Chapter 163: 163: NICE TO MEET YOU.

The blue water wave washed through the lake as its energy pulled June in.

June couldn’t fight it. He simply found himself tripping and falling straight into the water portal that had opened right before his eyes.

"Ah!"

He fell straight into it as the portal immediately covered up with a blue wave that instantly returned to normal, as if nothing had happened.

Ryan and the rest knelt there, staring like statues. It had happened so fast that they didn’t even understand what had just happened.

"What was that...?" Kael raised an eyebrow.

"June was kidnapped." Ryan instantly brushed his hands through the water, but felt nothing. He got to his feet and stepped into the water, but nothing happened either.

No portal. Nothing opened to swallow him as well.

And at that moment, it made sense that the portal had only responded to June’s energy and had taken him alone.

Simon gasped. "This is bad..." He stared at Ryan, who was standing in the water. "Do you think he’ll be okay?"

Ryan was quiet. He stood there, staring into the water for a while before finally saying, "He’ll be fine..."

Kael asked, "Are you sure?" He looked around. "This place doesn’t seem favorable to anyone at all..."

Ryan nodded. "He should be okay. I’m certain..." He turned to face them. "Let’s just stay here and wait for him."

He added, "Let’s wait for their return."

---

"Ahh!"

June fell through a portal that felt like he was swimming through an abyss.

He could feel water washing through him as he fell through the portal, yet his body remained completely dry.

Soon, he opened his eyes, only to find himself standing in a strange-looking atmosphere.

It was as though he was underwater, standing on land while staring through a bluish atmosphere filled with floating blue rocks and strange plants.

But he could breathe, and he couldn’t feel any water around him.

"Where is this...?"

He pushed his attention toward trying to understand why he was here. At that moment, he caught sight of something in the distance.

"What’s that...?"

June slowly approached the scene, hoping to discover what it could be. And when he got closer, he discovered it was someone.

Someone was kneeling there on the floor, their hands over their head while shaking from the cold or something else. He could hear faint mutters, but they were completely inaudible.

"Hello...?" June tried calling out.

But the person remained there on the floor, kneeling down.

Now June was curious. He slowly stepped forward, but immediately, the person disappeared into blue dust, washed away by the water-like waves.

"What the..."

June stared around, now getting scared.

"What was that...?"

He stood there, looking around while remaining alert.

And at that moment, he heard someone say from behind him, "Welcome."

June paused at the unfamiliar voice.

He hesitated before slowly turning around to see who it was.

Even when he saw a young man standing there before him with a smile, he still didn’t recognize him.

"You...?" June was confused.

The young man looked older than both him and Nyx, but he was still rather handsome. He wore a Guide uniform, though June didn’t quite recognize which organization it belonged to.

The young man had both hands behind his back as he slowly approached June.

"I was afraid I wouldn’t get to meet you... But I suppose fate had ordained this." He smiled. "How lucky am I?"

As he approached, June pulled back, still wary of who this could be.

"Who are you...? What... what do you want?" he asked.

The young man stopped close to June with a smile.

"Don’t worry. I’m not here to hurt you."

He smiled as he added, "I would never hurt anyone my brother loves. Neither would I hurt anyone who protected my brother."

As soon as he said that, June paused.

The realization slowly hit him.

"Neol...?" June asked.

The young man smiled and nodded.

"Yes. Neol. Nyx’s elder brother."

June gasped as he moved backwards.

"Wait, I thought you were dead... Why... how...?"

Neol smiled as he stared at him. He didn’t respond, allowing June to process the fact that he was inside a dungeon where nothing seemed to make sense and even the impossible could become real.

So this clearly wasn’t real either.

June stared at him before gasping again. "You... I can’t believe I’m actually seeing a ghost now... That’s not good. Am I dead too...?"

Neol smiled and shook his head.

"You really are something... You’ve seen monsters, and seeing a ghost is your issue?" He folded his arms. "My brother really did pick up an odd one. Typical of his taste."

June glared at him defensively.

"What do you mean? I’m the real deal. Pretty, rich, and smart..." He elegantly ran a hand through his hair. "Your brother sure has taste."

Neol smiled at him.

"I guess so."

June smiled back as he stared at him. The two stood there in silence for a while, simply looking at each other.

"Did you meet him? Your brother?" June finally asked.

Neol smiled as he shook his head.

"Why?"

He sighed.

"Well..." He hesitated.

June slowly nodded.

"Nyx has grown a lot. You must be proud of him."

Neol stared at June with a smile.

"He has... Thanks to you. And that’s why I knew I had to find a way to meet you."

"And unleashing the S-Ultra energy made a way for it," he explained.

June tilted his head.

"So this might potentially be your last chance to meet anyone before you disappear...?"

Neol slowly nodded.

"Yes. It is..."

June sighed.

"You should have met him... I’m pretty sure he’d want that. Why are you using this rare opportunity to even meet me...?"

Neol smiled with both hands behind his back.

"I figured I had to meet you. I have to thank you for everything..." He smiled as he added, "I have to meet the person who stole my little brother’s heart."
