Bloodbound To My Four Archenemies.

Chapter 59: What she deserves.

June 29 2026, 10:51am.

For a long moment, Nyx’ara stood with her body pressed against Draven’s. She was hyper-aware of the flares of electricity running between their touching flesh and the way his fingers flexed against her buttocks.

Her skin seared with heat which burned through her clothes and her face turned a deep red when for a very split second, it seemed as though she was teleported back to the moment she was sitting atop his desk with her back arched towards him.

Stop thinking about that. Stop torturing yourself!

Uncle Micah glared at both of them, his bottom lip curling into a snarl so scary, it made Nyx’ara shudder. He turned to Kieran and Rhys, as if half expecting that they would disagree with Draven, but to his utmost horror, they didn’t.

If anything, they seemed like they were on alert, waiting to ambush him at any chance they got.

His eyes thinned and his snarl deepened. He hissed through gritted teeth; "You’ll regret this."

"You will also regret insulting our wife right in front of us." Azriel snapped back, his eyes never straying from Draven’s fingers gripping hard at Nyx’ara’s butts until his knuckles turned white.

For some reason, he liked watching the chemistry between the two. He liked how easily his brother was cozying up with the enemy.

The enemy...

Their sister’s murderer.

The thought made a rush of anger slam right into his ribs, but pushing it out, he lifted his eyes from Nyx’ara’s butt and turned to his uncle.

"You came at her for no reason."

"Yes, because you invited her to something private!"

"As I said earlier, she isn’t here just as our wife. She’s our PA too, so you either deal with it or get out!" Azriel snapped, but before Uncle Micah could respond, Draven beat him to it.

He snarled; "He should leave now. He was obviously disrespectful and because of him, Nyx’ara is too shaken to continue with the meeting."

But since when do we care about how Nyx’ara feels? Since when do we care if she is shaken or not?

Uncle Micah cast one last glance at him then stormed out of the room, promising ruin, and shortly after he walked out, his son, Damien, who had been quiet the entire time, walked out too.

It wasn’t until the ’intruders’ were gone that Draven finally let go of Nyx’ara. He stepped away from her as if her skin burned, his expression closing off like he had shown too many feelings in the past few minutes than he was supposed to, and returned to his chair.

When his eyes met hers a few moments later, he was back to being cold and expressionless. He frowned deeply at her then at Azriel and hissed; "What is this about?"

Azriel, who couldn’t understand his brother’s sudden shift, cocked his eyebrows at him. He snapped; "What?"

"Why is the little murderer our new PA? Why did you decide that without consulting with me first?"

"We agreed to make her our temporary PA..." Azriel started to say but was interrupted when Draven waved him off.

"We agreed to it once... for the wedding and the guests, the businessmen we wanted to meet decided not to show up. Moreover, we later landed the deal without having to meet with them so this is irrelevant."

"Draven—"

"First off, you know she knows absolutely nothing about our kind of work and secondly, she is an enemy and will remain as one!"

"Draven—"

"She should not be allowed into private discussions such as this and should not know a damn thing about our business. The only thing she should know of is how to atone for her sins as the criminal that she is."

His cold tone made the fire in Nyx’ara’s blood turn to ice and his words made her realise that he had only stood up for her because of his egoistic belief that only he had the right to hurt or break her.

Goddess, he was even talking like he cared less about her presence in the room.

She lowered her head and gulped.

"Also..." Draven continued to speak, his attention now on Nyx’ara who instantly whipped up her head to meet his gaze.

His voice was so cold, it chilled her blood as he spat; "You should know your place. Because you’re married to us does not mean that you get to speak with our subjects however you like. This marriage between us is not to elevate your status, it is to remind you of who you are... what you are... a murderer!"

Nyx’ara’s chest tightened.

Draven noticed the shift in her demeanor as soon as those words landed and for some reason, the sudden sadness in her eyes made his chest feel like it was laden with lead.

He hated that her micro-expressions affected him this much, but pushing it away, he continued;

"The next time you forget who you are and try to insert yourself into our discussion will be the last time you’ll breathe. Is that clear?"

Tears filled Nyx’ara’s eyes. She muttered; "Y-yes."

"Now, get out!"

For a moment, she was frozen in place, her heart aching with fear and pain and anger all at once.

Her anger turned into tears that burned at the corners of her eyes, and in that moment, she was almost tempted to tell him that she was innocent.

That the reason he hated her this much was fabricated.

However, before she could speak, he turned away from her and began to idly scroll through his phone, totally ignoring her.

So she swallowed her truth and her pain and turned away, walking out with her chin held high and her limbs trembling.

Kieran and Rhys watched her go with a mixture of fascination and a twisted kind of pain and it wasn’t until she was gone that they turned to find Draven watching her too, a complicated emotion etched deep into his face.

For a long moment, the room was plunged into eerie silence— one that did not break even as they sat for the next hour, scrolling through their phones.

Because deep down, they all knew... in their dark twisted minds... that Draven had gone too far.

Not like Nyx’ara didn’t deserve it.
