Gong Ruini always felt that given her son’s extraordinary performance, calling her "mom" should absolutely be the first thing he would do.

For this reason, Gong Ruini tirelessly taught her son to say "mom", while as for An An, Gong Ruini couldn’t understand why her daughter loved to sleep so much.

Though she could move when awake, instead of crawling or trying hard to stand up and walk, she preferred to sit there munching on snacks and then smile at you.

Gong Ruini admitted that her daughter’s smile was indeed extremely beautiful, but no matter how pretty it was, the girl still couldn’t be lazy and needed more exercise.

Gong Ruini genuinely had no idea how many ways she had thought up to make her daughter move.

She used delicious food to entice her, An An’s favorite toys to lure her, or even had Pingping crawl ahead in hopes that the little one who stuck to her brother would start crawling.

Yet the result was that this little princess remained so calm, completely ignoring you, while Pingping, seeing his sister unmoved, swiftly turned his chubby little butt to play with An An again.

Watching the two children play energetically, Pingping often showed kindness to An An; the more loving the siblings, the prettier the scene was, Gong Ruini admitted.

But what she wanted was for An An to exercise, and had it not been for the day when Gong Ruini inadvertently discovered that when no adults were around, An An actually stood up on wobbly little legs under Pingping’s encouragement, clutching the wall with one hand and Pingping tightly with the other, Gong Ruini would have been driven crazy.

Despite her daughter’s reluctance to exercise, Gong Ruini was more worried about An An’s health being too weak to exercise.

If she doesn’t like to exercise, that’s fine, but can she at least open her mouth to speak?

No matter how much Gong Ruini taught Pingping to call her "mom", the little guy just looked at her with smiling eyes, without saying a word.

If pressed, he’d simply lie down, either to sleep or pat his belly to indicate the little fatty was hungry, which really infuriated Gong Ruini.

On a few occasions, Gong Ruini genuinely didn’t want to pay attention to him, but this little guy was so stubborn, managing to go hungry for a long time without eating anything.

What could Gong Ruini do but admit defeat; there was no other way. After all, Pingping was still a little kid, and if he were to get into trouble from hunger, that would be no small matter.

Not to mention the elders at home would be very unhappy if they found out, possibly even calling to scold, and Gong Ruini wouldn’t forgive herself either.

So Gong Ruini could only take advantage of having some free time to continuously recite "mom" to her son, regarding whether he would actually speak, she truly dared not hold expectations—today was not a day to expect it.

Watching Pingping start spinning wildly around An An again—the scene was just as silly as it was silly.

Having a silly son was one thing, but for him to lead the fairy-like An An into this madness was another.

Gong Ruini couldn’t help but sigh—worried, how come he’s still not speaking?

Zhao Xuran walked in from outside, before greeting his daughter and son with kisses, he spotted his wife’s displeased expression.

What’s going on, could someone possibly have bullied his wife?

Previously, there was still Zhao Guangran, who was often driving Gong Ruini up the wall, but now he’d flown off to the United Kingdom, busy making more money, surely he wouldn’t be bored enough to call Gong Ruini.

"What’s wrong?" Zhao Xuran placed his things down and then moved to Gong Ruini’s side, giving her a peck on the cheek.

An An looked dumbfoundedly at her dad kissing her mom, while Pingping did differently, covering his eyes with his hands.

Yet son, when you cover your eyes with your chubby little hands, could you please pay more attention, like maybe not leaving such big gaps between your fingers.

"Hey, don’t you see if the kids are present?" Gong Ruini bashfully pushed Zhao Xuran.

What’s wrong with this guy lately, acting as if something clicked, even though he used to be quite restrained.

"An An doesn’t understand."

"As for Pingping, if he sees, let him see. Let him know who your favorite person is." Zhao Xuran deliberately stole a few more kisses from Gong Ruini, then threw a playful smile at Pingping.

Pingping initially didn’t think much of it, but upon seeing Zhao Xuran kiss Gong Ruini multiple times, he was stunned.

"Wow, wow." Then he abruptly sounded the alarm, quickly standing up and running towards Gong Ruini.

Gong Ruini was truly speechless at the speed her son ran at—everyone says there’s a stage from crawling to standing and walking, and then from walking to running.

However, her little fatty seemed like he had barely learned to walk before he started running, though he paid special attention while doing so.

Someone had to catch him at the front, otherwise he wouldn’t run, because the reason was simple: he was a bit chubby, and when he started running he couldn’t quite stop.

Often, Pingping’s running would end with someone picking him up or something blocking his way.

Having been mindful due to several stumbles, Pingping knew he had to ensure there was someone ahead before starting to run, otherwise he absolutely wouldn’t open up a sprint.

When Pingping ran into Gong Ruini’s arms, he quickly reached out to push Zhao Xuran, who refused to budge.

People say Pingping is strong, which is relative to his age; facing such a situation, naturally, he was at a disadvantage.

Using all his strength to exert himself, Pingping’s face turned red, seeing he couldn’t push Zhao Xuran away.

"Mommy, mommy."

"Mommy, mommy." Pingping realized that by relying solely on himself, he couldn’t get dad to leave, so he sought external help.

Gong Ruini simply watched the father-son pair go at it—the scene was hilarious—and unexpectedly her son actually called "mom" this time.

Moreover, the tone of his calling was exceptionally clear, "Son," after waiting so long, Gong Ruini pondered if she’d have to wait until An An started speaking too.

"Good boy, say it again." Gong Ruini knew she hadn’t heard wrong. After all, this was truly a moment worthy of recording when her son spoke for the first time.

"It’s a pity we didn’t buy a camcorder, otherwise..." Gong Ruini was full of regret that such a significant moment couldn’t be documented; pretending otherwise would be false.

"It’s okay, we can take pictures," Zhao Xuran also felt regretful.

"I really was too busy to think straight." Zhao Xuran expressed regret on his face—Gong Ruini had mentioned buying a camcorder before, and he agreed, but recently he’d been so busy he’d forgotten.

At this point, discussing whose fault it was felt meaningless, and Gong Ruini too regretted since she could have gone out and thought to buy one herself.

"Let’s buy one today," Zhao Xuran quickly stood up, "Once we record, we’ll just treat it as the first time every time we hear it."

This little dumpling simply didn’t understand these things; we could just record again and even take more tapes.

When we last visited home, the parents had already hinted that looking at mere photos wasn’t enough to comfort them—they wanted to see moving, crawling, playful kids.

Since bringing them back wasn’t feasible, we’d let them watch more videos of Pingping and the others.

This idea was not bad, but could she perform that naturally again?

Gong Ruini deeply felt that this task was truly not your everyday one.

"How do we know until we try?" Zhao Xuran comforted.
