Chapter 92: Chapter 75: Powerful Heroine, Cornered Gideon

Filled with anticipation, Shen Xing opened Reina’s attribute panel, and her complete skill information appeared before his eyes.

[Flame Aura (Aura exclusive to Heroic Reina Yanet)]

[Effect: Within a 1000-meter radius, all allied units (including buildings) have their Fire Attribute Resistance increased by 20%, their Fire Attribute Damage increased by 20%, and their Fire Attribute Skill Cooldown Time reduced by 20%.]

(Note: This aura’s range and power will increase as the Hero’s Level increases.)

...

[Flame Domain (Domain exclusive to Heroic Reina Yanet)]

[Effect: Unleash the Flame Power within to transform a 500-meter radius into a sea of flames, dealing continuous Scorching damage to all enemies.

All allied units (including the Hero herself) inside the sea of flames have their Flame Attribute Damage increased by 100%, their Skill range increased by 100%, and their Skill Cooldown Time reduced by 50%!

Duration: 30 seconds. Cooldown: 48 hours]

(Note: This Domain’s effective range and power will increase as the Hero’s strength increases.)

...

[Great Calamity (Sealed State)]

...

"Holy crap, are these skills for real!? They’re completely insane!"

Shen Xing’s eyes widened.

’Although I knew these exclusive Hero Skills were all powerful and could even turn the tide of battle...’

’Isn’t this a little too overpowered!?’

’A single Heroic Aura could drastically increase the damage output of all Fire Attribute units in the territory.’

’On top of that, the Flame Domain could boost damage and effective range by another 100%. It was like giving a megaphone to an old lady screaming insults on the street—full-on firepower!’

Shen Xing could even imagine how terrifyingly powerful the Inferior Demons’ Hellfire Balls would become once this woman activated her Domain and Aura.

With a woman like her around, he could even start training Inferior Demons as his main Soldier Type.

’What was that idiot Gideon thinking? Instead of training this Heroic Unit, he went off and trained those trashy Werewolves.’

’If he had raised Reina to Tier Two Extraordinary before the battle...’

’...then even if I had won, it probably wouldn’t have been so easy. I might have even suffered heavy casualties.’

’After all, Fire Mages are known for their destructive power.’

’Let alone a Heroic Unit like her; a single Large Fireball could wipe out a whole swathe of common soldiers.’

’I can’t believe it. A Hero this incredible just fell right into my hands.’

’I can’t let her get away!’

Like a hungry wolf that had spotted its prey, Shen Xing stared intently at the Female Fire Mage on the ground.

The red-haired woman noticed his blatant, almost predatory stare. A flash of discomfort crossed her eyes, and she slowly lowered her head.

*Cough, cough...*

Shen Xing cleared his throat, realizing his stare had been a bit too intimidating.

’But let’s be clear, I’m only after your power, not your body.’

’I’ve lived a virtuous life. How could I possibly develop feelings for a character in my territory?’

’Then again, this woman really is exceptional, practically perfect from head to toe.’

’Plus, she has this subtle air of nobility about her, like a fire lotus growing in the heart of magma, exuding a scorching and dangerous aura.’

Shaking off his thoughts, Shen Xing ordered, "Untie them, then give each person two hundred milliliters of Moon Spring Water."

Once they joined the territory, he wouldn’t have to worry about these Soldier Types betraying their Lord; otherwise, they would face retribution from a mysterious power.

Hellish Roar stepped forward and untied the ropes on each of the captives.

Then, following Shen Xing’s order, he gave each of them a small cup of Moon Spring Water.

The cool liquid flowed down their throats, and a pure Life Force rose from their stomachs, spreading rapidly through their entire bodies.

The sword and axe wounds on the Werewolves quickly stopped bleeding and began to scab over.

Even the wound on the Hero Reina, inflicted by Hei, was now slowly healing.

They exchanged glances, seeing the surprise in each other’s eyes.

After all, they were captives who had just attacked this very territory.

Any other Lord would surely have punished them severely to make an example of them, then sent them to the battlefield as cannon fodder.

They never expected this Lord to not only refrain from mistreating them but to even give them such precious spring water.

’Maybe this new master of ours... isn’t so bad?’

"Alright, that’s enough. Everyone, return to your posts."

Shen Xing was unaware of their complex inner thoughts, and even if he had been, he wouldn’t have cared. He had more important things to do.

He looked at the Female Fire Mage standing quietly to the side and said in a calm but indisputable tone, "Reina, take me to Gideon’s territory."

’That guy developed in this area for so long and attacked so many other Lords. There must be a lot of good stuff left in his territory.’

’Now that he’s dead, it’s only natural that I take it all for myself.’

The Female Fire Mage trembled slightly, as if she hadn’t yet adjusted to her change in status.

But she didn’t refuse. After a moment of silence, she gave a slight nod.

Then, Shen Xing led a group of thirteen Beastmen, including Hellish Roar.

Along with Xia Wanyin’s squad of Light Elves, they all headed deep into the Fog.

...

...

「Meanwhile.」

In Europe, inside a detached villa in a suburban area.

A brown-haired man shot up in bed, drenched in a cold sweat, his face as pale as a sheet of paper.

Beside him lay two naked, voluptuous beauties.

"Damn it! Damn it!"

