No matter how Gong Tao and the others felt inside, Zhao Xuran was as he always was.

"Come on, eat some meat, the fish today is pretty good."

"Isn’t it tender?"

Zhao Xuran placed a piece of prepared fish fillet into Gong Ruini’s bowl, "Luckily, the fish here in the United States have fewer bones."

Otherwise, dealing with fish bones isn’t easy, though my wife keeps saying she wants sea fish, claiming it’s good for the baby’s health.

After eating sea fish often, my wife then complains wanting fresh-water fish; Zhao Xuran feels this child is going to be a little troublemaker.

It’s just been a short while, and she already gives him a hard time.

Zhao Xuran thinks if it’s a daughter, that’s fine, as girls are more delicate, and her giving her mother a hard time in the womb is normal.

But if it’s a son, when the child grows, he’d have to teach him tough lessons; otherwise, he’d be unruly once older.

"Ni Zi, pass some beef; how about this pot of tomato-braised beef? I think the tangy sweetness is nice."

Gong Ruzhi was used to Zhao Xuran’s behavior at the dinner table. Whenever everyone ate together, such scenes frequently occurred, leaving a sour feeling.

Gong Ruzhi always thought Dai Liren’s early run to the West Coast wasn’t for the company’s near completion excuse but likely for personal matters.

Moreover, seeing the parents and Uncle Zhao stunned reactions, Gong Ruzhi was quite satisfied, believing that such responses kept things interesting.

"Brother Dai had no choice but to go to the West Coast, saying watching Brother Xu Ran and my sister eat everyday left him with no appetite."

"Do you have an appetite?" Gong Ruwen was astonished. Previously, he thought Gong Ruzhi’s words were somewhat stirring things up.

As for Zhao Xuran’s assurance of "It’s okay," Gong Ruwen believed he was just pretending, not expecting to see the unexpected loving display.

Gong Ruzhi shook his head bitterly, "I quickly eat and return to my room every day; otherwise, I’m worried I’ll lose my appetite watching them be all lovey-dovey."

"Brother Xu Ran wasn’t like this before," Gong Ruzhi couldn’t understand how the Zhao Xuran he has known since childhood could end up so different.

Gong Ruwen’s mind was racing wildly, having known Zhao Xuran for years and never seen him so caring to anyone.

If it was just today, Gong Ruwen might think he was acting.

But this performance has been going on for a while, proving it must be genuine.

Gong Ruwen truly felt happy for his little sister but soon, his happiness dampened, "Hey, Zhao Xuran, you’re taking this a bit too far."

My goodness, Big Brother is impressive; Gong Ruzhi had long wanted to criticize, but he refrained, not because he didn’t dare, but knowing even if he did, would anyone listen?

Seeing Brother Xu Ran and the others sweetly eating, they’d ignore his bitter nobody sentiments.

Lucky to have a Big Brother, Gong Ruzhi gazed admiringly at Gong Ruwen, aware of his reckless motives but at least he courageously spoke out.

"Where did I go too far?" See, provoking Gong Ruwen to jump up was straightforward, Zhao Xuran rejoiced secretly.

Where was he extreme; this and that, Gong Ruwen was at a loss for words, unsure what to say, should he tell Zhao Xuran not to show such affection?

As soon as those words came out, Gong Ruwen knew he’d be ripped apart by mom and dad, given their earlier joyful expressions.

"Showing care for Ni Zi is normal."

"She’s my wife, the mother of my child, who should I treat well if not her?"

"The money I earn is all Ni Zi’s, for property buying and investment, her name will be on it." Zhao Xuran naturally stated.

Even though some people are cautious with their wives fearing money theft, Zhao Xuran never had such concerns.

Wow, unbelievingly, Gong Ruini was shocked; despite them certainly becoming husband and wife, who would make all investments or purchases under the wife’s name?

Gong Tao and Zhao Gang dote on their wives, but they haven’t reached the extent of naming all investments after Cai Meina/Zhan Jing.

Nobody expected Zhao Xuran to do it, making Gong Ruini’s eyes water.

She knows her current situation is different from before, unable to handle such emotional words.

Trying to hold back, Gong Ruini couldn’t control her tears.

"Oh my, what’s wrong with you?" Zhao Xuran could ignore the reactions of his parents and others, but now his eyes focused only on Gong Ruini and her tearful look.

"I’m, I’m touched." Gong Ruini took Zhao Xuran’s handkerchief, trying to wipe away her tears.

These words were true; it’s abnormal if no one feels touched.

"Alright, alright." Zhan Jing was happy to see her son comfort Gong Ruini so well.

No matter what, the daughter-in-law and future granddaughter were secured; next year there’d be a sweet little one calling grandma.

Thinking of this scene, Zhan Jing’s happiness soared, nearly lifting her off the ground.

"Look at yourself." Cai Meina always felt Gong Tao was pretty good, but he simply couldn’t compare.

Compared to Zhao Xuran, Cai Meina noted her man fell short considerably.

"What did I do?" Gong Tao just celebrated for his daughter, unexpectedly the attention quickly turned to him, leaving him surprised.

"What did you do? Look at our investments." Cai Meina wasn’t upset over the money, knowing as an old couple, issues wouldn’t arise.

It’s merely his attitude wasn’t good enough; importantly, despite mentioning it, he didn’t consider it seriously, acting unfazed.

"Right, look at our son." Zhan Jing joined in, coldly confronting her husband.

"You’ve been outdone by your son."

Oh dear, the son was trying hard to win back his wife’s heart, so naturally, he’s performing well, Zhao Gang felt aggrieved.

Yet now wasn’t the time to argue with his wife, knowing if he did, it’d backfire solely on him.

"I admit fault and will mend it at home." Alas, got taken down by their son, Zhao Gang was frustrated.

If Zhao Xuran had discussed earlier, Zhao Gang would’ve planned alongside him, maybe even prepping his wife.

But now there’s no opportunity; promising to rectify was safer.

Seeing his friend so bullied, Gong Tao glared discontentedly at Zhao Gang, disappointed to see him abandon their friendship over such issues.
