Chapter 420: I Don’t Want To Fight
"Fang Raon’s Heavenly Slaughter Dance!"
The dead rose from the ground and began to dance along with Fang Raon—their arms were outstretched towards the sky as if reaching for something beyond their grasp.
In that moment, some of the dead grabbed onto Rahmee and started dragging him in all directions.
"Let go of me!"
Rahmee ripped himself free, and then he threw a punch that shattered the skulls of the dead men and women.
Incubius ran through the dead, and then he threw a flying kick towards Fang Raon—who blocked it with his arm.
"DEATH DRIVE!"
Incubius’ eyes started burning, and the strength of his kick increased severalfold, and Fang Raon’s face twisted.
Crack... the bone in his arm cracked.
At that moment, the dead jumped towards Incubius like an army of zombies, and they piled on top of him like a clothing pile.
They clawed, punched, and bit at Incubius—who was screaming with a hoarse voice while slowly getting ripped apart.
Luxifer created several black magic circles under the dead men, and those magic circles sucked them all into the ground.
"Summoning that many dead men was a mistake. It must be very taxing on you mana-wise. Do you have anything left in the tank?"
Luxifer asked.
A few sweat drops fell down Fang Raon’s face, as these stronger skills were very taxing indeed—that’s why he was trying not to use too many of these legacy skills.
"Want to find out?"
Fang Raon grabbed the Blackest Blade hard, and at that moment, its blade started burning with black flames.
"Demon flames."
Joker said with a surprise.
Normal mortal fire wouldn’t be able to hurt them, but demon fire could—so they were immediately very cautious.
"LET’S KILL HIM ALREADY—DEATH DRIVE!"
Incubius screamed so loud that his face twisted into something monstrous, and then he rushed at Fang Raon.
’That fool is depleting his life force.’
Luxifer thought as he looked at Incubius, and then he saw Rahmee and Joker also attacking Fang Raon—he then immediately followed them.
"Fang Raon’s Dance Parry!"
Fang Raon parried Incubius’ kick—then he sensed something with Read—and he quickly pulled his head back and dodged Rahmee’s "Hardrock" punch.
Joker swung his daggers at him—they came extremely fast—but Fang Raon easily deflected them with a wave of his black blade.
Luxifer moved his hands in a very weird way. It looked like he was doing hundreds of hand signals. And at that moment, a prison made of black circles surrounded Fang Raon.
"Dark Prison of Eternal Depression Where There Is No Escape Except Death of Oneself!"
"MAXIMA!"
Fang Raon sliced through the air, and the dark prison shattered around him like a house that was entirely made of glass.
"Oh?"
Luxifer face was suddenly cut in half—he also got hit by the slash—and his body dropped to the ground.
"DEATH DRIVE!"
Incubius screamed with his mouth stretching like that of a crazed wolf, and then he disappeared into thin air.
He instantly appeared before Fang Raon, raising his hand to strike, and then his fist met with the black blade.
"DESTROY EVERYTHING!
"DEATH DRIVE!"
Incubius screamed.
He was intending to punch through the black blade—and the black blade started instantly trembling like it was about to shatter!
"Swallow him with the demon flames."
Fang Raon commanded the sword.
The black flames shot outwards, and before Incubius could react, the flames engulfed him entirely.
"Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
The agonizing scream of Incubius echoed through the land as the flesh melted off his bones.
"Let’s attack him together, Joker!"
Rahmee said, and Joker nodded, and they attacked him simultaneously—one coming from the left and another from the right.
Fang Raon met their attack with a lunge, and he swung his sword once—and with that, he stopped Rahmee’s punch and Joker’s dagger stab.
All he needed was one slash!
"Iron Skin!"
Rahmee hardened his skin, and Joker started to slowly turn invisible with Shade.
In that moment, Fang Raon turned his back on Rahmee—looking like he had foolishly dropped his guard—but it wasn’t that.
’An opening!’
Rahmee thought, and he cancelled Iron Skin—because to use other Pillars of Oppression, he couldn’t use another one at the same time.
It was something that Fang Raon had already noticed.
"Hardrock!"
Rahmee punched towards the back of Fang Raon’s head, but then, he stabbed the Blackest Blade backwards, and it stabbed through Rahmee’s chest.
"Ugh!"
