Chapter 210: Her judgement

The truth was out. There was nothing needed from Hye Yang anymore and Hye Yang understood it. With several broken bones on her hand and so many beast people from different tribes with the urge to rip her apart, she knew that her end was near.

But she did not want to go away so pitifully. She did not want the last thing to be heard of her be the way she was tortured and cried her way to death. That was the last thing she wanted. In a world where she used all her might to get what she wanted. . . And actually came so close to achieving it. . . She could not have any more regrets.

She tried. She might have failed, but she tried all her best and that was all that mattered to Hye Yang.

Hye Yang raised her unbroken hand to meet with her other arm and clenched her fingers on her shoulder. Pain shot through out her entire hand but she tried not to voice out the agony.

She managed to stand up, her legs were so close to giving away but this was far from the worst thing to happen to her today so she ignored the throbbing of her body and stood.

"What now?" Hye Yang asked. "You have discovered everything I did, what now?" Her voice was low and sounded unimpressed like it carried the weight of her condition and situation.

"You will take us to the cubs!" Mira spoke before anyone could. "You will lead us to the one you had that evil deal with and we will rescue every single one you sold into that evil tribe!!" Mira stated. She sounded angry. She was. Those poor beast people had been given to a life of suffering against their own will and they did not deserve that. Hye Yang let her greed steal away the good years of innocent people. Of so many innocent people.

"You cannot get them back." Hye Yang whispered.

"EXCUSE ME?!!" Mira yelled.

"I tried. You can’t. They’re bound to that fate forever." Hye Yang said in a low breath. She actually sounded. . . . guilty. . . . and a flicker of sadness shown across her face for a short while.

"We will wage a war if we have to. Those beasts from the other side crossed a boundary that they never should have and they will pay in full for it." Mira stated through clenched teeth. "No matter what, we WILL save the people whose lives you ruined for your own selfish gain!"

"SELFISH?! You call my act selfish?!" Hye Yang raised her voice. Jia Hao’s body shifted forward on impulse but Mira gave him a stern look not to make a move and this made him calm down. "You have never lived like I did, so how would you even understand what selfish means?!" Hye Yang blurted out. For the first time throughout this dreadfully long mist reveal, she sounded like she was speaking from her heart

Mira got up from the seat. She told the maidens and the elder lady to stay where they were with a hand gesture and looked at Ming Tao to stay still too. Now, she walked towards Hye Yang in careful, gentle steps.

Hye Yang just stood there and watched Mira advance towards her, curious of what Mira wanted to do. When Mira stood in front of Hye Yang, she stopped walking. Her hand raised high up in the air and she swung it forward, right to Hye Yang’s face. This caused Hye Yang’s feeble body to stumble to the side. Mira raised up her other hand and shot a resounding slap across Hye Yang’s other cheek.

Hye Yang grunted as her body pushed in the opposite direction. She could barely maintain her stamina on the ground before another hand met with her face from the other side. This pushed her to the ground and before her body hit the floor, she felt another hand meet her face.

Four resounding slaps across both of her cheeks in an instant, all done by her sister. Jia Hao’s eyes widened and Ming Tao just stood behind Mira in the same spot, perplexed and ready to get in if anything happened that was not favourable to his wife in any moment.

"You talk about never lived the life that you did?" Mira said. Her voice was breaking and tears streamed down her face. Watching the mist reveal was like a dive into her own memories and since she was synced with the original Mira, the emotions poured out like this had happened to her instead of the old owner of this body. "YOU STOLE MY LIFE FROM ME EVER SINCE I WAS A CHILD. AND I AM IN MY FUCKING TWENTIES!!" Mira yelled. She turned her head to the side, filled her mouth with saliva and spat. "Somebody hold that woman up, immediately!" Mira ordered.

Just then, two cheetah warriors walked up to Hye Yang and pulled her up roughly. Hye Yang shrieked. The cheetah warriors did not care about her sores nor broken bones as they lifted her up so she was very much in pain.

Mira shot another slap on Hye Yang’s face. She noticed her fingers had made a reddish, swollen imprint on Hye Yang’s cheeks but this did not make Mira not hit Hye Yang’s other cheek. The more she saw that swell, the more she knew Hye Yang deserved this and more. So she slapped her again. And again. And again. And again. Till a scream tore out of Hye Yang’s lips as well as a tears from her eyes. Blood spilled out of Hye Yang’s mouth at the last slap onto Mira’s left chest and this made Mira nearly puke.

Ming Tao Immediately walked to Mira’s side and wiped the blood away from her chest with his hand before stepping back.

"You talk like you were a victim in all of this, but when did it ever occur to you that IF SO MANY PEOPLE HAD TO BE SACRIFICED THEN THE DESTINY YOU FOUGHT SO HARD TO HAVE WAS NEVER YOURS TO BEGIN WITH??!" Mira outraged.

She raised her hand up again and shot Hye Yang another slap.

This made the cheetah warriors holding Hye Yang flinch. They had never seen the wife of the mighty cheetah react this way before and it sent them chills.

"Did you ever stop to think that YOU COULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY AND NEVER HAD TO SUFFER IF YOU HAD LET GO OF YOUR JEALOUSY?! DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY BEAST MEN WANTED YOU TO BE THE MOTHER OF THIER CHILDREN?!!! SO MANY MEN WITH STATUSES TOO??!! YOU COULD HAVE LIVED LIKE A FREAKING QUEEN, DAMMIT!!" Mira yelled and with this, she shot Hye Yang another slap.

Mira felt the weight of her hits on Hye Yang on her palm. Her palm began to redden and swell too but she tried to ignore it.

"WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO LET SO MANY PEOPLE SUFFER WHEN WE COULD ALL HAVE BEEN HAPPY?! WHY DID YOUR GREED MAKE YOU MAKE SO MANY STUPID DECISIONS??!" Mira raised her hand up again. Hye Yang flinched and turned her head to the side when she knew a hit was coming but nothing happened. Jia Hao had stepped in front of Mira and stopped her from doing what she wanted to do.

"Don’t hurt your pretty fingers on something like this. This thing does not deserve to be touched by you." He said to Mira. Then he pulled Mira to himself for a hug. He saw the tears that ran down her cheeks and did not want to let everyone else watch his wife cry. Jia Hao let his hand run down Mira’s back and patted her constantly while whispering words to her. "Please don’t cry." He said to Mira warmly. "Not yet. I’ll be here when you want to cry, but don’t do it yet." He said and wiped his thumb across her face. Jia Hao was saying this for mira’s sake, he did not want her to look back on this day and hate herself, he knew there that much.

Mira sniffed on his chest and swallowed. The old owner of this body went through so much for absolutely no reason. She just had a foolish little sister that she trusted so blindly and she had a good heart and now she was dead and could not even get the apology and love that she deserved because she did not exist and all of the memories crashed onto current Mira in bits so it hurt her so much.

She too had suffered where she arrived her because of Hye Yang and she did not deserve that at all. "You’re right." Mira said to Jia Hao. "Not here." She sniffed, gathering her courage. She pulled her body away from Jia Hao and faced Hye Yang.

"You do not deserve any easy punishment. You need to suffer for all the years you made everyone else around you suffer." Mira said flatly to Hye Yang. She walked away from her sister back to Ming Tao. "Finish what you started." Mira said to Ming Tao.

Ming Tao cleared his throat. "Bring in the other important guests."
