[BL] After SSS-rank mage reborn as the Legendary Craftsman
Chapter 110: The Potion Thirst of the Hunters
Early in the morning a week later, all the hunters in Dong-San city were shaken at once.
A small shop on a street that was originally not very prominent had put up a sign announcing that Potions were available for sale.
Each hunter could only buy a maximum of three bottles, one of each type. The rule sounded harsh, but no one complained, because this was the only shop in the city that still had Potions available for sale.
The line quickly stretched from in front of the shop all the way out to the street.
Kim Sora was so busy that she barely had time to breathe. She took care of customers, checked the quantity of Potions, and occasionally had to loudly remind impatient hunters not to push.
"Please line up! Each person can only buy three bottles!"
"You cannot take two bottles of the same type!"
"Please stay calm, everyone will get a share!"
But few people were truly calm.
The hunters’ eyes were fixed on the Potions neatly arranged behind the counter. Some kept looking at their watches, some kept turning their heads to observe the line behind them, as if afraid that if they were even a little slower, the Potions would be bought up by others.
Kei stood inside the shop’s storage room, continuously taking Potions out of his ring’s space and placing them on the counter.
At first he could still leisurely arrange each type.
But before long, the selling speed had far exceeded his expectations.
Healing Potion and Energy Potion were the two types that ran out fastest. By noon, the bright red and blue Potions had been completely bought out.
After that, the hunters began dividing up the remaining support buff Potions and effect resistance Potions.
Some people who could not buy Healing Potion could only regretfully choose other types of Potions. Those who came later did not even have anything left to choose from, and could only stand in front of the empty shelf with disappointed expressions.
Before sunset, all the Potions in the shop had been cleaned out by the hunters.
"It’s all gone?"
A hunter standing at the end of the line looked inside with an expression of disbelief.
Kim Sora bowed her head apologetically.
"Sorry, today they really are all sold out. Tomorrow the shop will continue to restock."
The hunters immediately began chattering.
"Tomorrow I definitely have to come earlier."
"I wonder if there will be enough tomorrow..."
Sighs rang out outside the shop. Some hunters reluctantly left, while those who had managed to buy Potions carefully put them away in their bags, as if protecting the most precious items in the world.
Kei stood by the window, watching the crowd gradually disperse.
He was silent for a long time.
In just one day, all the Potions had been bought out, and that was the entire stock of Potions he had brewed over the past week without rest.
If his shop sold out no matter how much he had, then just how great was the demand for Potions in Dong-San city?
Kei slowly frowned.
Perhaps the condition of the Dungeons really had become more critical than he thought.
If everything were normal, hunters would not need to fight over every bottle of Potion like this.
"Kei?" Kim Sora spoke up.
Kei turned his head.
"I’ll leave the rest to you. I will start brewing Potions to sell tomorrow."
"Okay, leave it to me."
Kim Sora nodded, then watched Kei’s back as he went into the Potion crafting area on the second floor.
Kei quickly took out the materials, Blood Leaf, energy stone powder, purified water, and carefully processed alchemy equipment.
His hands began to move.
Each Blood Leaf was crushed, extracted, filtered of impurities, and then mixed with the energy solution. Kei concentrated intensely, not letting himself be distracted by the noise outside the shop.
While working, he kept thinking about the current situation.
Monsters possessing powerful control effects were actually very common in Kei’s old world.
Poison, curses, paralysis, confusion, weakening... such negative statuses were nothing unfamiliar to the teams that had once fought alongside him.
But the teams in Kei’s old world did not need to rely on Potions so heavily, because every team had a Priest or a Mage. The priest can use healing and purification magic. The mage can also use support magic to remove toxins, restore stamina, or eliminate negative effects.
As long as there is at least one person dedicated to support, the party can handle most of the bad status effects caused by monsters.
But hunter parties in Korea are quite lacking in pure Healers.
They may possess incredible combat power, but when injured or affected by crowd control effects, most can only rely on Potions.
Kei stopped his hand.
A name suddenly appeared in his mind.
Hanna.
The timid girl he once met in Dong-San city and who had now left with the Black Rose Guild. A rare rank F Healer with pure healing abilities.
Kei took out his phone.
He opened his contacts, found Hanna’s number, and stared at the screen for a long time.
Hanna could heal others, but her abilities were still too weak. If she could learn other healing methods, perhaps she would be able to help a great many people.
If Kei wanted to investigate the capabilities of a Healer, then Hanna was a very good subject.
Moreover, if the shop had a Healer to cooperate with, the Potion issue would no longer be the only solution for saving injured hunters.
Kei thought for a moment and then began typing a message.
"Hanna, are you free lately? I have something I want to talk to you about."
He looked over the line once more, then pressed the send button.
The message quickly disappeared from the screen.
Kei set the phone aside and continued crafting Potions.
Outside, Kim Sora was still answering the hunters’ questions about tomorrow’s opening hours.
Although the Potions selling well was a good thing, Kei still hoped the hunters could have other, better methods instead of relying on Potions, because Kei alone could not possibly meet their demand.
A different, more perfect method was needed!
