Chapter 105: Chapter 104: It Doesn’t Matter

Two days after the match in Bellwa city, Cassius sat on his couch, going through his phone while reading the comments of his triple threat match that were still pouring in.

"That match was amazing. Solid work from the fighters... Except Cassius... That guy dumb as fuck"

"Caesar’s pinning style had me weak"

"Cassius, what the hell is wrong with you, man?!?!"

"Caesar flexing with a victory she stole"

"As usual the Mizukais golden child ended up winning the match. How boring"

"Bro, Cassius fumbled harder than physics thought"

"Cassius screwed Cassius"

"Cassius is a clown"

"Nah if I’m Eren, the moment I recover and return, I’m coming for Cassius’s booty"

"You hired people to jump Eren and somehow you ended getting jumped?"

"With the way Cassius screwed up, I find it hard to believe this guy was a champion"

"You know what? I’m glad that vulture of an ero-wrestler lost. Always reaping where he did not sow now it came back to bite him"

As Cassius was still going through the comments, Cassius scoffed.

"Cretins."

Cassius dropped his phone beside him, leaned back on his couch and sighed.

"They don’t know anything." Cassius said to himself.

While Cassius leaned against his couch and closed his eyes, his phone rang out loud, bringing him to snap his eyes back open.

Cassius picked up his phone and gazed at the screen for a moment before clicking it and placing the phone on his ears.

"Yes?"

"Cassius... I know I should start with a greeting and all but I can’t help but ask about the match because what the hell was that?" A feminine voice asked.

"What the hell was what, exactly?" Cassius asked with a smirk.

"Don’t play dumb. You know what I’m talking about." The woman said, "The part were you had the match won but you screwed it up because some random guy ’ruined’ your ’perfect’ pin.

You could have just ignored the guy, gone back to pin Eren and then deal with it backstage if it bothered you that much but no, you had to be you."

"Oh, you’re being such a bore." Cassius replied, "If you look at it, it went better than I expected."

"Cassiuuus...! Are you trying to tick me off? Because if you are, it is clearly working." The woman said.

"No,no, no. I would never dream of crossing you... Unless it is completely worth it." Cassius said with a smug smile.

"Just like how you fumbled the pin was worth it?" The woman asked.

"While I did go out of my way to teach the fool a lesson, my loss wasn’t my fault alone." Cassius responded, "Remember I was also attacked by the very people I hired to help."

"Yes! And that was because you were belittling a member of their crew! What did you think was going to happen?!" The woman asked, "Who were they anyway?"

"Tough enough rookies." Cassius answered, "Offered them some pays and a chance to be drafted into the main roster in exchange for their help. Since they didn’t keep the end of their bargain, I guess I won’t keep mine."

"Besides... You are looking at this from the wrong angle." Cassius continued as he stood on his feet, "I never said for once I was going to win. My only aim in that match was to destroy, ruin and humiliate Eren."

"What?" The woman asked in confusion.

"What? He humiliated me so it’s only right that I do the same." Cassius said as he walked to his kitchen.

"Is that what you think you did?" The woman asked, "I watched the match. The people also watched."

"It was supposed to be his final match before he takes his leave of absence." Cassius said he opened his fridge and took a bottle of juice, "Everyone expected him to win and walk away in dominance but he didn’t.

His send off was a disaster and now he is in the hospital."

"I even went there myself to take some pictures of his state while posing." Cassius said as his smile grew, "You should have seen him... So pathetic.

I even posted them on my page while ridiculing the guy. Priceless."

Cassius placed the phone between his ear and shoulder to open the bottle.

He then went back to holding the phone properly as he took a sip from the bottle.

"Priceless, huh? I thought the whole thing was you redeeming yourself with the supermarket issue but that was never your intention, was it?" The woman asked, "It was just revenge and nothing more.

And because of that, the usurper... The Mizukais golden girl went to take the win."

"I did redeem myself. I broke down Eren." Cassius replied as he slightly tilted his head while smiling, "The usurper just stopped being a target since the supermarket issue.

So what if she won the match? She can have it. It’s just one measly victory."

"You always have an excuse for everything, don’t you?" The woman asked.

"I always have an answer." Cassius replied, "Anway, how did the talk go? The one with Owen?"

The woman stayed silent for a while and responded.

"He seemed more than happy as long as he gets to see her."

"Is it true? That Caesar was being trained by him?" Cassius asked.

