Max didn’t notice or feel anyone’s presence; he simply followed the same path and left the garden.

But he wasn’t too calm, as he had a lot of thoughts in his mind. The City Lord and his ancestor didn’t tell him much, and it seemed he had to figure out the things on his own.

Stella and Aron were already waiting for him.

"Let go. I will take you to your residence, and for the rest, others will notify you." Aron said, looking at Max, lost in thought.

After walking for a while, they finally arrived at a large building—or, more accurately, a massive manor.

It had dozens of rooms, an expansive garden with a pond, and a spacious training ground behind the main building.

Max was a bit surprised to see where he was going to stay, but he calmed down, as from now on this kind of thing should be normal.

"You can rest here for today. Starting tomorrow, your training will begin, and you’ll meet plenty of people. So stay calm, and don’t say or do anything without thinking it through first."

Aron paused for a moment before giving him a meaningful look.

"Kid, hopefully the next time we meet you can surprise me." After saying this, Aron left them alone.

Max remained standing there for a moment, and then, with a deep sigh, he and Stella entered his new manor.

The interior was filled with extravagant furnishings and decorations.

Everything seemed luxurious, from the furniture to the decorations adorning the walls. Even the bricks and marble tiles used for the floors were made from rare and expensive materials.

He went from a street rat struggling to eat to a young master who might, in the future, control the lives of tens of thousands of people with simple thoughts.

He and Stella went to their rooms to rest as they were travelling for some days. His room was the biggest room in the manor.

It was a room that could truly be said to have come out of medieval fantasy stories, but what was interesting was that he felt a very subtle hint of energy that seemed to continuously nourish him the moment he entered this room.

This surprised him as he carefully felt the blood within seeming to be steadily absorbing it, and slowly the amount of blood within him was increasing. Although it was very slow, something like this had never happened since he awakened his bloodline.

Max’s eyes glowed as it seemed he was already improving. He couldn’t help waiting for the next day to arrive and learn how to improve his strength.

He finally went to sleep, as since awakening he didn’t have truly rested nicely; even after the beast tide, he couldn’t sleep, not to mention sleeping on the back of the flying wyvern.

The day passed very quickly, and the moment Max awakened, it was already morning. He quickly felt the change within him.

He felt he had more energy than ever; he even felt the amount of blood within him had increased by about 1%, which seemed nothing and might be unnoticed by others, but this was the improvement just from sleeping here for a day.

How much improvement would happen if he stayed here months or years? He could not figure it out, but he was going to become stronger at an extremely fast rate.

Just as he finished examining his body, several servants entered the room, beautiful maids carrying fresh clothes and other necessities.

They immediately began helping Max get dressed.

There were four or five maids, but what caught his attention was the one who called Nessa, who apparently was his personal maid.

Nessa was a very beautiful woman appearing nineteen or twenty in age. She was approximately five feet seven inches tall, with long legs and godly breasts. He almost wanted to fondle those two tempting breasts, but this wasn’t the reason she caught his attention.

It was her aura, which she didn’t hide at all. She was definitely a transformation realm expert and not an ordinary one. Her aura was steady, and he felt a powerful yet cold, bloody aura around him.

She was absolutely a peak powerhouse in the transformation realm; he even felt she was more dangerous than the City Lord of Flameheart City.

"Young master, let me help you dress up," Nessa said calmly with a bit of a bewitching smile. Her aura had coldness, but it also had a different kind of charm.

"Hmm, yes." Max hesitated but agreed, since he was getting a chance, and why not just enjoy this noble feeling? He had never experienced such service.

She then gently helped him change his clothes. As she changed his clothes, she massaged his back, and immediately he felt himself getting hard.

’Fuck! Get a hold of yourself!’

"It’s alright, I can do the rest." He quickly controlled himself and told her to stop.

She was clearly the type of woman he liked, but it wasn’t the time, and more importantly, he didn’t know if she would just swat him like a fly with the difference in their strength.

"Yes, young master." She replied calmly, not caring about Max’s reaction. Anyways, she now had to follow Young Master for her life.

After all, she had been assigned to serve him and would continue to fulfill her duties for as long as necessary.

She then continued speaking in the same composed tone.

"Young Master, you need to visit the Bloodline Hall today and complete the Bloodline Ceremony."

Max raised an eyebrow.

"The Bloodline Ceremony?"

"Yes. Many people from the various branches and halls will gather to witness it."

Nessa’s expression became slightly more serious.

"Since your return is an important matter for the entire City of Blood, you should be careful about how you conduct yourself. Many people will be paying attention to you, Young Master."

Max nodded; he understood. Although it seemed everything was going well, he had a feeling that things wouldn’t be simple for him in this City of Blood. He might get caught in the chaos of the power struggle within the city.