Rahmee’s eyes widened in a shock.
"Burn brightly like a black sun."
Fang Raon whispered, and the demon flames shot out, and Rahmee cried like a little girl with tears streaming down his face.
It was the worst pain he had ever experienced.
And then, Fang Raon pointed the triple-barreled shotgun towards Joker—who was trying to turn invisible—and he pulled the trigger.
The pellets shredded through Joker’s face with a sickening crunch—and he collapsed backwards until his body met with the ground.
’He took all of them down.’
Luxifer thought with a surprised look.
Rahmee dropped to the ground, and the demon flames also engulfed him—and soon he was nothing but a smothering pile of ashes.
Joker, Incubus, and Rahmee were all dead!
"Try to revive them. I wouldn’t mind killing them again."
Fang Raon said.
"...It would be no use, right? You used that technique of yours that makes my revive spell useless."
Luxifer said.
"Maybe."
Fang Raon smiled.
"...Well."
Luxifer found a place to sit, and then he sat down, and he put his hand on top of his left knee—rubbing it like a magic genie’s lamp.
"You got rid of the fodder. Congratulations. Do you know why only five of us managed to leave the Prison?
"There are millions of demons there, imprisoned, and they all want out, so why didn’t millions of us just pour out of there?"
Luxifer asked.
"I have a feeling you will tell me."
Fang Raon said, and then he sat down on a rock and rested the Blackest Blade on top of his leg.
"Because we five are the weakest demons there are. Yet, we alone are strong enough to take over this floor.
"What do you think would happen if our masters got free? This tower will be destroyed in an instant."
Luxifer said.
"And I have a feeling that the Prison Gate is still keeping them locked there; is that right? Sword of the Sakura might’ve opened the gate, but it was just the first gate, isn’t that right?"
Fang Raon asked.
"Correct. They released demons from the First Circle of Hell into the world. The five of us were the only ones in there.
"There is a separate gate inside the First Circle of Hell that opens to the Second Circle of Hell—and then the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, and finally ninth, where our masters live at.
"Second circle demons are already enough to take over this tower in a day’s time."
Luxifer said.
Fang Raon looked behind towards the collapsed mountain, and the Sword of Sakura was lying inside some of that rubble.
’I can’t let him open that gate.’
He thought.
"Honestly, I have no interest in opening that gate, which is why I am telling you all of this."
Luxifer said.
"...Really?"
Fang Raon asked with a frown.
He had a hard time believing that because he was a demon, and demons were infamous for their trickery and lies.
"I don’t want this world to be destroyed. Why would I want that? This place is beautiful, and demons would honestly just ruin it.
"This place would become second hell, and I am tired of seeing all that death, pain, and fire—I am done with that.
"I will retreat to the quiet corner of the world to live the rest of my life in peace, and I will not harm anybody else."
Luxifer said with a soft look on his face.
It looked like he really meant it—or he was just an excellent actor—Fang Raon wasn’t quite sure about it yet.
"Do we have a deal? Will you let me leave? And in exchange, I’ll be teaching you the Pillars of Oppression.
"I am sure you are eager to become stronger."
Luxifer said.
"..."
Fang Raon would be lying if he said that he didn’t want to learn the Pillars of Oppression—as they were definitely strong techniques.
In par with Pillars of Power or even greater in some aspects.
But then, Fang Raon looked at the Blackest Blade, and it was trembling for some reason—like it was trying to tell him something.
"What are you saying?"
Fang Raon touched the blade, and used Read on it to understand its message, and slowly, the blade’s feelings were revealed to him.
’You don’t trust him?’
A smile came to his face, and then he looked at Luxifer.
"I will accept the deal in one condition. I will take away your power from you. It’s the only way to ensure you won’t harm anyone else."
Fang Raon said.
Luxifer looked shocked by the condition, and he was clearly thinking about something—very deeply thinking about something.
"...Okay."
He said with a cool look on his eyes.
Fang Raon approached him, and then he put his hand on his forehead, and then he said, "Do not try to resist."
Luxifer did not try to resist.
"Void."
Fang Raon whispered.
If Luxifer resisted, there was no way his Void would be strong enough to take Luxifer’s power away from him.
However, now that he wasn’t resisting, he could actually take away his demonic powers!
