The Second Divine Demon Challenges the Everlasting Puppet [Part 6]
Abil quietly clenched his hands.
He couldn’t help feeling proud.
At the same time, there was a trace of pressure in his heart.
The younger generation was advancing too quickly.
If they wanted to remain worthy of the family, they couldn’t afford to become complacent.
A short distance away, a young man stared at the battlefield with a completely bewildered expression.
He had been watching for quite some time.
Yet he still couldn’t understand what he was seeing.
"Father..."
He tugged lightly at Abil’s sleeve.
"What are they fighting about?"
Abil didn’t answer immediately.
The young man tilted his head upward and squinted at the sky.
There were countless streaks of light flashing across the heavens.
They collided.
They separated.
Then they disappeared into the distance before appearing somewhere else.
The battlefield was moving so quickly that his eyes could barely keep up.
As for the Great Laws of the World...
They were simply too profound for him.
He couldn’t understand them at all.
After staring for a while longer, the young man finally turned back toward his father.
"Tell me!"
Abil lowered his eyes and glanced at his son.
There was no softness in his expression.
Instead, he answered in a completely straightforward manner.
"Train hard and see for yourself."
The young man’s face immediately fell.
"..."
That wasn’t the answer he had wanted.
He opened his mouth, seemingly wanting to complain.
But when he saw his father’s expression, he wisely swallowed the words.
Abil turned his attention back toward the battlefield.
Then, after a moment, he spoke again.
"In this Golden Age, our Salvatore family is fortunate."
His voice carried a quiet seriousness.
"We are blessed to have the Patriarch lifting us higher and higher."
He paused.
Then he looked down at his son.
"You must cultivate diligently."
The young man remained silent.
His expression became a little bitter.
Abil wasn’t finished.
"Don’t think that being born into the Salvatore family means you can relax."
His tone was calm, but there was weight behind every word.
"The family is rising faster than ever. The younger generation is becoming stronger with every passing day."
He looked toward the distant battlefield once more.
"Your opportunities are greater than those of the previous generation."
"But so are the expectations."
The young man lowered his head.
He understood.
At least, he understood enough.
Abil placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Work harder."
The young man nodded reluctantly.
Abil’s gaze returned to the sky.
The battle continued.
The heavens trembled beneath the clash of power.
Even from this distance, the pressure was enough to make ordinary cultivators feel suffocated.
Abil watched silently for a few breaths.
Then he spoke one final sentence.
"Otherwise..."
His eyes narrowed slightly.
"You won’t even qualify to be a witness."
The youth puffed out his cheeks.
He knew exactly how this worked.
Every father was the same.
Everyone else was watching an incredible battle.
He was getting another lecture.
His attention reluctantly returned to the sky.
Then a small voice suddenly came from his arms.
"That Norman brother is going to lose..."
The young man froze.
He lowered his head.
His little brother was looking toward the distant battlefield with an oddly calm expression.
"What?"
The youth stared at him.
"How is that possible!"
He was a die-hard Norman fan.
His immediate instinct was to defend his idol.
He opened his mouth, already preparing to list Norman’s terrifying achievements.
But before he could say a word—
The two figures in the sky separated.
The entire battlefield seemed to pause.
Neither side had gained an advantage.
Both stood at opposite ends of the heavens, their clothes fluttering in the violent wind.
Everyone understood.
There was only one exchange left.
One final attack.
Norman looked at Leandro.
Leandro looked back.
Neither spoke.
They didn’t need to.
Their eyes met, and both understood the other’s intention.
Norman stepped forward.
"God dies..."
The divine phantom behind him began to fade.
It did not disappear through destruction.
Instead, its immense body dissolved into countless strands of profound Great Laws of World.
Those strands flowed toward Norman and merged into his body.
The divine aura vanished completely.
Then Norman spoke again.
"Demon extinguishes..."
The demonic phantom behind him slowly collapsed.
Darkness gathered.
Then it entered his body as well.
In the next instant, all phenomena vanished.
Norman stood there without any spectacular aura.
No dragon.
No demon.
No divine radiance.
He looked almost ordinary.
That ordinary appearance, however, caused Leandro’s instincts to scream.
A dangerous sensation rose from the depths of his soul.
Fatal.
Something about Norman had changed.
The overwhelming power that had previously been displayed outside his body was now completely condensed within him.
Nothing had been lost.
Everything had become part of himself.
Leandro’s fingers tightened around his hand seal.
"God dies, demon extinguishes—I alone reign supreme!!"
Norman took another step.
BOOM!
The heavens shook.
At that instant, the distinction between divine and demonic seemed to disappear.
Norman had become the embodiment of both.
A true god and demon united as one.
He raised his fist.
Nothing about the movement appeared complicated.
It was merely a punch.
Yet when that fist descended, space shattered around it.
Cracks spread through the void like broken glass.
The Great Laws of World themselves seemed unable to withstand the pressure.
Leandro’s expression finally became solemn.
Facing such an attack, he had no intention of holding anything back.
He formed another hand seal.
His green eyes became deep and mysterious.
Then—
The sky changed.
Thousands of formations appeared around him at once.
They filled every direction.
Above him.
Below him.
Behind him.
In front of him.
All around.
Countless arcane patterns overlapped, forming an enormous network of killing formations.
Millions of divine patterns illuminated the heavens.
Every single pattern contained terrifying killing power.
But that was still not the most shocking part.
Behind Leandro, another figure slowly appeared.
It looked exactly like him.
Same appearance.
Same cultivation.
Same expression.
Then another appeared.
And another.
Then another.
