Chapter 161: 161: FAILED WIFI

The kiss scene ensued. The couple on June’s screen were kissing under the heavy rain in the most romantic way possible.

Immediately, the crabs came to an abrupt stop. They stood there on the sand, their eyes glued to the tiny screen as they watched the steamy kiss unfold.

Ryan and Kael were also shocked by the scene. Their eyes moved from the video playing on June’s phone to the crabs that were now sitting there and watching.

"Am I perhaps seeing things again...?" Kael asked.

Ryan shook his head. "I doubt it... Even crabs watch BLs too..."

With the crabs’ attention glued to the screen, June smiled as he slowly brought the phone down to the floor. He dropped it there, and the crabs all slowly gathered around it.

They formed a circle around the phone, watching the scene unfold in romantic ways that could possibly lead to the bedroom.

The crabs were completely hooked.

June and Simon slowly slipped away and went to meet Ryan and Kael.

"What the hell was that?" Kael asked, clearly having more questions than that.

June folded his arms. "Never underestimate the power of yaoi." He sighed as he stared at the sun. "Now we have to go and find Nyx."

"But our phones..." Simon asked.

"Pick one. Lose your phone or die?"

Simon went quiet.

"I thought as much." June nodded as he turned toward the sun. He explained how the sun was supposed to guide them through the dungeon before suggesting, "I think we should start going before something happens. Now that they’re distracted, I bet we’ll have a lot of time on our hands."

Ryan nodded, folding both arms. "Right. So let’s follow the sun, then..." He stared toward it, partially shielding his face from the harsh light. "Let’s go."

They were about to start walking through the harsh desert when they suddenly heard an approaching noise.

"What the hell is that...?" Kael asked.

"Please tell me it’s your phone or something." Ryan turned to June.

"But I’m not with my phone..." June said as they turned to see the crabs approaching.

The three crabs that June had kept distracted with his phone had abandoned it and were now coming after them.

"What the hell is happening...?" Simon stepped backwards.

"Why are the crabs..." Before Ryan could finish, the phone the other crabs had been watching suddenly turned off. It wasn’t working anymore.

They tilted their heads to see what had happened, but nothing was showing on the screen.

The crabs stared at each other. Once they realized the phone wasn’t working anymore, they all turned and continued toward June and the rest of the group.

All ten of them began making their way toward June and his team, ready to attack.

"What the hell happened...? Don’t they like the couple, or did the smut scene end already?" Ryan inquired.

June stared around, and it took him a moment to notice something.

The atmosphere in the dungeon had shifted.

The phone ahead wasn’t showing anything at all, as though it had been completely turned off.

"I have a bad feeling about this..." he said.

"What happened?" Ryan asked.

"Let’s just say... the Wi-Fi has gone bad." June explained as he stared at the approaching crabs surrounding them.

They stepped backwards for a while as Kael asked, "Should we attack them or...?"

"Why don’t we show them more clips or something?" Ryan suggested as he pulled out his phone. "I suppose it could work again."

He tried turning on the phone, but nothing happened. It was as though it had completely shut down.

"Fuck..." Ryan snapped. "I think something happened to the dungeon’s atmosphere..."

June nodded. "Just as I thought..." He looked up at the crabs. "Something is wrong with Nyx..." He paused, thinking of a solution. "And I think we need to find a way out... now."

"What suggestions do you have?" Ryan asked.

June thought for a while before a smile slowly appeared on his face.

"It likes BL..." He turned to Ryan. "So why don’t we just give it to them?"

Ryan blinked at him.

"...."

Silence.

Then Ryan cleared his throat. "I don’t like where your mind is headed."

June smiled as he turned to Kael. "You two. Play the loving couple in the most convincing way possible. Queerbait, skinship, whatever. Make it look real."

Ryan shook his head. "No. I’m not doing that with him."

"If you don’t, we’ll probably die." June insisted. "Do it for the love of life."

Kael slowly nodded. "I mean, he has a point..."

Ryan cast him a cold glare.

The crabs had grown closer, and continuing to step backwards wasn’t helping matters.

Ryan closed his eyes and muttered, "I’ll probably regret this..."

Immediately, he opened his eyes and pulled Kael by the collar. He dragged him closer and instantly pressed his lips against his in a deep, passionate kiss.

"Oh." June gasped, blinking. "That was intense..."

The two were wrapped in an awkward kiss, their lips pressed together as the crabs instantly paused.

Their eyes moved toward Ryan and Kael and stopped there.

All ten crabs were completely locked in, staring at the kiss unfolding before them.

June slowly smiled as he observed them.

"I guess it’s working..." he said.

"Is it...?" Ryan struggled to speak amidst the awkward kiss.

June smiled. "Yes... They bought it. Real fujoshis at this point."

"Now what...?" Ryan asked amidst the kiss. "Are we supposed to stay like this forever?"

"Well, I was thinking... as long as it gets us out of here." June shrugged.

"What the fuck..." Ryan muttered as June smiled.

"Joking." June turned his attention back to the crabs, who were watching curiously.

He spent a moment brainstorming before finally coming up with a way to make this work.

And then he said, "They like what they’re seeing... So I think we should make it real enough for them to want to help us out of here."

Ryan was speechless.

"How real do you want it? Do you want us to do the deed here before you’re satisfied?"

June smiled. "Gosh, no... Never. I certainly wouldn’t want to see that..."

He turned toward the crabs before continuing, "Instead, give them some of the best fan service they’ll ever see."

"One enough to make them fans of this CP," June explained.
