Chapter 67: Chapter 67: Someone Else Wants a Husband

A short while into the drive, Elisha’s phone buzzed.

He glanced at the screen, expecting another message about the wedding, but his expression changed when he saw the sender.

It was Vance.

Congratulations, Boss. I stayed quiet through all the rumors about you being gay, but now that it’s confirmed and you’re getting married to a man, I guess I finally have a chance. I still want you, Eli. I still want to be fucked by you.

Elisha’s expression hardened as he read the message. Anger and disgust washed over him, and for a moment, he wanted to show Henry exactly what Vance had sent him.

But he stopped himself.

There was no need to let Vance ruin their day. Elisha still needed him to handle the firm’s day-to-day operations until the wedding was over and he could return to the office. Once he was back, Vance would be the first person Elisha dealt with.

Henry noticed the change in his expression and turned toward him. "Are you okay, babe? You look tense."

Elisha quickly composed himself and gave him a small smile. I’m fine, pretty. I was just thinking about some wedding arrangements."

"You don’t have to worry too much, babe. This is all we need to do. Our parents will handle the rest, okay?" Henry said.

"Okay, pretty," Elisha replied. He gently lifted Henry’s chin and kissed him.

When they pulled apart, Henry leaned back against Elisha’s shoulder.

Elisha looked down at his phone again, his mind returning to Vance’s message. He locked the screen and slipped the phone back into his pocket, deciding to deal with him later.

When they arrived back at the estate, they headed upstairs to the master bedroom. Henry kicked off his shoes and climbed under the duvet, getting comfortable as Elisha lay down beside him and propped himself up on one elbow.

A few moments later, Henry’s phone buzzed on the nightstand. He reached over and picked it up.

A notification from Eloise appeared on the screen. Henry opened the message and smiled as he read it.

Congratulations, ex-boyfriend! Make sure you send me my invitation. I’ll definitely be there. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness!

Henry chuckled and quickly typed back.

Your invitation will get to you tomorrow.

Eloise replied almost immediately.

Alright, but I’m still heartbroken. How about buying me a drink tonight to make me feel better?

Henry shook his head with a grin and glanced at Elisha before replying.

I’m at my fiancé’s house right now, and he’s very possessive. He definitely won’t let me go out tonight.

I understand, Eloise replied. I hope he treats you well. But if he ever hurts you, just let me know. I’ll personally come and deal with him.

Henry laughed out loud.

Alright, I’ll keep that in mind.

Fine, bye. Still heartbroken! came her final reply.

Henry locked his phone and placed it back on the nightstand.

Elisha, who had been watching the exchange, raised an eyebrow.

"Who was that?"

"It was Eloise," Henry replied, settling back against the pillows. "She congratulated us and reminded me to make sure her wedding invitation gets sent to her."

"Alright," Elisha replied, relaxing.

Henry shifted closer and slipped under the duvet, resting his head against Elisha’s chest. Elisha wrapped an arm around him and gently rubbed his back.

They talked quietly for a while, going over the wedding details and their rings. As the conversation continued, Henry’s voice gradually became softer until he eventually fell asleep in Elisha’s arms.

Elisha stayed beside him, holding him close as he slept. He glanced at the digital clock on the bedside table. It was only 4:16 PM, so he decided to use the time to check in with Vanessa about the next day.

He picked up his phone and sent her a message.

Don’t forget about tomorrow. I need you to come as early as possible in the morning.

Vanessa replied a moment later.

Alright. Just text me once you’re awake and ready, and I’ll come over.

Okay, Elisha replied.

After the conversation, Elisha set his phone aside and settled back beside Henry. He had no intention of sleeping yet, so he stayed there quietly, watching over Henry as he slept. However, after lying there for a while, Elisha’s eyes gradually grew heavy, and he eventually drifted off.

Hours passed, and the afternoon slowly turned into evening.

When Elisha opened his eyes again, the room was dim. Henry had shifted during their sleep and was now lying with his back toward Elisha, curled comfortably beneath the covers.

A small smile crossed Elisha’s face. He leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss against Henry’s bare shoulder.

He checked his phone and saw that it was already dinner time. Before waking Henry, he decided to use the bathroom, so he carefully got out of bed and walked into the adjoining bathroom.

Once inside, he glanced at his phone again and noticed a new message from Vance.

Assuming it was something urgent concerning the company, Elisha opened it without thinking twice.

His expression changed instantly.

The messages had nothing to do with work. They were explicit photos and videos of Vance, completely naked and touching himself while calling Elisha’s name.

Elisha stared at the screen in disbelief and disgust. One of the photos came with a bold caption:

You might want to rethink your decision, Boss. Henry is boring. Why settle for him when you could have someone like me instead? I’m right here, and I know I can give you something much better.

Another photo followed, showing Vance’s exposed erection.

Anger rushed through Elisha. Without saving any of the files, he deleted the entire chat and immediately typed a reply.

Looking at your pathetic, disgusting body makes me want to vomit. You’re arrogant, shameless, and completely delusional if you think I would ever want someone like you. You have no respect for yourself or for me, and this behavior is beyond embarrassing. Consider this your final warning. If you ever send me anything like this again, I will make sure you regret ignoring it. Do not contact me about anything that isn’t directly related to the company.

Vance replied almost immediately.

Oh, come on, Boss. You really think those insults are going to scare me away? You can call me shameless, arrogant, or whatever else you want, but I know you’re still thinking about me. And honestly, I don’t care how angry you are right now. I’m not giving up that easily.

Elisha stared at the message for a moment before typing his final reply.

I have nothing more to say to you. I’ve made myself clear, and I’m not going to continue this conversation. From now on, if you need anything concerning the company, contact Sarah. She’ll pass the message along to me if it’s actually important. I’m blocking you now.

Before Vance could reply, Elisha blocked him.

He stood in the bathroom, staring at his phone as he tried to calm himself.

How dare he?

"Elisha?"

The sound of Henry’s sleepy voice made him turn around.

Henry was standing in the bedroom doorway, rubbing his eyes as he looked at him with concern.

"Why are you just standing there?" Henry asked sleepily. "Is everything okay?"

Elisha quickly pulled himself together and relaxed his expression. "I’m—I’m fine, pretty. Just... trying to use the bathroom."

Henry gave him a slightly puzzled look but accepted the explanation. "Alright. Hurry up. I’m hungry."

"I will," Elisha replied.

He watched Henry walk away before turning back to his phone. He took a slow breath and stayed in the bathroom for a few minutes, trying to put Vance’s messages out of his mind. Once he had calmed down, he slipped his phone into his pocket and followed Henry back into the bedroom.

Meanwhile, Raphael sat by the large floor-to-ceiling window in his private suite, still thinking about Elisha and Henry’s unexpected wedding announcement.

Their decision had caught him off guard. Seeing them take such a big step made him realize that he was ready to settle down too. He picked up his phone, unlocked it, and opened his chat with Frank.

A small smile crossed his face as he typed:

Sweetheart, what does it take to claim you as my husband? I’m ready to settle down.
