"Oh." Old Marcus’s eyes glowed as he saw Max fire blood bullets. They were heavily compressed, powerful and fast.

Max watched as Old Marcus remained calm in the face of his blood bullets, and it appeared he had no intention of dodging.

But what happened next shocked him as he watched the blood bullets seem to hit the target, but suddenly he saw something shocking as the blood bullets seemed to phase through him like he was some ghost.

For a moment, Max couldn’t believe what he was seeing. But then he noticed something.

Marcus’s feet seemed to have shifted slightly.

That tiny movement immediately made Max realise the truth: he hadn’t become a ghost or anything; he was just too fast for his eyes to comprehend.

His eyes twitched as the difference was too much; like if the old man decided to, he might not see it coming at all.

"Power of blood is well concentrated, and control isn’t half bad. But you seem to be aiming only with your eyes. It wouldn’t hit anyone who sees things differently." Just like an old elder, Marcus spoke again, giving his advice.

Max, on the other hand, didn’t quite fully understand what it meant to only see with his eyes. If not to see with eyes, then from what? from ass? He couldn’t help but wonder why these old guys talk such bullshit.

But he didn’t stop and used every kind of attack he could do without hesitation; whether it was Blood explosion or Scarlet buckshot, nothing seemed to make the old man Marcus flinch a little bit.

He gave his best, except for not using his trump card, Hell Crimson Spear; he pushed himself to his current limit, but he didn’t manage to budge Marcus.

Though his terrifying and versatile attacks still shocked the servants watching. They were quite surprised seeing his strength, as there were quite a few who were stronger than Max, but nothing that they were as strong as him when they just became bloodline awakener.

After unleashing everything he had, Max finally began to feel exhausted. It was an unfamiliar feeling.

Even during the four days and nights he had fought in the beast tide, he hadn’t felt this mentally and physically drained.

Yet fifteen minutes of fighting against Marcus had left him more exhausted than that entire ordeal.

The difference between them was simply overwhelming.

Meanwhile, Marcus hadn’t even broken a sweat.

His clothes remained perfectly neat, without so much as a speck of dust on them. He looked as though he had merely taken a leisurely stroll rather than spent fifteen minutes facing a relentless barrage of attacks.

"Alright, let’s stop. I know your level and what you needed to do from now on." He said after seeing Max had given his all.

Max nodded with a sigh of relief, as he didn’t want to fight this old man, as it was worse than being beaten, unable to do anything, and feeling like a bug.

The servants also quickly left, leaving them alone.

"Kid, now you might have many questions about your strength. Come ask me. Today I will first clear your doubts."

Hearing Old Marcus’s words, Max quickly sorted his thoughts and asked seriously, as he needed to know a lot.

"Senior, truthfully I didn’t know much about bloodline awakeners and how they improve their strength. I didn’t even know what level above the transformation realm is called."

He spoke calmly, without any embarrassment.

There was no point pretending to know things he didn’t. He had grown up in a remote corner of the world, far removed from the true centres of power. It was only natural that his knowledge would have limitations.

And now that he finally had someone capable of answering his questions, he intended to make the most of the opportunity.

Old Marcus doesn’t seem to be surprised by hearing his words and calmly nods and answers his question.

"Indeed, you just awakened; it’s normal that you didn’t know much. Then let me give you brief information about things you should know."

"First, let’s talk about the levels, from low to high: Blood Awakener, Transformation, Profound Control and then the Domain Lord."

"There are levels even above the domain lord, but you didn’t need to know about that. Even Profound Control and Domain Lord are far beyond your current reach."

Marcus looked at Max and continued.

"So, let me explain the first two realms—Blood Awakener and Transformation—and how you can advance through them."

"Blood Awakener begins when people awaken their bloodline power and gain strength beyond that of an ordinary person. You should know about the bloodline grades, so I wouldn’t be saying that, but how do they improve."

"Blood awakeners need to slowly purify their blood and strengthen their bloodline, which can be done using various natural treasures, potions, and even through special medicinal baths."

"It is also known as the easiest realm, as even a stupid dog can improve if he has enough resources."

Max’s mouth twitched slightly at the old man’s blunt explanation.

Old Marcus paid no attention to his reaction and continued.

"However, things become much more difficult when you attempt to break through into the Transformation Realm. This is the first major barrier every Bloodline Awakener must overcome."

"Once you’ve reached the peak of the Blood Awakener Realm and strengthened your bloodline to its limit, you must first transform your bloodline power by absorbing the energy of heaven and earth."

"After that, you need to establish a deeper connection with your bloodline and awaken a new bloodline talent. This allows you to draw closer to the true essence of your bloodline and its source."

Max listened carefully, not wanting to miss any words. But after hearing it, he was confused: what energy from heaven and earth?

Old Marcus naturally noticed his expression and seemed to read his mind. "Heaven and earth energy is the source of everything in the world and is one of the purest forms of energy in the world."
