Chapter 4592 - Incoming Final Battle

Tianming snuck up behind Zi Zhen while still in stealth and hugged her.

She chuckled and said, "Tianming? Are you trying to spook me?"

Tianming reappeared, stunned. "How did you know it was me?"

She pouted and said, "Did you think I had no situational awareness at all during my breakthrough? I perceived you as you entered stealth."

Tianming felt a little awkward. "I thought that you would immediately transform to resist..."

"You're such a child..."

"Hey, I'm only a few centuries old! To primocosmic gods, I might as well be a child." He hugged her intimately. "By the way, what level did you break through to?"

"The twelfth."

Tianming was stunned. A primocosmic god of the twelfth level was likely the limit any lifeform could reach within the universe of the Primordial God-Emperor. Nobody knew what lay beyond it. No imperator had reached those heights either. As for the Aeternal Beings' projections, they had always been of rather questionable level.

We'll only figure this out after we deal with the Number Monsters and go to the Realm of Worldgazing or hatch Ninth at the Minor Chaos Dock. Tianming shelved his thoughts and marveled at Zi Zhen, who had broken through twice in a row. Thanks to her mysterious specter bloodline, she was able to break through easily once the right conditions were achieved. This time was no different.

The last time I broke through twice in a row was thanks to omnisentient power. If I were to use dazzling radiances, it'd still take me a long time for one level. Tianming sighed at the stark difference of their growth rates. Fortunately, Zi Zhen was on his side.

"Do you feel anything special after reaching the peak of primocosmic godhood? Did you learn how to break through to the next stage?"

Zi Zhen shook her head. "Not for the moment. It's all too hazy."

Tianming nodded and stopped asking questions. Instead, he tried to sense her power. No doubt, if Zi Zhen were to open enough of her ninehall eyes, she'd be able to rival Moran in power even after she had assimilated almost all wonderians. The fact that Zi Zhen could fight her powerful wonders with her physical body alone showed how terrifying her bloodline was.

Zi Zhen, Little Fish and Godfather all soared in power. I can't fall behind! With Zi Zhen and Moran capable of holding the fort, I should be able to immerse myself in training within the Flameyellow Cemetery without any worries.

Right before Tianming left for training, Qingyu rushed into the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb to look for him, seeming rather panicked.

"What's wrong, Qingyu? Did something happen?"

"Come quickly!" she said frantically. "It's your daughter..."

Tianming instantly burst out of the room.

Along the way, Qingyu anxiously said, "Well, it's not a big deal, but she seems rather unnerved and keeps zipping around. Also, since you went back to the Realm of Chaos, Feng stopped appearing. I'm not able to reach him, so I'm slightly worried."

"Alright, stop worrying. I'll take a look."

Soon, they reached the palace and immediately saw a golden radiance jump around within, slamming haphazardly into things. It was none other than the gold crystal star.

"See? I don't know what's going on but she's been doing this nonstop. She's always been rather calm, but nothing I say to her can calm her down."

Tianming immediately thought of something. "Did something happen to Ling'er?"

Both the daughter and the mother who birthed her were stars, so Tianming's mind immediately went to Feiling. "Watch her for now. I'll come back right away."

Tianming immediately went back to the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb and rapidly steered the Sun back to the star in the Primordial Sands. When he arrived, he could feel the golden star's energy and noted that it was much more bountiful than before. Fortunately, there didn't seem to be any danger, so Tianming sighed in relief.

He returned to the palace and found that the little golden crystal star had also calmed down, resting quietly in Qingyu's bosom. "Ling'er was probably in a tough spot earlier, but she seems fine now."

Qingyu, Zi Zhen and Moran were all relieved when they heard Tianming's explanation.

Moran pursed her lips and said, "Fortunately, it's not the Number Monsters."

Zi Zhen's expression, however, was somewhat gloomy. "Tianming, will the Number Monsters try to come after Ling'er?"

Tianming nodded. "Most likely. I don't think there's anything they can do to us apart from targeting her. Only four remain on their side. I believe they'll resort to all sorts of dirty tricks to take me away from here. Not to mention, Qingyu just said that Feng hadn't shown up for quite a while. There's no way for us to contact him either. Maybe he entered another slump in his fight against Di Yi. He might even have the disadvantage."

Their mood turned solemn at the mention of Lingfeng.

Then, Wudi came and patted Tianming on the shoulder. "Don't worry. Maybe he's about to triumph and is just too occupied to come to see us. From what we know, he's fighting on rather even ground against Di Yi, so nothing bad will happen to him that easily."

Qingyu sighed. "Either way, it's still not a guarantee..."

Tianming consoled her, "Don't worry, Qingyu. He's had long periods of silence before too, only to end up returning unharmed. The final battle against the Number Monsters is upon us. Feng will definitely show up by then, whether he or Di Yi has the upper hand."

Qingyu nodded. There was no way Lingfeng wouldn't come to their aid during the final conflict. Di Yi wouldn't ignore Tianming either and would definitely join up with the other Number Monsters. Either way, the day they would see Lingfeng again wasn't far off.

With that dealt with, Tianming left the Sun and came to Feiling's star alone. He could tell that the pink prison that kept the golden star sealed was already crumbling away. The star's energy pulsed with great power. Feiling had reached the final juncture.
