Chapter 138: Chapter 138: Memories Made in Paris

~Third- POV~

"Thank you. I’ll take it from here," he said with a cheerful smile.

Turning to Frederick, he raised his phone and pointed toward a spot near the flowerbeds.

"Stand right there, Daddy!" Reynold instructed, already preparing to take some solo pictures of his fiancé.

Frederick obediently followed his directions, posing while Reynold snapped several pictures. He kept asking him to try different poses, laughing whenever Frederick attempted to look serious for the camera.

Once he was satisfied, they switched roles. Frederick took Reynold’s phone and happily captured dozens of pictures of him posing playfully near the flowerbeds. He made sure to get different angles, occasionally asking Reynold to turn or change his pose.

By the time they finished, both phones were filled with pictures from their visit. They returned to the car, still chatting and laughing about their favorite shots, and headed for their next destination: Montmartre.

With their security detail keeping a discreet distance, the couple strolled hand in hand through the neighborhood’s charming cobblestone streets. They stopped at the bustling artists’ square, where local painters displayed their work and captured the beauty of Paris on their canvases.

One particular painting caught Frederick’s attention. It depicted a picturesque Parisian alleyway, complete with old-fashioned buildings and quaint storefronts. He purchased it as a keepsake, intending to have it displayed in their estate.

Reynold watched with interest as the artist carefully wrapped the painting for them. He was delighted by the idea of taking home a little piece of Paris.

By the time they finished exploring Montmartre, early afternoon had arrived. Frederick took Reynold’s hand and led him back to their waiting car.

Their next stop was an exclusive French restaurant, where Frederick had reserved a private dining area with a beautiful view of the Parisian skyline.

They settled into their seats across from each other and enjoyed an exquisite French lunch. The elegant setting, delicious food, and uninterrupted time together made the afternoon even more special. They talked, laughed, and occasionally teased each other, enjoying every moment of their time together. With no business calls or other distractions demanding Frederick’s attention, he was able to give Reynold his undivided attention throughout lunch.

Eventually, they finished their meal and remained seated, enjoying a little more conversation before leaving. Just then, a well-dressed man approached their table with a business card in his hand.

"Excuse me, sir. My boss asked me to give you her business card."

He held the card out toward Frederick before discreetly gesturing toward a table across the main dining room. A wealthy-looking woman sat there, dressed in an elegant designer outfit. She had been watching Frederick for some time, and her interest was unmistakable.

Reynold followed the man’s gesture and noticed her. His expression immediately changed. He glanced at the woman before turning his attention back to Frederick, waiting to see how his fiancé would respond.

Frederick glanced at the business card but made no move to take it. He then looked toward the woman and offered a faint, polite smile. Without hesitation, he reached across the table and took Reynold’s hand, gently lifting it so the man could clearly see the diamond engagement ring.

He brought Reynold’s hand to his lips and pressed a deliberate kiss against the ring.

"Please tell your boss," Frederick said calmly, his voice leaving no room for misunderstanding, "that I’m happily engaged to the love of my life."

The man nodded, understanding the message. "Of course, sir. Have a wonderful afternoon."

Once he had walked away, Reynold could barely contain his happiness. A bright smile spread across his face, and he lowered his head, covering his flushed cheeks with both hands.

Frederick chuckled softly, thoroughly entertained by his fiancé’s reaction.

When Reynold finally looked up, his eyes were filled with affection.

"I love you, Daddy."

"I love you too, baby," Frederick replied, giving his hand another gentle squeeze.

A little while later, they rose from their seats and prepared to leave. Before stepping out of the private dining area, Frederick slipped an arm around Reynold’s waist and pulled him into a sweet, lingering kiss.

As they passed the woman’s table, Reynold couldn’t resist one last little victory. He held up his left hand just enough for the diamond ring to catch the light, wearing a smug little smile as he walked beside Frederick.

The woman quickly looked away.

Frederick noticed Reynold’s satisfied expression and smiled to himself. He took his fiancé’s hand, intertwining their fingers as they made their way out of the restaurant and returned to their waiting car.