Gideon clutched his head, his fingers digging into his hair as he descended into a state of frenzy.

"Darling, what’s wrong?"

Startled awake by his actions, the two women cautiously moved closer to ask.

A hand with bright red fingernails had just touched his shoulder when he violently shoved it away.

"Get out! Both of you, get out!"

Gideon roared in fury, his voice hysterical.

The two women’s expressions changed instantly, the seductive looks on their faces vanishing.

"Who do you think you’re yelling at? We humor you for a minute and you really think you’re someone important, don’t you?" one of the women, a blonde, snapped, holding out her hand. "Give us the money, or don’t even think about kicking us out!"

Gideon said nothing, merely turning his head to stare at her with bloodshot eyes.

The two women suddenly felt a chill run down their spines, as if targeted by a man-eating viper.

As professional prostitutes, they had serviced many clients, including some with extremely depraved fetishes.

They had even once had a peculiar client who made them role-play alongside a pile of prop corpses.

A few days later, news broke that the corpses had been real and the man was a serial killer.

The memory of that incident filled them with lingering fear even to this day.

And now, in Gideon’s eyes, they saw the same look as that depraved serial killer.

A violent shudder ran through both of them.

They scrambled out of bed and fled, stark naked, without even stopping for their clothes.

After the two women left, Gideon took several deep breaths, forcing himself to calm down.

He opened his phone, logged into a private messaging app, and sent a message to a group chat: "Is anyone interested in helping me kill someone in the game?"

As soon as the message was sent, replies flooded the group chat.

Some asked what happened; others asked who the target was.

Gideon didn’t reply, instead typing, "I have two million US Dollars in another account that I’ve already transferred to this site, plus a property in Philadelphia."

"The target is located on the border of the Videng Kingdom, near the Black Wing Plain. He’s disabled, in a wheelchair."

"Whoever kills him gets it all."

After sending the messages, Gideon turned off his phone without looking at the chat again.

He was confident that, given the nature of this group of desperados, someone would definitely take the bounty.

Once he’d done all that, Gideon got dressed, slung a shoulder bag on, and walked out the door.

He found the nearest school on a map and took a taxi.

An hour later, Gideon was standing on the street, his eyes fixed coldly on the school gate.

It was the end of the school day, and children with backpacks were streaming out of the gates.

He suddenly felt a chill on his neck as wisps of mist began to seep out from it. Realizing his time was almost up, he started walking toward the school gate.

The security guards noticed him and stepped forward vigilantly, shouting, "STOP! Don’t come any closer!"

Gideon ignored them, a morbid smile gradually spreading across his face.

"If you want someone to blame, blame that guy from Hua Country... Now, all of you can go to hell with me!"

He burst into a maniacal laugh as a thick gray fog poured from the cracks in his neck, engulfing half the street in the blink of an eye.

Everyone touched by the fog collapsed to the ground. Within seconds, the bustling school entrance fell deathly silent.

Gideon licked his lips and spread his arms, as if quietly waiting for something.

Just then, from among the fallen children, a small figure rose to its feet.

She wore a white dress, and her white hair cascaded over her shoulders. In her arms, she clutched a worn-out rabbit doll.

Her hollow eyes stared directly at Gideon, completely devoid of emotion.

"You’re... you’re..." Gideon sensed something, his body trembling violently, his eyes wide with disbelief.

The next second, the little white-haired girl extended her right hand and slowly clenched her fingers into a fist.

CRACK! CRUNCH!

His body seemed to be seized by a giant, invisible hand. Starting from his limbs, he began to collapse inward, his bones emitting a sickening crunching sound as they shattered.

"You’re... a monster..."

Gideon only managed to utter those last words before his body was crushed into a mangled pulp of flesh and blood and then exploded with a BANG.

...

...

「Meanwhile, in an underground bar in some small town.」

A group of strangely dressed men and women with dangerous auras were gathered at the bar counter.

"Did you see the message? Gideon put out a bounty on some kid who’s not even Extraordinary Level," a man with short brown hair and a lip piercing said in a low voice.

"Heh, the guy probably got himself killed in the game."

Another person, a woman with blue eyes and exotic makeup, chuckled. "To think he’d actually fall to a player who isn’t even Extraordinary Level. That’s rather interesting."

"That guy was always preying on Novice Lords. I warned him to stop, but he wouldn’t listen," a heavyset man sneered. "Well, look where it got him."

Nearby, an androgynous-looking woman toyed with a pair of daggers. "So, is anyone taking this bounty? The reward looks pretty generous."

The bar fell silent for a moment as everyone clearly weighed the risks.

"I’ll give it a try. My territory isn’t far from the Black Wing Plain anyway," said the woman with the blue eyes.

"Be careful. The fact that they could take out Gideon means they have at least one Extraordinary Level Soldier Type. Don’t let your guard down and mess it up."

"Don’t worry, I’m not an idiot like him," the blue-eyed woman chuckled softly.

"True. You’ve taken on so many bounties and have yet to fail. With your strength, even an Extraordinary Level opponent isn’t much of a threat."

"Demon Sword, remember to buy us drinks after you succeed."

"That’s right! We’re going to the best bar in the city!"

They chatted cheerfully, seemingly not at all worried that she might fail.

After all, the one who took this mission was Demon Sword—the professional killer with a success rate of over ninety percent.
