Chapter 970 - 506: The Bedroom Became a Mourning Hall (Part 3)

Julian Carter was stunned on the spot, he looked at Joshua Hughes with disbelief. This type of thing was not something to joke about, but who has the skills for this? That apartment is the most expensive in the entire city. Besides all the various facilities and the beautiful exterior of the complex, security is its major selling point. This city is full of hidden talents, so such an apartment sells well and has never had any issues. Even master thieves can’t get past the gates of the community. You need to swipe a card to take the elevator, and the entrance requires a card and a password to enter. How is it possible? How can someone get into his house?

"What was stolen?" Julian Carter pondered, this matter was truly strange.

"After someone broke in, they turned my bedroom into a funeral hall." Joshua Hughes had a look of rage in his eyes, like a beast about to break free, his chest filled with an intense desire to dismember the intruder.

"Julian, find that person for me and send him to meet his maker, immediately..." Joshua Hughes almost gritted through his teeth, each word squeezing out from his tense lips, his face a terrifying shade of anger.

"What if it was someone from the Hughes Family?" Julian Carter looked at Joshua Hughes. If it was someone from the Hughes Family, they really touched his bottom line this time.

"Leave them for me to handle personally." The man sitting there spoke harshly, his eyes revealing a violent glint, bloodthirsty and harsh. If it’s someone from the Hughes Family, then they’ll meet a more tragic end.

"Gaining access to that house isn’t easy. One is Madam Hughes, the other is Alexander. Besides these two, who else?" Julian Carter mentally eliminated these two from suspicion. The first one is his mother, and despite not being together for years, such blood ties are hard to sever. The second one is even less likely, as they are brothers through thick and thin.

"There are cameras in the elevator." Because he hated the feeling of being watched, the entire building had cameras except his floor. He never thought someone would dare make a move against him; they must be borrowing courage from the heavens.

"I’ll head to your place first; anyone able to get in there definitely isn’t simple." Julian Carter stood up. Joshua Hughes magically produced a card in his hand. As it traced a graceful arc, Julian Carter caught it steadily, then turned and left. Tonight was destined to be a sleepless night.

"Let Alexander head over too, see what kind of trouble he’s caused me." Joshua Hughes coldly added. That guy Alexander was really asking for it. He doesn’t know what his wife whispered to Avery Jane, but living in the complex he developed, in this alleged most impregnable fortress of the city, such a shocking and terrifying incident happened. Let’s see how he’ll explain it to him.

"Come over, something happened." Julian Carter expertly drove the car, speaking coldly into the earpiece. Since the incident happened on his turf, he had to make the trip. After all, checking some information would be faster.

The person was woken up from sleep. Alexander King quickly opened his eyes. Knowing Julian Carter, who jokes even less than Joshua Hughes, it had to be something important. Could it have been something happened to Joshua? The mere thought made him shiver. No way, right? He drove his car like a rocket, rushing to the complex.

Joshua Hughes lived on the top floor, and Alexander King also had a room card. By the time he entered, Julian Carter was already there.

The lights of the entire house were on, shining brightly, leaving not a single shadow in the space. But even such lighting couldn’t hide the scent of conspiracy fermenting in the unseen dark corners.

Julian Carter looked at the bedroom. It indeed seemed somewhat glaring. That photo was thrown on the carpet, the white chrysanthemums and blue ribbons particularly striking, as if singing a mournful dirge with a touch of eeriness.

"Julian, what’s going on..." Alexander King walked into the bedroom, stunned by the scene. Before he could finish his sentence, it got stuck in his throat, like a bone.

Something indeed happened. An incident like this happening to Joshua Hughes meant he would kill.

And this complex was managed by a company under him; an incident like this happening made him liable too. Why did it have to happen now?

The issue with Nora Thompson hadn’t been resolved, and now there was this mess. It was really driving him crazy. Who the hell did this?
