"The hell..." Mr. Kevin stuttered as he staggered backwards. "What the hell... Are you...?"

Mr. Kevin was standing in a plain white lab room—the same room where he ran experiments on Espers and Guides in his organization.

But at the moment, the lab room was completely empty. The only thing in there was him, standing opposite another figure.

Neol.

Nyx’s brother.

"You’re dead..." Mr. Kevin staggered backwards. "I’m sure of it... So how the hell are you here...?" he demanded.

Mr. Kevin stumbled while moving backwards and fell on his ass. But he didn’t stop. He continued pushing himself across the floor, his eyes glued to Neol.

He was beyond terrified.

Neol stood there, golden flames consuming his body. His eyes burned with the same golden fire as he slowly made his way towards him. His staff was held firmly in his hand, ready to tear down the person before him, and Mr. Kevin could tell.

"Stay away from me! Get away! Stay..." He moved backwards, but the space seemed endless, and Neol was coming fast.

Mr. Kevin gasped aloud as he glared at the air. "You asshole! What are you doing?! Stop this now... Ah! Get..."

His whole body ached as he struggled to slide away. But it wasn’t helping matters. Soon, Neol was walking quickly towards him, raising his staff.

Without a word, he swung his staff towards Mr. Kevin on the floor. Mr. Kevin turned and rolled away, running for his life.

"Monster!" Mr. Kevin snapped as he got back on his feet, dragging himself through the space while running for his life.

In a blink, the space transformed into a psychiatric ward. Mr. Kevin found himself dragging himself through the unfamiliar halls, running and screaming for his life.

"Get me out of here! Let me go!" he yelled, but Neol came from behind him, following closely with a firm expression.

[DON’T YOU WANT TO PLAY?]

"Shut up!" Mr. Kevin snapped, running for his life.

Instantly, Neol threw his staff at Mr. Kevin.

The staff smashed into his leg, leaving him in instant pain as he fell hard to the floor.

"Ah..." Mr. Kevin groaned in pain as he slowly turned to see Neol standing before him. "You... don’t hurt me... We can talk it out, okay? I... All I did to you was not to hurt you... I... I didn’t even mean for you to die..."

He stuttered, moving backwards as he spoke. "It was all to help you... I wanted to make you powerful! The most powerful Esper in the world—"

Before he could finish his sentence, Neol smashed the staff into his face.

He hit him so hard that Mr. Kevin went rolling across the floor, blood gushing from his nose and mouth.

"Ah... You..." More blood spilled from his mouth as he struggled to move.

Neol was behind him, and he didn’t stop.

He set the staff ablaze and smashed it into Mr. Kevin’s waist from behind, hitting him so hard that he somersaulted through the air and crashed face-first onto the floor.

"Ah!" Pain exploded through his body as he struggled to turn around and stare at Neol, his face bruised and bloodied. "Listen to me... I..."

Mr. Kevin suddenly went speechless.

Neol’s face was flickering.

It wasn’t stable. His features kept changing from Neol’s face to another face that Mr. Kevin also recognized.

Nyx.

The face alternated between Neol and Nyx, and it scared the hell out of Mr. Kevin.

"You..." His fear became so intense that he lost control of himself.

Nyx’s face smiled as he heard the system speak.

[ISN’T THIS YOUR GAME? COME, LET’S PLAY.]

He raised the staff and smashed it into Mr. Kevin’s face.

Once.

Twice.

Again and again.

His staff repeatedly crashed into Mr. Kevin’s face until it was completely disfigured and almost impossible to look at.

Blood dripped down his face as Mr. Kevin staggered backwards. He was extremely weak and exhausted. He couldn’t even move anymore.

He simply lay there on the floor, staring up at Neol standing before him with the staff in his hand.

He didn’t have the power or the will to do anything.

He simply stayed there, awaiting whatever would happen to him.

"You can’t harm me... I’m an important person... The government won’t leave you alone..." he struggled to speak through his disfigured face.

Neol smiled as he stared down at him.

[FOOL. YOU’RE STILL PROUD EVEN TILL THE END]

Neol raised his staff high and positioned it towards Mr. Kevin, who lay there staring almost lifelessly.

And then he brought the staff down, smashing it across Mr. Kevin’s eyes.

"Ahhhhh!"

Mr. Kevin let out a loud scream as blood spilled from his eyes. His eyes were destroyed by the flaming staff, blood pouring from the damaged organs.

He certainly wasn’t going to see with them anytime soon.

With that done, Neol pulled the staff away, blood spilling across Mr. Kevin’s clothes and face. He stood tall, staring down at Mr. Kevin as he groaned through the pain of his destroyed eyes.

Soon, Neol’s face changed again.

Nyx’s face appeared.

"And this is for trying to hurt me..." he said as he positioned the staff towards Mr. Kevin’s hands, which he had raised over his face.

The staff smashed into Mr. Kevin’s hands, its burning energy tearing through them and leaving them bloody and badly injured.

"Ahh!" he cried out at his destroyed hands and eyes, his mouth wide open in misery as he lay there suffering through the pain.

Nyx smiled as he stood there, staring down at him.

A malicious, villainous smirk spread across his face, blood splattered across his skin and clothes.

He looked like a psychopath.

The hot, terrifying kind of psychopath.

And at that moment, he firmly raised his staff again, tilting his head with a mischievous smirk.

"And this..." Nyx said, staring down at Mr. Kevin.

"Is for bothering June."
