Chapter 470: Chapter 470: Creation Lightning

" I need you two to stay close to me, my position will be more fortified, I won’t be able to protect you myself.

But the others should protect you in my stead, make sure you never leave Flamel’s side."

Ved and Linglong nodded, they understood that as well, Ved got a bit worried about Naledi.

It sounded like the upcoming battle was going to be harder than he initially thought and she was most likely going to be in the frontlines.

" What about the humans, where will their positions be?" He asked Anglomesh but the massive dragon shrugged.

A fox appeared in front of them, " Young master, I was the one to design the battle strategy.

Humans are untrustworthy, they’ve been assigned to the front lines, of course to not cause dissatisfaction we’ve assigned a slightly higher number of our own on the frontlines as well."

Ved understood the logic behind that, if humans or other races were assigned to the most dangerous parts of the battlefield while spiritual beasts remain at the back.

That would naturally cause discord between them, plus the spiritual beasts had the capabilities to do this.

Spiritual beasts existed everywhere, they might not outnumber other races within a region but overall, they far outnumbered every race individually.

" Alright, it’s almost time, step back." Anglomesh told everybody and they all retreated.

Anglomesh and the other old sovereigns had seen the tribulations of Godhood and knew how devastating it was.

Normally this would be done outside the universe in the void between universes so as to not destroy the entire universe.

But they didn’t have the liberty to do that, fighting void beings within the void was beyond just suicide.

Ved wondered what the plan was, then 20 Sovereigns surrounded Anglomesh forming a barrier tens of thousands of kilometres wide.

" Rise!" They all shouted as one and a massive barrier formed of runes materialised around Anglomesh.

" Space runes." Ved found himself whispering under his breath. He has seen runes before.

Naledi had learnt another path called the path of magi from the first universe they merged with Pangera.

This path used runes to draw power from the heavens, it didn’t strengthen the user like the vessel path does.

But it was more straightforward and a quick way to strength, unfortunately on higher levels it was weaker.

Runes cannot be compared to laws or so he once believed but looking at these, he realised that was simply because their knowledge of runes was shallow.

The barrier formed a separate worlds isolating Anglomesh from the universe itself which was an impressive feat.

Then his power climbed rapidly, Ved couldn’t feel it but he could see the clouds gathering above.

Their aura isolated from the universe yet they were just as imposing, he found himself gulping.

A massive shadow appeared next to him and Linglong. " Yoh little bro, how’ve you been."

He heard a feminine yet childish voice, next to him floated a massive blue whale like creature whose size dwarfed even his.

" Ursela, how are you doing?" Ved asked softly, it’s been years since he last saw her as well.

" Yeah, I’ve been hanging out with master, it’s been gre.. great, yeah great." She sounded nervous.

Ved felt a huge pressure land on him, he looked up and saw a gigantic kun staring down at them.

Then he sensed Ursela’s aura and realised she was now a mythical grade kun and Linglong was also a mythical grade dragon.

He couldn’t help but smile, he was glad his friends were growing stronger, being weak in these times was a dangerous thing.

Plus their levels were both at 7 now, level 7 of comprehension realm for mythical grade descendants of divine beasts.

Their combat power most definitely rivals that of normal peak stage comprehension realm experts.

This gave him more assurance that they could defend themselves. Time passed and more clouds gathered in the sky.

A sea of dark clouds formed, it stretched for thousands of kilometres and was still expanding without an end in sight.

After what felt like forever, a huge eye appeared in the sky, the pure white eye looked down at Anglomesh.

Then it expanded as if trying to see into his very soul, as soon as Ved saw that eye he gulped because it reminded him of something.

The white eye gave off the aura of creation, he knew this most definitely was the eye of heaven.

Nothing besides him can use the laws of creation, he said this not out of arrogance but certainty.

Which meant the heavens would be personally seeing to this tribulation, it wasn’t the first time this happened.

He didn’t know about others but he had seen the eye of heaven one when it was trying to wipe him out.

Fortunately he managed to get through that tribulation and grew stronger instead, Ved had a feeling the heavens hated him.

So as soon as he saw that eye he tried to hide but it turned towards him, lightning flickered on its pupil.

" Warning warning, the heavens have detected you, you’ve been deemed an anomaly, prepare for the extermination process."

The eye started changing colour from white to black but before anything else could happen the aura of creation appeared around him.

Ved felt his origin blood bubbling and the heavenly eye calmed itself, the rage it had melted like snow on fire.

It was replaced by a gentle expression like a mother watching her own child, then it turned towards Anglomesh.

The gentleness it had disappeared, or most of it at least but Ved saw a glimmer of care behind that cold eye.

A hidden memory seemed to surface inside him, a memory of a woman with half white half black hair.

The woman seemed to be watching him with gently eyes, one eye pitch black and the other pure white.

However her facial features were blurry, besides the hair and eyes he couldn’t make out anything else.

Ved shook his head, he didn’t know who that woman was but there was another memory that seemed to blend in with this one.

’ The seer.’ he thought to himself, he couldn’t tell why he remembered the deer but she seemed similar to the blurry figure in his memory, somehow.

" It’s starting." Linglong brought him out of his thoughts. Lightning gathered in the sky above.

It was not silver like the fourth order extinguishing tribulation lightning he and White can use.

It was pure white, it was the sixth order extinguishing tribulation lightning, the lightning of creation.

The lightning did not fall like a spear as one would expect, instead, the bolt turned into a massive beast.

Ved did not recognise this beast but one thing he was certain of, it was as real as he was.

" By Gaia’s heavy breasts is this what creation can do?"

--------------------------------------

Somewhere in the fallen universe floating in the void, a massive eye opened wide like a burning star.
