Ascension Of The Blood Supreme

Chapter 198. Walking into a slaughter house 1

  • Next Chapter

Kahra Desert.

Outside MadCity.

Feywater’s heavy metal vehicles appeared from the horizon. He was the swiftest among his rivals to arrive.

At the moment, he had not yet arrived at the entrance of MadCity.

He was still at the outer perimeters of the city.

500 expert rank 2 warriors trailed behind him in heavy armored vehicles.

A glint flashed through Aiden’s crimson eyes as he observed them from the city lord’s villa.

"The first group is arriving."

He had already prepared attacks awaiting their arrival.

The microscopic crimson blades hovered above the entrances of the western district of the city.

Aiden knew that he was their target. Since he was the city Lord, and he stayed in the western district, it was only natural they came in through the gate of the western district.

Aiden’s enemies didn’t know they were walking into a slaughterhouse.

The microscopic crimson blades shot towards Feywater and his convoy.

They didn’t see anything, or sense any attack in the atmosphere, headed towards them.

Suddenly...

Puchi...

Feywater felt extreme pain travel through his neck and head.

He didn’t understand what was happening...

Who attacked him... how?

Wait... the lodgekeeper was said to have the ability to launch unseen attacks...

Was it him?...

Where was he?

Impossible!...

Before he could think any further, Feywater’s neck slid cleanly from his head. There was an expression of fear, shock, and puzzlement on his face.

He did not understand how the lodgekeeper killed him. But it was obvious he realised that the enemy was not small fry like he assumed. But he realised it too late. He was dead.

His head rolled to another seat, leaving his headless body in the backseat.

"My lord!"

"How is this possible..."

Puchi... puchi...

Before the rest of his cohorts could even process what had happened, they also met the same fate.

Heads lay close to headless bodies with looks of puzzlement and fear.

Blood splurged from the headless bodies and stained the car seats.

The heavy metal cars plunged into the sand and came to a halt.

"I almost forgot that I need to be in a three-kilometer radius to absorb their blood essence. Seriously, I didn’t want to leave the house today," Aiden sighed.

Crimson wings formed on his back in his clothes.

In his t-shirt, jeans, and slippers, he stepped out of the room through the windows and flew towards where Feywater and his entourage’s corpses were.

As he flew across the skies, several people noticed him.

"Look, is that not the city Lord?"

"The lodgekeeper?"

"Yeah, that’s him."

"Where is he headed to..."

"It looks like he’s headed towards the gates of the western district."

The attention of several city residents was drawn towards the city Lord.

"Could it be that the other city lords are arriving?"

"After all, there are rumors circulating that they each want to take over MadCity. Is the city Lord planning on handling them alone?"

"Quick, let’s head to the city walls to observe what is happening! It looks like he won’t be fighting them in the city, so we won’t get caught in the crossfire."

Several residents of the city moved towards the city walls.

Currently, the lodgekeeper was floating outside the city as several city residents observed him from the walls.

Those with phones even started to record him and started streaming him live on city forums.

This made several city residents who were not on the walls start to watch him.

Everyone was wondering what the lodgekeeper was up to.

Even the Dickinsons, the enforcers, and the maids in the city lord’s residence were surprised.

Was the senior not in the villa a few moments ago...

When did he leave the villa...

Wait... was he trying to cook up some catastrophe again?

Aiden didn’t give a damn about the antics of the city residents.

"This place should be fine. I’m currently in a 3km radius. I should wait till the others are close enough and get rid of them."

He absorbed the blood essence of the corpses in the cars, 3km away from him.

The city residents were still wondering what the city Lord was up to.

Very soon, a convoy of heavy metal vehicles rolled out across the desert from another direction.

Kali was the leader of this convoy.

Suddenly, he saw something in a direction.

Several vehicles had plunged into the sand.

He checked the number plates.

"Feywater. He died?" Kali thought.

"Sir, could it be that the lodgekeeper killed him?" One of his trusted men said.

"I don’t think so. Based on everything we’ve gathered on the lodgekeeper, something like that shouldn’t be possible. Also, there’s no way he could have even anticipated an attack even if he were strong enough to stop it. Unless... he lured us here on purpose..." Kali widened his eyes.

Something did not add up. Something was wrong.

The cars continued heading towards MadCity.

But he was silent... in thought...

An absurd thought occurred to him.

But he shook his head, "That’s not possible."

"Feywater was most likely killed by a group of desert beasts. Check the roads well," he announced.

"Yes, sir."

"Roger that."

The drivers of the various vehicles replied.

"Sir, we are picking a biological signal ahead." The person driving the vehicle he was in steered the wheel with puzzlement. "And it’s not a beast."

"Who is it?" Kali asked.

"From the image we are picking up... it’s The lodgekeeper... it’s as if he’s waiting for us to arrive," the person replied.

"I can see him... is he trying to negotiate his way out of this... maybe I can take him under my wing instead of killing him..." Kali smiled.

Meanwhile, the residents of MadCity saw several vehicles draw close to MadCity.

When the vehicles drew close to The Lodgekeeper floating above ground, they halted.

A figure shot out of one of the vehicles with wind wings on his back. A whirlwind swirled beneath his feet.

They all recognized him.

The city Lord of Kali City. City Lord Kali.

His group of men, all expert rank 2 warriors, clad in their battlesuits, followed him into the air, forming affinity wings on their backs with their affinities.
