Chapter 2064: They Compete For Her Attention

Blank happily continued explaining to Elayne more about the new method he wanted to teach her. "This method does indeed only work on my race, but if you cultivate it while shifting into that starlight form again, not only will you master it and understand it completely... once you reach grand perfection, a new method could be born, or even a perfect combination of both the skill and the cultivation techniques. What’s more, there’s another possibility. You could completely change, reinforce, or evolve how your base body works, permanently fusing that starlight form into yourself."

"T-That’s actually possible?!" Elayne asked in pure disbelief. "Y-You really think so, Blank?!"

"Yes!" he nodded with firm confidence. "It might be the quickest path to greater power for you right now. Imagine the strength you could hold if you managed to keep those forms and that power permanently within your body. I believe it’s part of the core principles of cultivation to internalize what one can only grasp temporarily. That is the very foundation of ’cultivating oneself’!"

"Ooohhh!" Elayne clapped her hands together in excitement. "Blank, you’re so smart!"

"Hmph!" he smiled proudly. "Naturally. I’ve lived for a very long time. But please don’t diminish your own intelligence. I am certain that once you live as long as I have, you will become even smarter than me."

"Aw, you’re so sweet!" Elayne chuckled cutely, the sound making Blank’s heart flutter in a way no woman had ever managed before.

"Now I wonder, can you channel that power right at this moment?" he asked curiously.

"Hmm, that’s the hard part. I don’t think I can do it easily. Back then, in the heat of the moment, I managed it quickly," she admitted. "But right now things have settled down. I need to first perform an incantation, then wait for the proper zodiac alignment, then carefully channel the power into my body... I think I need to go outside first."

"I see. A pity. We will work on that tomorrow then, I suppose," he said with mild disappointment. "For now, how about you read through the small scripture and—"

"Heeeeey!"

Suddenly someone interrupted their quiet conversation as Sailor came running toward them at full speed.

"WHAT?!" Blank asked angrily, his expression darkening. "Don’t you see I am having an important personal moment with her?!"

"Eek! Calm down, champ. She’s not going anywhere," Sailor laughed without fear. "We found people!"

"What?!" Everyone present was shocked after hearing those words.

Elayne immediately ran toward Sailor. "Sailor! I-Is that true? You’re not joking, right?!" She grabbed him by his clothes in excitement, her large chest bouncing right in front of him.

"A-Ahaha, of course I’m not lying, ma’am," he answered, feeling clearly embarrassed by how close she stood. "Please follow me, madam. I will lead you to them as your heroic swashbuckler." He playfully grabbed her by the hips and pulled her closer, throwing a teasing smile in Blank’s direction.

"Hahah!" Elayne chuckled along with him, even lifting one leg as if she were dancing. "Enough with your jokes!" she said while patting his head. "But I am so happy! How many of them are there? Wait, where’s everyone else?"

"They stayed behind with the group. There’s a big number of them! Around... I don’t know, maybe a hundred?" he answered.

"A-A hundred?!" Mark and Blank asked at the exact same time, both shocked into disbelief.

Sailor nodded confidently. "Yep, so we better get going. Come on, follow me! As for the madam, I shall give her a lift!"

"Woah! Hahaha!" Elayne laughed youthfully, sounding almost like a young girl again, as Sailor suddenly scooped her up like a princess and began riding across the waves of his ocean magic, leaving Mark and Blank behind.

"H-Hey! Who do you think you’re carrying like that?!" Blank shouted angrily.

"That’s my wife, you damn son of a...!" Mark charged after them without hesitation.

Both men looked at one another for a brief second and silently decided to form a temporary truce, joining forces to chase after the bastard buccaneer who had just stolen their beloved.

Sailor had spoken before about old loves and past adventures, so neither of them had expected him to start teasing them so openly and flirting with Elayne right in front of them.

However, Elayne was far too innocent and pure-hearted to fully understand or realize what was happening with that man.

SPLAAASH!

They arrived in a flash, landing in a large open area.

"Here we go," Sailor said as he gently let her step down onto the ground.

"Let’s go, Sailor!" Elayne was overflowing with happiness. She grabbed his hand and rushed toward the small group of survivors waiting ahead.

"Woah there! Calm down, Lady Elayne," he laughed. "Oh? Looks like the losers finally caught up."

"Sailor!" Mark roared as he grabbed the pirate tightly by the nape of his neck. "What the hell was that just now?!"

"H-Hahaha, c-calm down, Mark. I was just joking, okay?" Sailor laughed nervously while raising both hands in surrender.

"A joke?!" Mark revealed his blazing skull face in pure anger, leaving Sailor visibly shocked and afraid.

In response Sailor activated his own water-based magic and transformation, his hair turning into flowing waves of the sea. "Who are you treating like this, captain? I respect you because you’re a kind leader, but aren’t you overstepping your boundaries a little?"

"You’re a damn punk..." Blank roared as he yanked Sailor away from Mark. "Should I feed you to the sharks myself, you bastard?"

"H-Hey...! Wait a second...! Relax!" In that moment Sailor became completely terrified. Blank was clearly out of his league. "E-Elayne!"

"Hey, what’s going on here?!" Elayne asked angrily, crossing her arms as she watched the three men fighting over nothing important. "We found survivors! Let’s go see them right now!"

The three men immediately calmed down and pretended that nothing had happened at all, deciding to follow Elayne where she had found the survivors she just told them about.
