" Who’s this?" Ved asked looking at the woman he found in his house.

" Oh, that’s Adelei, master sent her to work here for some reason, don’t mind her." Answered Naledi.

" I’m not here to merely work for you my lady, I’m also assigned to protect you." Said Adelei.

Ved and Naledi gave her strange looks, no matter how hard they looked, she was merely a manifestation realm expert.

How was she supposed to protect Naledi? But they didn’t say anything and let her believe whatever she wanted.

Ved took his human form and they went inside, Adelei delivered them food, after eating they took a shower together.

Then went into it, they hadn’t seen each other for three years and had a lot of pent up stress.

Their session lasted days, when they came out they found an irritated Adelei cleaning the house.

" My lady, when you’re...having your time, please do try to keep your voice down, we’ve heard many complains."

Naledi’s face turned red from embarrassment, she looked at Ved for support.

" You were a bit too loud." Ved smirked and walked out, she followed after him, as soon as they got out she felt eyes on her.

Cat took a large gulp from her alcohol gourd then grinned, " Damn girl, I wonder how you can even walk."

Her mother hit her on the back of her head, " Quiet you, but sweetie, you do need to keep it down a little."

Naledi felt like burying her head in the ground and just disappear, then she remembered she could teleport.

Before anybody else could say anything which she could see they were about to, she disappeared.

They looked at the only remaining participants which was Ved, he shrugged, " What do you want me to say, it’s not my fault I’m good."

He turned into his dragon form again and flew off leaving a group of embarrassed women.

" He’s quite shameless isn’t he?" Cathra asked with a soft smile. Ved found Naledi and they spent more time together.

Just like that, days went by then they turned into months and the day finally came, Fenral and Elena came to fetch them.

Naledi and Ved already knew they would be separated in this battle, each having to fight on a different battlefield.

The reason given was that they needed to cover as much ground as possible and defend all positions.

But the actual reason was that there was still a bit of distrust, Azion Lightblare was a jealous and vindictive man.

His hatred and disregard for spiritual beasts was too high, they had doubt he might try to sabotage everything.

" That doesn’t make sense, wouldn’t doing that just damage him as well?" Ved asked Fenral.

" Indeed but you do now know that man, he is too self absorbed and believes everything should belong to humans.

As the strongest human naturally he believes everything belongs to him, of course that might change soon."

Ved got more confused, " Is that why humans and beasts are fighting on different fronts? Also what do you mean that might change soon?"

Fenral explained, " On the first point, yes, we don’t know who works for him so we’re not taking any chances.

The defensive wall closest to Anglomesh will be formed solely by spiritual beasts and the other races will take the outer walls.

As for the second point, it’s related to your partner, just as you are the inheritor of the old beast king she’s the inheritor of the winter empress.

In case you don’t know who that is, she’s a human who lived in the same era as the ancient beast king.

She’s the one who created and gave humans the vessel path allowing them to rise up from the bottom of the food chain."

" Strange, the treatment the humans are giving her seems very different from the one I get from spiritual beasts." Said Ved in a confused voice.

Fenral seemed to grin, " That’s right, that’s also because of Azion, do you think a man so obsessed with power would just give it up to a child.

If she was stronger than him then things would be different but as things stand, he would rather kill her than give up his power.

It’s why lady Elena took her as her student, it wasn’t just to train her but to protect her as well.

Initially the plan was to hide her from Azion which was easy, to others she appeared as merely another divine grade human.

And since Azion Lightblare never leaves his palace, chances of discovering her were low, unfortunately Elena miscalculated.

Azion did leave his palace and he did discover her, as soon as you left for the mountains.

Elena came to take your partner because she had discovered Azion had sent his people after her.

Like I said though, that’s about to change soon, after this, Azion will not dare try to touch her."

Ved nodded, he didn’t fully understand anything but if whatever he’s talking about will keep Naledi safe, then he’ll gladly welcome it.

They flew through multiple universal gates and finally reached the first universe, Ved immediately detected the difference between this universe and Pangera.

It was more complete, far more complete and the laws were barely cut let alone fragmented like in Pangera.

" No wonder this universe can give birth to a Demigod, the laws are much more complete here." Said Ved.

Fenral nodded, " Indeed, it’s also the only one that can withstand what’s about to happen."

They arrived at the spot above an ocean, Anglomesh was already there surrounded by other spiritual beasts.

Flamel floated above them gently flapping her giant wings, she saw Ved and nodded with kind eyes.

Ved nodded back then turned towards the giant golden dragon, next to Anglomesh he saw an old friend.

" Linglong!" Ved shouted, the storm dragon turned towards him. She smiled and happily flew at him.

Before Ved could stop her she wrapped her body around his, " It’s been a long time since we met, ready to give me a child."

Ved almost laughed, " We haven’t seen each other in years and that’s the first thing you say, aren’t there other dragons here?" He asked.

Linglong clicked her tongue, " Don’t tell me about them, they’re pathetic, they’re not like you, I want your child."

" Well you know that’s impossible, I have a partner already."

" Doesn’t matter, I don’t mind." She answered.

" Yeah that’s not the issue here." Ved sighed.

" Enough you too, come here." Anglomesh called both of them.
