Chapter 421: Demon-Killing Shotgun
Fang Raon felt Luxifer’s essence of power flowing out of his forehead into the palm of his hand.
And just like that, his power was stripped away from him, and Luxifer had become as strong as a normal human.
Only slightly stronger because of his demon physique, but even a level 2 player would be enough to kill him now.
"Are we done here?"
Luxifer inquired, with a hint of pain in his voice.
Even though he agreed, he didn’t like getting his power stripped away from him, and there were a lot of anger and resentment in his eyes.
"Yes... We are."
Fang Raon then drove the Blackest Blade sword through Luxifer’s heart and watched as his face twisted in shock.
"Ugh... W-why... why...?"
He kept asking because he couldn’t understand why Fang Raon did this because they had made a deal.
"I don’t trust you."
Fang Raon said.
"W-what? I let you take... away from my power and everything!"
Luxifer screamed through the pain with blood seeping from the wound, and he couldn’t keep standing, so he dropped to the ground and leaned against a rock.
"My sword doesn’t trust you. And neither do I. When you talked, I used ’Read’ on you, but you were masking your thoughts.
"If you were truly truthful about everything you said, you wouldn’t have done that, so I had fair reason to assume that you were lying.
"You just let me take away your power so that I would start trusting you, so at a later date, you can come back here to free the demons once I am gone."
Fang Raon said.
"Ptui..."
Luxifer coughed blood, and then he looked up at Fang Raon, with the last remaining life leaving his body.
"The age of demons will come... and you all shall burn..."
Luxifer’s head then started hanging limply to the front—he succumbed to his wounds, and his eyes closed for the last time.
’Weakest demons, yet they gave a quite of a fight.’
Fang Raon understood the danger that the demons possessed. And he wanted to make sure that it wouldn’t be possible for them to come back.
He walked back to the site of the collapsed mountain, where he could see the remnants of their battle scattered across the landscape.
’Prison Gate.’
Fang Raon looked at the massive gate that was standing in the middle of the collapsed mountain site.
It had zero scratches to its massive frame, as if it had been untouched by the battle just now. Its door was still wide open, and Fang Raon could catch a glimpse inside the First Circle of Hell.
A town of some kind. It was eerily silent, with no signs of life anywhere. Buildings were crimson-red like they had all been built by the blood of the damned.
Rivers were running through the town, but there was no water in them, only a thick, black substance that seemed to be moving on its own.
’A horrible place.’
Fang Raon thought, and then he saw the Sword of the Sakura inside the keyhole, and he quickly pulled it out.
Then.
He pushed the doors shut.
The magic circles in the door began to glow brighter, and he heard all kinds of mechanical sounds coming from inside the door.
As if there were gears turning.
’The demon moon is passing.’
Fang Raon thought as he watched the crimson-red moon disappearing—replaced by its glowing blue counterpart.
’In another three years, the demon moon would come back.’
He thought.
Then, after taking the last look around the site, he started heading back.
...
"Huff... Puff..."
Peter blew on the Bliss Pipe, and then he closed his eyes, feeling a sense of relief wash over him.
It had been quiet for a while now—but he didn’t know whether it was a good or bad thing, as there were sounds of fighting just now.
One side must’ve won already.
’Young man...’
Peter thought about the young man that visited him not long ago and thought that he must be dead already.
The demons were released, and nobody could defeat them—that’s at least what he thought.
But then, he looked up and saw somebody walking down the road that went in-between the fields of wheat and sunflowers.
It was none other than the black-haired young man who visited him, Fang Raon, with the triple-barreled shotgun in one hand and black blade in another.
He had returned!
"Young man!"
Peter put the Bliss Pipe away and stood up in a surprise, and he looked around but couldn’t see demons anywhere.
"What happened? Demons got released, didn’t they? We all heard the March of the Demons song. Where are they?"
"The demons are gone. I took care of them. I made a little mistake letting them get free in the first place, but I handled it."
Fang Raon walked up the steps of the porch and then sat down across from Peter, who looked like he had heard something crazy.
"...You did what?"
Peter asked as he honestly thought that he must’ve huffed and puffed too much of Bliss Pipe and it made him hear things.
But since Fang Raon was here—even though he was covered in blood and injuries—he was still alive.
Nobody would be alive after encountering demons, so since he was alive, it must mean that he came out as the victor!
"You really killed them?"
Peter asked.
"Mm."
Fang Raon nodded, and then he put the triple-barreled shotgun down on the table and said, "That’s yours."
Peter looked at the shotgun and tenderly touched its barrel and could feel that it was still really, really farm.
It must mean that Fang Raon was using it very frequently during the fight.
’I can’t use the Demon-Killing Shotgun more than a few times a day because of its sheer strength. If I use it too much, the shotgun will kill me.
’He must’ve used this over ten times, maybe even around twenty times, and he still looks... fine.’
Peter thought and looked at Fang Raon with a deep look and remembered something that his father used to say.
’Demon-Killing Shotgun chooses its master...’
"And this."
Fang Raon retrieved the Sword of the Sakura from his inventory and placed it on the table next to the shotgun.
"Sword of the Sakura! Excellent job to get this back."
Peter took the Sword of the Sakura from the table, and tried holding it, but this sword wasn’t really made for fighting.
It was just a key. Nothing else. It was a durable sword, sure, but it wasn’t sharp at all, and it was awkward to hold.
"You should take it back to the Japan Town immediately."
Peter said.
"I will."
Fang Raon took the sword back from him and stored it inside his inventory, and then he stood up and said,
"I should start heading back."
He made for the stairs until he heard Peter say, "Stop for a moment, young man," and he did, and then he turned around.
Peter looked at the Demon-Killing Shotgun, and then he grabbed it and tossed it over to him.
"You take this!"
"What?"
Fang Raon caught the Demon-Killing Shotgun and looked at the farmer with a surprised look, as he didn’t expect him to offer him this weapon suddenly.
Demon-Killing Shotgun was indeed an amazing weapon, and he would love to have it, but he was wondering why he was giving him this.
"Demon-Killing Shotgun has chosen you as his master. I am sure you will put it in a better use than I would over here at the farm."
Peter said.
Fang Raon looked genuinely surprised, but then he nodded and accepted the shotgun with gratitude.
"I’ll take care of it."

Fang Raon then left the farm, and Peter waved goodbye and watched as he disappeared into the horizon.
...
Japan Town, the Chief’s Hall.
"You have done an excellent job, young man!"
The chief of the Japan Town looked ecstatic as he held the Sword of the Sakura in his hands once more.
He thought that it was gone forever and their entire town would be reduced to nothing but rubble if it had not been found.
The townspeople all looked excited, and they thanked Fang Raon repeatedly, as he was the one that brought it back.
"...Young man, we also heard the March of the Demon... Could it be that the demons have returned?"
The chief asked with a whisper.
He didn’t want to scare the townspeople, which was why he whispered, but they all knew what the March of the Demons meant.
It meant the return of the demonkind!
"No, there is nothing to worry about. Just keep that sword safe. Do not lose it again."
Fang Raon said firmly.
He thought that these townspeople were idiots for letting the zealots steal the Sword of the Sakura in the first place.
It was such an insanely important item as it could free the demonkind—which would cause the apocalypse—and Japan Town’s future also depended on the sword!
"We will!"
The chief said, and then he waved his hand, and one of his associates walked over and handed him a brown pouch.
"As promised. For retrieving the Sword of the Sakura back, you’re awarded with 250,000 square coins."
"Thank you."
Fang Raon accepted the pouch, and his wealth grew even larger.