Their next stop was the luxury shopping district along the Avenue des Champs-élysées. They visited several exclusive designer boutiques, where Frederick encouraged Reynold to pick out anything he liked without worrying about the price.

Reynold, however, seemed more interested in shopping for Frederick than himself. He spent much of the time choosing tailored coats, silk ties, and custom cufflinks for his fiancé, while Frederick selected designer shoes, rare perfumes, and elegant casual outfits for Reynold.

By the time they finished, Frederick had purchased enough items to fill several luxury shopping bags. He paid the substantial bill without hesitation, while members of his security team helped carry the purchases back to their vehicles.

When they finally stepped outside, the late afternoon sun was beginning to fade, casting shades of violet and orange across the Parisian sky.

Frederick glanced down at his fiancé. "Are you tired yet, sweetheart?"

Reynold shook his head enthusiastically. "Not yet, Daddy!"

"Alright, then. Let’s head to our last stop."

Their driver took them to the banks of the Seine, where a private luxury boat was waiting. The vessel was beautifully decorated with warm fairy lights and fresh white roses. Soft romantic music played as they stepped aboard, and a table had been arranged with chilled champagne, delicate French pastries, and a selection of artisanal snacks.

Once they were settled, the boat began gliding along the river. As evening gave way to night, Frederick stood behind Reynold at the railing, wrapping his arms around his waist and drawing him gently against his chest. The cool evening breeze drifted across the water, but Reynold barely noticed with Frederick holding him so close.

Together, they admired the illuminated landmarks along the river, from the Louvre to the magnificent bridges spanning the Seine. The city lights shimmered across the dark water, creating a beautiful reflection around them. They sipped their drinks, exchanged quiet conversations, and enjoyed the peaceful moments together.

By the time the cruise came to an end, night had settled over Paris. From the boat, they made their way to their final destination: a rooftop restaurant where Frederick had arranged a private dinner overlooking the illuminated city.

They were shown to their table. Frederick pulled out a chair for Reynold and waited for him to sit before taking the seat directly across from him. Just as they settled in, and before the waitstaff could bring out the special meal Frederick had pre-ordered, one of the servers approached carrying an enormous bouquet of red and white roses.

"These are for you, sir," the server said, presenting the flowers to Reynold.

Reynold’s eyes widened in surprise. "For me?" he asked, turning to look at Frederick.

Frederick smiled at him. "Go ahead, sweetheart. Accept them."

A bright smile spread across Reynold’s face as he accepted the beautiful bouquet. Tucked among the velvety petals was a small, elegant card. He carefully pulled it out and began reading the neat handwriting inside while Frederick watched him with a gentle smile:

To my dearest Reynold,

Today was beautiful because I got to spend every moment of it with you. But even the most beautiful places in the world could never compare to having you by my side.

You are my greatest happiness, my favorite person, and the love I want to wake up beside for the rest of my life. I can’t wait to give you a lifetime of beautiful days, unforgettable memories, and all the love your heart can hold.

Forever yours,

Frederick

Reynold read the card twice, his heart swelling with so much love that he felt it might burst. When he finally looked up, his eyes shimmered with happy tears.

"Thank you, Daddy... You’re truly the best man in the whole wide world. I love you so much."

"I love you too, baby," Frederick murmured warmly.

A short while later, the waitstaff began serving their dinner. Every dish was exquisite, and throughout the meal, Frederick enjoyed feeding Reynold little bites of food and dessert. He smiled whenever Reynold happily accepted them, clearly pleased by how much his fiancé was enjoying the evening.

"Eat more, baby. You’ve had a long day."

Reynold smiled at him and took another bite, enjoying the attention his fiancé was giving him.

They continued their dinner, sharing little conversations and affectionate smiles between bites.

By the time they finished dinner, they had enjoyed another wonderful evening together. Frederick rose from his seat and offered Reynold his hand, helping him up before they made their way out of the restaurant.

Their driver was already waiting in the private parking area, the rear door of the car held open for them.

Frederick was just about to let Reynold climb inside when a loud, unexpected voice rang out behind them.

"Reynold?!"

Reynold froze.

He turned at the sound of his name, his brows drawing together in confusion. He looked toward the person standing a few feet away.

It was Spencer.
