Chapter 4620 - You Are You

Tianming was completely clueless about the Realm of Worldgazing, so he needed guides that he could absolutely trust. Who knew what kind of danger existed out there which would catch him off guard and get him killed immediately? The Sourcepath Shackles alone weren't enough to guarantee their trustworthiness.

"Your suggestion is decent," Tianming said to Huang Qi. "I'll refine your bodies and seal your souls into the Grand-Orient Sword, one on the top side and the other on the bottom side. Every time I run into something, I'll ask you both the same question. It'll be clear which one of you is lying. Once I find out, I'll eliminate the liar immediately!"

Huang Qi and Mo Si's expressions paled. They didn't think that Tianming would be so harsh about it. Alas, they were completely at his mercy and had no right to pick and choose. Just like this, their fates had been decided.

The god-refining power on the Grand-Orient Sword swirled around the two Aeternal Beings in a controlled manner, refining their physical bodies away. The Worldgazing God-Refining Art also had a part that dealt with soul extraction. Tianming could've used it earlier on, but simply hadn't seen the need to, so Shen Wu, Jie Ba, Dao San and Huang Liu's souls were completely gone. He used the very same technique to seal Huang Qi and Mo Si's souls into the Grand-Orient Sword, one on each side of the blade.

There were many things in the infinitely vast Realm of Worldgazing, so it would be really hard for them to independently corroborate each other's lies when things got too complicated.

Naturally, that didn't mean that Tianming would automatically trust the two of them. "Since they've already been refined into souls, there'll be no way for them to reach out to their main bodies."

Tianming still found it rather shocking that the projections had developed personalities and goals that were completely detached from those of their main bodies. The fact that this was possible at all showed just truly how powerful and complex the kind of entities their main bodies were.

"As expected of the pursuers of the sky plunderers." Tianming shook his head without overthinking it. Eventually, the souls of Huang Qi and Mo Si were fully extracted and sealed into the Grand-Orient Sword. Tianming would be able to talk to them as he pleased, while their physical bodies' powers were refined into a different form, joining the other runes on the sword. Huang Qi's rune was a single compound eye shaped like a hive. Mo Si's were four long pitch-black spears.

"Tai Er is dead while we have numbers three to eight in the sword. Tian Jiu became one of us. All that remains is Di Yi, but I have no idea where he is."

Tianming was somewhat worried about Lingfeng, who had sent no word even after the battles in the Realms of Chaos and Order were over. Even though it wasn't likely that Di Yi alone would be able to whip up much chaos, Tianming was still worried about his friend who hadn't returned for quite some time.

Fortunately, Feiling did survive her Nirvana Tribulation, and that alone came at great relief to Tianming. He really wanted to see her as soon as possible no matter how she currently felt about him.

He turned to Qingyu and asked, "Did Feng send any word at all?"

Qingyu shook her head and sighed. The look in her eyes was all the answer he needed.

"Don't worry. I have eyes all across the universe. The moment there's a sign, I'll know immediately. You must be worn out caring for my child this whole time. Take a break," Tianming consoled.

Qingyu showed a helpless laugh. "Big Brother, you should worry more about yourself. Don't do things that will make your wife angry and end up having make up for it."

"Hey, lay off on the romance novels, kid. Real life isn't as simple as those made-up stories."

"I'm already a few centuries old. Do you still think that we're children? How embarrassing."

Tianming was quite happy to have a sister like Qingyu. He consoled her a little more before leaving with the rest.

Wudi bid him farewell as well. "Tianming, my son, I will go back to cultivating hard! Those animals came a little too soon this time around. Had they waited for me to finish mastering that sword strike, we wouldn't have had to rely on your wife!"

Tianming could tell that he was anxious to make progress. He didn't bother to show off his own and immediately waved him off to do his training.

Before Wudi left, he chuckled and said, "The Flameyellow Imperial Star might be fine now, but the Tianming Dynasty itself is in quite a mess. I'll leave it in the hands of your other two wives!"

Tianming knew that he was referring to Jiguang and Suishen Yao. Fortunately, they were there to hold the fort and manage the empire in his stead. Management was hardly his strong suit, and thanks to them, he could focus on his other affairs and rest assured that the empire would be fine.

"Little Fish, Zi Zhen, thanks a lot for the help," he said to the other two, one on each side. They seemed to have something on their minds, worried both for Tianming and themselves.

Tianming gave Zi Zhen a deep hug before leaving. I recall that Jie Ba called Zi Zhen a member of the violetblood race. Does her bloodline have something to do with the Realm of Worldgazing?

With how the Realm of Worldgazing was coming ever closer upon them, Tianming could see how nervous Zi Zhen was.

Then, there was Moran, who walked slowly across the palace halls and pulled her ink-green dress gracefully with her. Her exquisitely beautiful brow was furrowed with worry.

"Little Fish, what's on your mind?" Tianming couldn't help but ask.

After a short moment of silent pondering, Moran said, "The Aeternal Beings from Numbers One to Eight are all projections from the Realm of Worldgazing, but what about me?"

Tianming's gaze was firm. "Little Fish, they are Number Monsters, but you're not. You've already surpassed Tian Jiu! The real Tian Jiu is long gone. Her heart was completely destroyed by Shen Wu, did you forget? You are just you!"

Moran smiled and nodded, holding his hand tightly. "Yeah!"
