[Due to a processing error, your Class Change had been temporarily halted and the data collected was temporarily corrupted.]
[The corrupted data has been successfully recovered, but a large quantity was damaged, leading to a solution by mixing fragments together.]
[The Corrupted, Cleansed, and Recovered Data of the [Circle of Twilight], [Circle of Dreams], and [Circle of Spores] has been converged to create the [Circle of Mycelial Twilight].]
Elayne’s eyes widened as the words etched themselves into her mind, glowing across the System Window.
[Congratulations! You have unlocked a Unique Class: [Nether Spirit Druid: Circle of Mycelial Twilight – Tier 2]]
[Your Nature Soul has been permanently altered. You now wield the fragmented, distorted, and combined powers of the Circle of Dreams, Circle of Twilight, and Circle of Spores.]
[Warning: This Class was not intended to exist. Unknown consequences such as errors or bugs may occur.]
“Huh?!”
Elayne’s Spiritual Heart pulsed violently. She felt something forming within, a circle, a ring forged from three fractured circles forced together. The new ring spun and wove threads of light and shadow, dreamlike mist, and fungal spores into a strange harmony. It was half divine, half alien.
“U-Ugh…!” Elayne staggered, clutching her chest as her veins glowed with twilight silver. Her hair shimmered with faint motes of dark purple dreamlight, and her skin sprouted tiny glowing spores that quickly dissolved into mist.
The Bone Monsters, once immobilized, began to shriek as the spores invaded deeper, twisting their forms. Instead of breaking free, they collapsed into piles of ash and bone dust, consumed by fungal roots that glowed with twilight.
Elayne raised her sword instinctively. The blade itself changed, its edge sprouted faint luminous mushrooms along the hilt, its aura shifting between radiant twilight and dreamlike haze. She noticed Asteria resonating with her new power, growing stronger alongside her.
“This… this power… it’s overwhelming!” she gasped, her voice trembling between awe and fear.
The System chimed again:
[New Skills Acquired!]
[Twilight Bloom – Tier 1: Level 1/10]: [Summon spores that drain vitality and convert it into dream essence. Super effective against Undead-type foes, increasing damage dealt by up to 300%. Once the spores explode, they generate Twilight Flames, burning foes.]
[Dreamveil – Tier 1: Level 1/10]: [Cloak allies in illusions, shielding them from harm and confusing enemies. Requires Dream Essence. With enough expertise, the Dreamveil can be shaped into countless forms.]
[Mycelial Dominion – Tier 1: Level 1/10]: [Spread fungal roots across terrain, corrupting enemies and empowering allies. Corpses that are infected will rapidly become your Living Colonies of Mushrooms, The Sporeborn, who will obey you unconditionally and grow on their own. Limit: 0/?. Empowered allies will receive boosts to their cognitive abilities and a rush of adrenaline; while becoming more agile and stronger for a short period of time, overuse might cause negative side effects.]
“I got three Skills at once?!” Elayne gasped, realizing her little mistake had truly happened and it wasn’t a dream.
Suddenly the monastery shook as a massive roar echoed from outside. A colossal skeletal knight clad in black armor and wielding a rusted Greatsword smashed through the barricades. Its hollow eyes burned with crimson fire. Its body appeared to be made entirely from the Bone Monsters.
“Target located,” the knight growled, its voice grinding like stone. “The Demon King of Death demands your soul, Traitor.”
Elayne’s heart raced. “So you already know it’s me…!”
She clenched her sword, her newfound aura surging. “Fine. This only makes it easier…”
The skeletal knight raised its blade. The monastery walls shattered. It charged toward Elayne, who swiftly dodged, suddenly feeling much faster than before.
“Right, my stats must have increased…! By how much though?” she wondered, feeling incredibly light as she dropped from the air directly onto the knight’s arm.
“Perish, Traitor!” the skeletal knight roared, swinging its hand toward her.
Elayne swiftly swung Asteria, infusing the blade with her new power as ghostly dark purple fungi grew along its edge.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
Three powerful slashes carved through the giant skeleton knight’s arm. It groaned in agony as its very soul suffered damage. Elayne leaped away before it could bite her apart, her energies coursing through her body like never before.
“What is this?”
As she landed safely, she felt the energies pulsating. Spores grew across her body, forming veins of mycelium, while liquid nether merged with sap and spore particles, creating a blood flow that began warming her body as though she were alive.
The colony of plants and mushrooms inside her harmonized with this process, producing even more Spiritual Energy for her to absorb. Her Spiritual Heart beat like a living, real heart, drawing in the flow of energy.
“Life Essence, Death Essence, Nether, Spirit Energy… all of these energies are flowing as one, in complete harmony?!”
Elayne was stunned by her sudden growth, especially as her body began to transform the moment she channeled this power upon herself. She grew thirty centimeters taller. Her long white hair gained black tips. A pair of black wood horns sprouted, blooming with poisonous-looking fungi.
Fungal scales grew along her arms and legs. Her clothes changed, becoming a dress woven from fungus and dreamlight, making her look truly like a Druid. She felt a pang of regret for the dress and heels Chalk had given her, they were destroyed now.
“T-This new form…!” she gasped. “I haven’t evolved but… it felt like I did…!”
“TRAITOR…! PERISH ALREADY!”
The giant skeleton knight swung its massive sword at Elayne. She swiftly avoided the blow, rolling away from danger before leaping into the air once more. Long mycelium vines extended from her hands, wrapping around its body and pulling her closer.
“Twilight Bloom!”
Her hands pierced the skeleton’s eyes. The giant groaned in pain as countless spores and mushrooms spread throughout its body, then detonated in explosions of darkness and light.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
“KUAAAAAGH!”
Elayne jumped away as the giant skeleton knight fell to its knees. It tried desperately to tear out the spores growing inside it, until it ultimately collapsed, its bones slowly reduced to dust. Elayne felt Dream Essence flowing toward her Spiritual Heart and Soul.
“Huh? It’s over already?” she murmured, surprised at how little effort it took. “So strong…! With this I can do something… I can change something!”
Elayne rushed outside and found her friends battling the Bone Monsters. She hurried toward them, spreading clouds of yellow and black spores that enveloped the Undead and detonated in countless small explosions.
“Elayne?!” Mark gasped. “Y-You changed! Wow…!”
“I got my class!” Elayne called out. “Go and get yours! Hurry! I’ll take care of them!”
Realizing Elayne had gained immense power, they didn’t hesitate. They nodded and rushed toward the Class Changing Building.
Atrokus, who had been watching everything unfolding, felt deep concern rising within him.
“She Ranked Up her Class and yet gained such immense power?! What sort of Class did she even get? It’s utterly bizarre…!”
As he raged, Elayne began massacring his Bone Monsters. She spread her spores further, forcing many to turn against their former allies. Fungal colonies embedded into their bodies enslaved them, compelling them to tear apart the others.
“She’s stealing my undead?!”
Atrokus roared in fury. He began conjuring even more power into his summoned bone monsters while simultaneously digging underground, vanishing from sight.
“Well, so be it! I’ll reach the city from below, kill her, and take over the capital on my own while all of you fools waste your time fighting those nobles…!”
The giant Chimera Skeleton laughed as he burrowed deeper, crossing beneath the city walls and drawing steadily closer to Elayne.
