"Cherish your final moments!"

"The Emperor’s holy judgment is unavoidable! Irresistible!"

Amidst the endless roar of fury, Johnny watched in defeat as his enchanted masterwork longsword was effortlessly gripped by the steel thorn hand armor of the four-meter tall heavy armor warrior.

Once, the surging Seed of Power granted Johnny invincibility and inexhaustible energy. The longsword that was once sharp and unstoppable, and the knight’s armor that was unbreakable were his most loyal companions.

But now, Johnny wasn’t betrayed by his companions, yet he felt like a young boy facing beasts alone.

The fearsome warrior’s dragon-faced helmet’s crimson crystal eyes shone with merciless indifference, looking down at Johnny, an advanced knight whose height only reached the warrior’s chest plate, granting Johnny his last breaths.

Then, with a gentle twist, the terrifying steel thorn hand armor broke Johnny’s treasured sword, which had been rewarded to him upon his promotion to advanced knight.

As the massive hand armor knocked his helmet off and clenched his head in that fleeting instant, Johnny’s mind flashed with scenes of his life like a lantern slideshow.

As a boy, when Johnny underwent knight training, he always felt time passed agonizingly slowly. He eagerly anticipated the next holiday, every reunion and time of joy with his companions.

The adults always told Johnny that time was like a running river, gone forever once it’s past.

His sister, who had ’willingly’ become a mistress to the great knight, also told him life only spans several decades, that ten years pass in a blink, and youth escapes in a moment of distraction!

She couldn’t possess her own time, but she hoped her brother could have his own precious experiences.

Back then, Johnny always dismissed such words; he was a spirited squire with endless time and a bright future ahead.

Even the heartache he felt at his sister’s death, or the vengeful satisfaction from defeating the elderly great knight who killed her, didn’t awaken him to life’s truths.

But now Johnny finally understood the meaningful words those adults once spoke with earnest.

He recalled those ordinary people struggling under the nobility’s rule, troubled by life and fighting to stay above the poverty line; he had once been one of them too.

"Perhaps after a busy day, when ordinary people sit down to rest, they reminisce about being wearied by life as well!"

"Life is so short, truly. In the blink of an eye, my life has reached its end," Johnny suddenly felt a regretful relief.

"Perhaps when the sky looming over all ordinary people changes color, this world might become somewhat different! Who can escape the wilderness of time, as even the nobility cannot escape the wrath of the True Dragon Emperor!"

As Johnny’s neck was snapped by the towering Imperial Guard warrior, his last thought shattered along with his life, falling into the void.

Johnny was neither the first nor the last among the hundreds of thousands of warriors in the noble corps.

These noble corps warriors only now realized how fragile and weak the weapons they once relied on were; their thrusts with all their might were as laughable as an antelope on the steppe trying to challenge tigers and lions with its horns.

Even the blows from fine swords couldn’t make the Golden Empire’s Imperial Guard warriors consider dodging, as these noble corps warriors on sections of the walls outnumbered them yet found themselves on the defensive.

With Mountain Steel as the heavy magic armor’s outer defensive shell, and a layer of magic alloy inside to protect the energy pathways of this ’Achilles’ model heavy magic armor.

And inside the third layer, the magic core energy source for each warrior’s heavy armor tailored by the master craftsmen of the Golden Empire’s military industry.

Under the third layer’s flexible alloy inner armor protection, the Imperial Guards also wore the closest protective undergarments.

These inner protective garments were made from woven silk of various magical creatures, like the threads spun by the Yite Monsters and giant magical spiders once incorporated into the Empire’s industry by the Giant Demon Fafnir.

After magical stabilization, not only did they offer sufficient protection, sweat wicking, and temperature control, but they also had extremely high extendibility for magical power and the Power of Heart Energy, almost not affecting or diminishing the transmission of force.

With such layered protection, standard fine weaponry could hardly penetrate these guards’ heavy armor; only finely enchanted weapons could cause any minor inconvenience to the Imperial Guard warriors.

This led to the chaos where the Imperial Golden Guards rampaged along the Dorabi City Wall, attacking without defense.

Not only were the Golden Guards themselves incredibly physically strong, but with the enhancement of heavy magic armor, each Imperial Guard warrior was comparable to the Holy Sanctuary Warriors the nobility meticulously groomed and recruited.

Yet, the destructive power of the Imperial Guard warriors was much stronger than those Holy Sanctuary Warriors.

The Holy Sanctuary Warriors often served as senior commanders of the noble corps, holding the esteemed status of a great knight or minor noble.

Though Holy Sanctuary Warriors couldn’t, like Legends, oppose an entire legion alone, they were a potent spearhead in legion battles, especially mighty when paired with their Personal Guard.
