Do Ae Young carefully asked:

"So what is Guild Angel’s Kiss’s mission today?"

Irumi closed her eyes in pain.

"According to the schedule, today Kang Mi So has to lead the core forces to clear an SS+ rank Dungeon."

She opened her eyes, her expression almost on the verge of going insane.

"But our guild master still hasn’t come back."

The hall fell silent.

Moon So Yeon and Do Ae Young looked at each other.

At first, they had still thought Kang Mi So was a fairly obedient guild master. After all, she rarely appeared directly to compete for protected territories, and her attitude toward other Guilds had always been amiable.

Unexpectedly, behind that goddess-like beautiful appearance was someone who could sleep in for ten days just because she didn’t want to work.

"Can she really sleep that long?" Moon So Yeon asked.

"She can." Irumi gritted her teeth. "If we don’t find her before tonight, I will drag her out myself from wherever she is hiding."

"But she could be anywhere in the world." Do Ae Young said.

"That’s exactly why I’m angry!"

Irumi planted her staff on the floor, her face full of dissatisfaction.

"There is a guild master who possesses unlimited clone ability but refuses to use that ability to work. Do you understand what it feels like to manage someone like that?"

Moon So Yeon and Do Ae Young looked at each other again, and both fell silent.

Because they also had guild masters who were very difficult to manage.

Kang Ian of Guild Crying Ghost frequently found ways to slack off and wander everywhere, and lately Moon So Yeon did not even know where he was. As for Kai of Guild Black Dragon, he had once transformed into a black dragon and destroyed nearly half the city just because he was provoked by memories inside a Dungeon.

Compared to those two, a guild master who only slept for ten days did not seem all that bad.

"Actually..." Do Ae Young slowly spoke up. "If she only sleeps, then it may not necessarily be the biggest problem."

"Don’t comfort me that way." Irumi replied coldly.

The three female Hunters standing in the middle of the newly built hall began telling each other about the troublesome things their guild masters had caused.

No one noticed the figure that had just swept past behind them.

A beautiful girl with golden hair slowly walked past the entrance of the hall.

She had golden eyes as clear as crystal, and a face so holy that it made it hard for others to look away.

Yet all three people who were talking seemed completely unable to see her.

The girl paused for a moment.

Her golden eyes lightly glanced backward.

Moon So Yeon was still frowning as she talked about the times Kang Ian dozed off during meetings. Do Ae Young shook her head while complaining about Kai demanding to use gold to decorate the entire hallway. Irumi beside them kept cursing Kang Mi So as an irresponsible guild master.

The girl heard all of it, then raised a hand to cover her mouth and quietly stifled a laugh.

No one noticed that smile.

She continued walking forward, her steps light and cheerful, as if she were taking a stroll in a familiar place.

Only when she left the building did she slightly tilt her head and look back.

Her clear golden eyes reflected the daylight, and the smile on her lips became even sweeter.

"Dong-San City, how interesting."

That evening, Kei and Sora’s shop became quiet again.

After finishing their meal, Kei sat at one end of the table, drinking tea while flipping through a basic natural science knowledge book. Kim Sora sat opposite him, hand propping up her chin, her gaze continuously sneaking glances toward him.

She had been holding it in since Kei brought Kang Narim back to the shop.

She held it in while watching the two of them talk as they walked, while hearing Kei say that Narim was a newly made classmate, and she even held it in when she remembered that Kei had once been intimate with Kai, and then was kissed by Kang Ian right inside the storage room.

In the end, Kim Sora could not hold it in any longer.

"Kei..."

"Yeah?"

"So do you like men or women?"

Kei, who was drinking tea, immediately froze.

He looked up and stared at Kim Sora with a blank expression. A few seconds later, Kei could not help but burst out laughing.

"Why are you asking such a silly question?"

Kim Sora immediately sat up straight and complained:

"How is it silly? You suddenly got intimate with the black dragon Kai,"then got kissed by Kang Ian again. Doesn’t that mean you have feelings for men?"

"Cough!"

Kei choked on his tea.

His face quickly turned red. Kei set the teacup down on the table, coughed softly, then turned his face away.

"It was just a little physical contact. It was an accident, an accident!"

His voice grew noticeably softer.

"You can’t assume I like men because of that."

Kim Sora narrowed her eyes.

"Is that really true!?"

"Yes."

Kei answered too quickly, making Sora even more suspicious. She placed both hands on the table, leaned forward, and stared intently at Kei.

"Then what about the blonde girl from today?"

"Kang Narim?"

"Right. Who is she?"

Kei was briefly taken aback, then replied:

"She’s just a new friend I recently met, I already told you. She’s in the same supplementary class as me, and today she even helped me understand a lot more material."

Kei spoke very naturally, completely unaware that Kim Sora’s expression was growing stranger by the moment.

Sora silently looked at him.

She had only wanted to ask a few questions to satisfy her curiosity, but for some reason an inexplicable feeling of discomfort arose in her heart.

Especially when Kei mentioned Kang Narim in such a calm tone. Instinctively, Kim Sora felt that Kang Narim had appeared too suddenly, not normal at all!

"So just a new friend..."

Sora murmured, then lowered her head and continued eating her now-cold dessert. Kei looked at her for a moment, not understanding why she had suddenly gone quiet.

"Do you have anything else you want to ask?"

"No."

Kim Sora answered immediately.

"I was just asking out of curiosity."

Kei nodded, then lowered his head to read again. But the atmosphere in the shop was no longer as natural as before.

That night, Kim Sora lay on her bed, eyes wide open staring at the ceiling.

She turned to her left, then turned to her right.

Every time her small hand was about to touch the phone placed by her pillow, her mind suddenly went blank.

She suddenly couldn’t remember what she was about to do.

Just a few seconds later, Sora dropped her hand again, frowning as she looked up at the ceiling.

"What was I just about to do?"

She murmured, but no one answered.

The image of Kei walking together with Kang Narim kept repeating in her mind. The blonde girl’s smile, her gentle voice, the way she naturally stood beside Kei... all of it made Kim Sora feel restless for no clear reason.

Sora pulled the blanket over her head.

But the strange feeling in her heart still didn’t disappear.

She tossed and turned all night, never able to understand what exactly was bothering her.

Kang Narim... why did she seem so strange?
