Blood Primordial: Start With S-Rank Blood Dragon Bloodline
Chapter 81: Mastery of First Spear Move
City Lord couldn’t help shaking his head. The Dragon Slaying Spear was one of the fundamental spear techniques, but that didn’t mean it was easy; it was a culmination of ancient human sages.
Every move of it has deep meaning, and countless new spear techniques are created using the four fundamental techniques. And among the four, the Dragon Slaying Spear was the hardest to master.
Even among the ten control-level masters of the spear, a single one might not have fully understood it. Even if some spear master understood all nine forms, they could become almost invisible in the control realm just by it.
But old Marcus wanted Max to master the first three forms; even if they were the first three forms, they weren’t something that could be understood in a week.
An ordinary blood awakener might need a decade; even a genius would need a year. But Max only had a week to do that.
City lord looked at Marcus, who seemed not to care about the city lord’s glances and instead started to say.
"Since you said he is the one, so naturally the standards have to be high, and you might not have noticed, but he seems to have a divine artifact."
City Lord’s calm expression changed a bit upon hearing this, and he couldn’t but ask. "Are you sure?"
"You wouldn’t have felt it, but I am sure, as you should know, I am very sensitive to it." Old Marcus answered with confidence.
"Since he already was chosen by a divine artifact, naturally his standards are completely different from ordinary geniuses. What might be impossible for others is entirely possible for this kid."
City Lord remained silent hearing this, although it was a bit of a stretch but was kind of the truth. Especially since he didn’t expect Max to somehow be able to get a divine artifact.
But he couldn’t help but think, "Where did the kid manage to get a Divine artifact?"
This was something even he, the legendary City Lord of the City of Blood, could not figure out.
Even he, who had lived for more than a thousand years, had only heard of Divine Artifacts appearing once or twice during his lifetime. Each time, their appearance had triggered fierce battles involving ancient monsters who had lived for countless years longer than he had.
Even the City of Blood only has one true Divine Artifact left behind by the first City Lord himself.
But now a kid who just awakened a few days ago somehow managed to get hold of a Divine Artifact that even he was unable to get.
This made him sigh, as fate really is something terrifying and not something easy to comprehend.
"Then let’s see what kind of performance this kid would put on in a week." City Lord calmly murmured, and then both of them stopped looking at Max.
....
Max didn’t know anything about the small discussion about him between two terrifying beings. His focus was on the spear technique.
He didn’t stop after his first try. He continued nonstop without taking a break, as he seemed engrossed in his training. But unconsciously, the Divine Artifact Hell Crimson Spear within seemed to tremble a bit.
The small marking in his arm seemed to glow slightly, barely noticeable beneath his skin.
And he steadily seemed to feel the connection between the spear and him increasing, and the moves that were difficult to understand seemed to start to get easier.
The movements that had initially seemed complicated and difficult to comprehend gradually became clearer. With every attempt, his understanding deepened, and his control over his strength, speed, and momentum improved.
Each thrust brought him a little closer to perfection.
The gap between his current understanding and the true essence of the technique steadily narrowed.
Then, at a certain moment, something finally clicked.
BOOM!
Max thrust his spear forward. This time, the movement was completely different.
His strength, speed, and momentum merged seamlessly, concentrating into a single devastating point. The spear shot forward at a speed exceeding the sound barrier, piercing the metallic training dummy as easily as a needle passing through cotton.
A perfect Armor-Piercing Thrust!
Max looked at the dummy with an excited expression as he had done it; although it was the first move, he had finally mastered it. As he was shocked and feeling happy, he suddenly felt all of his strength drained and almost lost his balance.
His hands were trembling, and holding the spear, or even remaining standing, seemed to be difficult, as he unknowingly seemed to have trained for hours, and the last, yet perfect, shot emptied his last bit of strength.
He smiled as it seemed that was it for today, and the sun had also already set. He slowly and steadily left before glancing at the perfectly pierced dummy.
Max returned to his manor, where the maids had already prepared everything he needed to wash up and rest. After cleaning himself up, he practically collapsed onto his bed.
But he was also confused as to why he suddenly seemed to have become better at using a spear. That sensation was too weird and unexpected, but it was a good thing for him.
He remained lying in the bed for an hour before he regained a bit of his strength. Just then, as he was thinking about what he should do now, he heard a knock on his door.
"Come in," he said as he sat down.
And then Nessa came along with two maids who seemed to be holding two different things.
"Master, these are the things resource management sent for you."
Max immediately looked at the trays the two maids were holding. Each tray had only one item. One seemed like a ring, so it might be a storage ring similar to the one he had, and the other one seemed to be a wrist guard or bracelet of some kind.
Curious, Max picked up the ring first. The moment it touched his hand, he immediately recognised it as a storage ring. And he quickly used his blood to connect with it and looked inside.
But the moment he looked inside, he was shocked, as the space within was massive, many times bigger than the one he got from Stella. And it wasn’t empty.
