"Throwing a weak ass punch like that, I can see why your wife is frustrated in bed! Weak in fighting, weak in fucking!

Tell your wife ’Next time, I’m gonna have you scream my name!’ "

The human screamed out loud in rage as his face turned red while his irises glowed.

"Someone get that bastard out of here, now!" Caesar said.

Immediately, some of the coworkers restraining the beastfolk quickly dragged him away from the scene and shoved him out of the bakery.

The beastfolk stumbled but as soon as he regained his footing, he simply chuckled and straightened his clothes.

The beastfolk then turned around and let out another smug smile.

"Those kids aren’t even yours!" The beastfolk said as he spread his arms apart, "They aren’t! Tell your wife I said hi!"

Caesar turned her gaze to the human they were restraining and found him puffing heavily while his irises were still glowing.

"Call the police." The human said.

"Huh?" Caesar said in confusion.

"One of us is about to go to jail right now." The human said.

"Yo, man, what are you saying?" A green haired male beastfolk coworker asked in confusion.

Immediately the human rushed into the kitchen and picked up a knife.

As soon as the human arrived back, the crew swiftly rushed in to restrain him again.

"Woah! Woah! Chill, bro! Chill!" A female among them said.

"Yeah, chill!" A masculine voice sounded, "This isn’t worth going to prison over!"

"Don’t ruin your life because of this!" Another masculine voice sounded.

As they were restraining the human while trying to reason with him, the sound of a door opening resonated, leading some of the crew to turn and see the person to be their boss Balland.

"Sorry, I came late." Balland said as he placed his keys in his pockets, "Good thing I warned everyone on time that I might not make it early today."

At the moment Balland raised his head, he found his workers restraining the human with a knife which led him to furrow his brows.

"What is going on here?" Balland asked.

Elsewhere, AJ, who was wearing a blue short sleeve top, blue cap on his head, black jeans round his waist and black shoes, stood in front of a cream colored house with a brown box in his hands.

AJ took a deep breath and exhaled before clicking on the door bell.

After it had rung, the door opened and the person that stepped out left AJ bewildered.

"... Sol... Quinn?"

Sol stood in front of AJ with both arms crossed, wearing a crimson midriff sleeveless top and dark blue tights.

"Well, ain’t this a surprise." Sol said, "Morning, kid."

"I... Uhm... I... I was supposed to deliver a package t-to Harvey-"

"Quinn?" Sol asked with an arched brow, "That’s my younger brother.

I did tell you last week after our match that I have a family, didn’t I?"

"I-I ... Uhm... I didn’t know you lived with your family." AJ said.

"And I didn’t know you worked as a delivery guy for Cuhc Chicken." Sol replied as she slightly tilted her head, "But here we are."

"Well... It’s one of the few jobs I do when I’m not ero-wrestling." AJ said with a nervous grin.

"Uh huh." Sol said.

"Anyway, I’ll be taking that." Sol said as she took the box from AJ, "I’m sure he sent the money, right?"

"Yeah, he did." AJ answered.

"Good. Now I don’t have to bother paying for him." Sol said.

AJ stared uneasily at Sol for some seconds before he finally spoke.

"Okay... Uhm... I should be going." AJ said, "And... Uhm... Please don’t forget to rate me with a five stars!"

"Wait."

"Huh?" AJ said in confusion, "I-Is there a problem?"

"I need you to stay a little longer. It’s important." Sol said.

"S-sure, I’d like to but I have other things to do and-"

"It’s about your match with Morgan Qrow tomorrow." Sol interjected.

AJ stiffened for a moment and resumed speaking.

"Y-yeah, I know I’m facing Morgan but c-can’t the discussion wait till later?" AJ asked.

"No." Sol answered flatly, "Plus if you stay, I’ll give you both a five stars and an excellent review."

Hearing her offer, AJ stayed silent for a while before sluggishly turning his face away in confliction.

After a time of silence, AJ returned his gaze back at Sol and without the need for words, Sol understood his answer.

"Good. Get in." Sol said, "You really need to know who you’re up against.

You really need to know who and what Morgan Qrow-"

"Reallyis." Sol continued as her irises glowed.
