Blood Primordial: Start With S-Rank Blood Dragon Bloodline
Chapter 70: Before Leaving
"No!..."
The clan leader of the Silverblade family roared in despair as he watched his son die in front of him. He had only one son, which is why he loved him a lot, which turned him into this selfish, psycho jerk young master who would do anything to fulfil his desires.
It seemed he had lost his mind and attacked. Everyone watching gloated, as the Silverblade family had been too overbearing over the last few decades as their strength increased, so they hoped he would lose his mind and the terrifying expert in front of them would annihilate him.
But suddenly he seemed to calm down eerily. His facial expression became cold and indifferent, as if the death of his son didn’t matter.
This surprised everyone, even Max, as he expected him to lose control and attack him. But it seemed he was much more ruthless and cold and didn’t move in Aron’s presence.
Max also couldn’t help but furrow his brows upon seeing this, as he wanted to take care of him with the help of Aron, but he seemed to be more terrifying than he expected.
But he remained calm and looked at Aron, who had a small grin as he looked at the calmed-down Silverblade Clan leader.
The Silverblade Clan Leader quickly bowed toward Aron.
"It was my son’s fault. He troubled the young friend and deserved what happened to him."
His voice remained calm and respectful.
"From this day onwards, he has nothing to do with the Silverblade Family. So please forgive me."
His calm and cold voice rang in the silence, and everyone couldn’t help but take a deep breath. This guy who changed his mind so quickly couldn’t help but shock everyone with his decisiveness. Just from this, everybody became sure not to mess with this kind of ruthless person.
Max also twitched seeing this, as he underestimated these old bastards from noble families; they weren’t easy to take care of. He didn’t say anything, even though Aron said he was a young master, but he didn’t think he could just order him around.
He remained silent and let Aron decide what to do.
Aron smiled faintly. "Not bad. You know what to do."
He nodded.
"Alright. You are pardoned."
His gaze swept across the surrounding crowd. "Everyone here, leave. Empty this place."
His voice remained calm, yet there was an unmistakable authority behind it.
"I’ll be leaving the city shortly."
His voice was calm, yet it left no room for others who wanted to establish some relationship with the terrifying powerhouse like him.
And naturally, no one dared to disobey him. The entire street quickly began to clear.
But just as the city lord was about to leave, he was stopped by Max. "City Lord, wait a moment. I had something to talk about."
Hearing this, the city lord and a few members of the Flameheart Clan stayed, and other clans’ eyes glowed with a bit of jealousy, but they all silently left the place.
The Silverblade clan leader glanced at the headless corpse of his son, but he calmly, along with his clan members, left the place. As he left, there was a hidden killing intent within his eyes, but nobody noticed that.
Max quickly then came to the City lord and the clan leader of the Flameheart family.
The Flameheart City Lord’s power was nothing compared to Aron or the mysterious woman who had tried to kidnap him.
Even so, he was still the strongest person Max had encountered in this city besides those two.
His strength even surpassed the abominations that had required five Transformation Realm experts to defeat.
Max couldn’t help but marvel at the difference in strength between realms.
At his current level, there was still an enormous gap between him and the true powerhouses of this world.
Beside him was the old commander of the eastern gate who fought during the beast tide. He smiled at Max and said, "Young friend is indeed extraordinary."
Max quickly thanked him. "I am just lucky, but thanks to seniors, many survived the beast tide."
Then he glanced at the City Lord. "City lord, I have just a small request, and I hope the City lord can help me," he said with respect, looking at the City lord.
"Oh!" City Lord’s eyes glowed as he had learnt a bit about Max from the old commander and how he had felt an ancient aura from him and already guessed what kind of level of power the terrifying Aron came from.
So, he was naturally happy to be of some help to Max. Their Flameheart family had managed to remain strong for hundreds of years precisely because of the connections they had built with powerful figures.
"Tell me, young friend. Whatever help you need, the Flameheart Family will do its best to satisfy your request."
The City Lord smiled brightly as he spoke.
"It isn’t much, but I am about to leave and cannot take my friends, so I was hoping for the City lord to take care of them."
"City Lord, you have already seen that I have killed the young master of the Silverblade family, and they might not be able to do anything to me, but they can definitely find out about my friends Andrew and Mathew."
"So I hope you can take care of them. I will be grateful for this," he said calmly, looking at the City lord. He wasn’t able to take the two brothers with him, but he knew the Silverblade family wouldn’t let it go, and he couldn’t leave them like this when they faced dangers with him.
City lord immediately understood Max’s concern and, without hesitation, nodded, as this was nothing to him. From his words, he could see Max was a loyal person, and this small help might someday come in handy for the clan.
Without hesitation, he nodded.
"Absolutely."
"Don’t worry. I will take care of your two friends. Nothing will happen to them."
His voice was filled with confidence.
To the City Lord, protecting two people was a trivial matter.