"It appears to be so." The woman answered, "If she paid money to be trained then it would be simple but if it was free... Then things are going to get real bumpy between the two... That’s if the Mizukais don’t interfere."

"I thought the entire point was to see if Caesar is worthy to join?" Cassius asked with an arched brow

"Yes. This match will be one of the many things we will use to evaluate her worth." The woman said.

"You know.... Sometimes, I don’t get you." Cassius said.

"I guess the same can be said about you." The woman replied.

After the woman had finished speaking, she cut the call, leaving Cassius to stare at his phone for a moment before he shrugged his shoulders and continued drinking his juice.

Elsewhere , Akari sat on the chair of her furnished office, looking at the blue holographic screen in front of her.

Her demeanor was filled with annoyance, worry and confusion while she held a decorated white cup of tea.

On the screen were several internet topics and majority of them involved Caesar’s victory:

"Caesar Moon stands victorious over Eren Brock and Cassius Gold"

"Caesar Moon steals the victory"

"The usurper has wins the triple threat match"

"A dominant display of the Mizukai representative usurping the victory"

"Caesar Moon pins both the monster and the schemer"

"Caesar Moon wins a chaotic triple threat match. Domination or luck?"

After seeing enough on her screen, Akari slightly tilted her head to the left.

"Tch! How unsightly." Akari said to herself, "To think that I would be getting this... ’workedup’ from see these.

I know it’s too early for me to be feeling like this but still if only Jaenir had stuck to what I told him to do rather and leave it as a one-on-one rather than a triple threat, the little doll would have been a broken one by now."

"Is this feeling coming from the fact that I heard she will soon be free? That in less than a month, she managed to skip a rank and become a mid-carder?" Akari continued speaking in her heart as she furrowed her brows, "I did admit to myself that I no longer cared the outcome or if it was a triple threat as long as Caesar is hurt and humiliated, so why am I bothered?"

"But I guess there is no point of crying over spilled milk." Akari said as she took a sip from her cup.

Akari stared at the photo of Caesar on her screen and continued speaking.

"The idea of Caesar challenging me is really interesting and I never even liked being challenged.

When Caesar defied me and defeated Damien, I hated it yet..."

"I liked it." Akari continued in her mind as a grin crept around her face, "In that match, she was supposed to become that animal’s victim yet she defiantly overcame the odds and won and somehow... I liked it.

Raise the lever, isn’t that right? That’s what I said I will do. Increase the challenges and watch to see how many she can take before she crumbles so why am I bothered with her midcard success?

The bigger they are, the harder they break."

"Though, I must say... She really is more interesting than Kaezan." Akari said to herself as she took a sip from her cup.

While Akari was staring at Caesar’s photo, the sounds of someone knocking on her door echoed, drawing her face to it’s direction.

"Come in" Akari said.

The door opened and a fair skinned woman dressed in a black suit and stepped in with a tablet.

"Lady Akari, here are the updates you requested for earlier." The woman said.

Akari extended her arm forward as a signal for the woman to hand the tablet over.

As the woman walked towards Akari and gave it to her, Akari stared at the screen and smiled.

"Hmmm. He’s doing very good, I see." Akari said, "How long before he is ready to make his return?"

"That we do not know, lady Akari. But when he is, we will alert you." The woman answered.

"Very well. You may go now." Akari said as she nonchalantly waved her hand.

The woman bowed her head and turned her back to walk away.

As soon as she left, Akari stared at the screen again and slowly began to emit a faint blue aura.

Her face was overshadowed, leaving only her grin to pierce through.

"This is so beautiful." Akari said to, "Oh Caesar... My sweet, sweet doll, you have no idea what is in store for you.

In the meantime, keep rising. Keep defying me. In the end, your success..."

" ’Willbecomeyourgreatestenemy’ ." Akari continued as her grin grew wider while her irises glowed.

Meanwhile within the bounds of Mizukai funded hospital, Caesar who was sitting on a chair with her comatose brothers while being fast asleep had a dream of herself standing in a dark room filled with mist and battered bodies.

Caesar while staring down at the severely scarred bodies, lifted her head and saw a black hooded feminine figure standing afar.

The woman turned around, showing her face was covered with a black demonic looking mask.

Slowly ,she brought down her hood, letting her long white hair flow and took off her mask.

The woman was revealed to be Caesar herself whose hair had framed the left side

of her face.

As the wind softly blew on that version of Caesar, her irises glowed however her left eye that was covered by her hair was purple in color while her sclera was black.
