As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!
Chapter 122 - 20 - My Tease... Little Bit Out Of Hands
Chapter 122: Chapter 20 - My Tease... Little Bit Out Of Hands
I don’t particularly like recounting stories from the past. But Liliana’s terrifying past... already became my memories too.
A disaster where she ran to survive, hoping for a fire to warm her every step of the way.
Not like running away without showing respect in battlefield, but running for her own safety.
"Nighttime is the warmest time to light a fire and relax for a while. Let the wood burn down and sink into the bliss of a comfortable sleep."
"Did you know... It’s was a wonderful pleasure on a cold night, Master Amagi?"
"Enjoying a momentary sense of security after a day of non-stop running, searching for a safety place from the monsters’ rampage and hoping to find help along the way."
In the silence of this library, I said something unworthy of me to say to Master Amagi. A story from the past, where the helpless Liliana had to leave in the shadows of fear.
The hometown that was her birthplace had been razed to the ground, hit by the rampage of an out-of-control monster, and was impossible to rebuild after most of its inhabitants died.
"The fire magic affinity may have little value in Master Amagi’s eyes, but for me, who has come to understand the warmth, comfort, and security of a fire that continues to burn beside me, it is a magic affinity that is not too bad to have."
"Well, maybe, it would be mediocre compared to other, with much greater affinities."
Oh, now I am being cursed with my personality...
I said something that the real Liliana would have said, not the one who possessed her body.
Badummpp...
Badummpp...
Badummpp...
However, if I continue to remain silent and do nothing about it. This pain in my chest will continue to pound. Choking myself with guilt towards the fiery figure who had protected Liliana in the past.
The discussion about magical affinity seemed to trigger Liliana’s old, sad memories.
"I-I don’t see the fire magic affinity is disgusting!"
"I already took back my words that said fire magic affinity wasn’t that disgusting!"
"Muuu~ Why Liliana likes to tease me into feeling guilty like this? " said Master Amagi while curling her cheeks inward.
She looked sullen, but not completely sullen.
And still cute at the same time. My drastic change in attitude probably distressed Master Amagi. After all, Liliana’s horrific experience could be considered a deep trauma from her past. An event that had nothing to do with me, but suddenly became my responsibility after possessing Liliana’s body.
It sounds so ridiculous, but that’s what’s happening right now.
"I didn’t make Master Amagi feel guilty, did I?" I replied with a smile and a teasing touch on her soft cheek.
"You’re making me feel guilty! Fire magic affinity isn’t that bad, and I take back my words that said fire magic affinity is disgusting!"
"I’ve heard that many times, Master Amagi."
"I have to say it again after hearing about Liliana’s horrible past. You’ve been through something terrible, and I’m insulting something... that saved you in the past, Liliana!"
"That happened in the past. I’m not really upset about Master Amagi’s opinion that the Fire Magic Affinity is disgusting. I just want to say... whatever magic affinity a person has, it is the path it takes that suits it’s abilities."
"That didn’t sound like it before!" Master Amagi retorted, suddenly irritated.
I didn’t mean to tease Master Amagi like this. There were some parts I felt were overdone, and I was saying it from the perspective of Liliana in the past, who viewed fire as a symbol of hope.
There’s nothing wrong with that, right?
These are all simply differences in perspective and life experiences. Liliana, with her hardships as a commoner, and Master Amagi, who is so comfortable with her noble life.
In fact, it’s not wrong to consider the fire-affinity magic Fireball a disgusting occurrence. It all comes down to perspective and life experiences.
"I’m just kidding. This will be an important lesson for Master Amagi. Not everything you find disgusting will feel the same to others. Sometimes, knowing someone else’s point of view is necessary to understand what’s in someone’s heart. I could get angry at Master Amagi and not talk for a long days, you know," I said in a half-joking tone.
Coincidentally, I’m taking this opportunity to reimagine Master Amagi’s character, who is known for her sharp sarcasm. Unlike Master Reina, who speaks her mind out loud, Master Amagi tends to be passive when it comes to expressing her thoughts.
Sometimes she uses polite, yet hurtful language. It’s exactly what I felt before, and it triggers memories of Liliana’s past disagreement with Master Amagi’s words.
"Was what I said earlier that bad?" Master Amagi asked with a look of fear in her eyes.
Her bright pastel purple eyes were filled with tears, ready to fall at any moment at the answer that came out of my mouth.
"For me, it’s not that bad. For my mother, who shared my suffering, she would feel that it’s nothing for her, because she not understand magic affinity. But for a novice mage who can only learn Fireball magic and happens to have a fire magic affinity, that was bad end. Master Amagi’s words would sound like a mockery that would crush someone self-esteem."
Master Amagi’s face turned pale. She didn’t seem to realize how badly her words would affect others.
I smiled faintly with a small mischief that crossed my mind.
"Apologizing won’t heal a broken feelings. Luckily for Master Amagi, she has an understanding maid like me. I can forgive it with three kisses on my face..."
"Master Amagi must kiss my right cheek, left cheek, and lips for me to forgive you. If not... Well, I will ignore Master Amagi... forever, teehe~" I continued, while carrying out my embarrassing plan.
My words and actions seems contradicted each other. I had previously said that this matter wouldn’t be serious, but now it had turned into something far more serious before Master Amagi’s eyes.
The teasing I do isn’t strictly necessary. A kiss on the cheek is enough, and that doesn’t mean I’ll remain silent throughout my service session.
It would be strange if the apprentice maid didn’t say anything while serving her beloved Master, right?
There was nothing for Master Amagi to worry about.
It was just a little bluff I did to tease her.
"E-Eehh?!!" Master Amagi’s face looked so shocked after hearing my words.
"Y-You’re still angry, Liliana?"
"S-Should I do that for you to forgive me?" Master Amagi asked with a panicked and anxious expression on her face.
The honest reaction made me want to smile and laugh, but I had to hold back my facial expression to remain silent.
"Um, L-Lilianaaaaa..." Master Amagi called me in a soft tone.
I gave her no response, my gaze pretending not to see her, treating her as an invisible ghost before me. Master Amagi’s panicked expression was comical; she even forgot the thick magic book she was reading and tried to seek help from someone else.
"L-Liliana??" Master Amagi called my name again; this time it sounded like a call filled with awkward.
"Ugh... you must be teasing me on purpose in this underhanded way, right?"
"I know that my words sounded like a mockery. But I didn’t say that from the bottom of my heart. There was no bad intention behind those bad words!"
"I-If you suddenly get angry and put conditions on my apology like that, I’ll take this as your naughty teasing!" Master Amagi said, looking at me with a serious look in her eyes.
The reading sofa we were sitting on made a squeaky sound and Master Amagi stared at me with a blush on her face.
She accepted the temptation to kiss my cheeks and lips this quickly?
Now, I feel guilty after teasing her this far...
Caress...
Caress...
Master Amagi’s cool hand caressed my cheek. Her lips grew closer to mine, and the blush on her cheeks grew brighter.
"I know this is so embarrassing..."
"But I have to do this, so you’ll accept my apology, right?"
"Remember this, Liliana! I will do the same thing as this in the future!"
"So, don’t blame me when that time comes. You are the one who taught me this weird apology!"
Master Amagi made a small protest. It sounded so cute and funny, because Master Amagi did it with a face as red as a tomato ready to be harvested.
Should I stop this with the excuse that I was just "joking"?
No, that would make Master Amagi angry with me.
All I can do at this point is accept her three kisses and forgive her mistakes.
Chuuppp...
Chhuuppp...
My cheeks received a series of soft kisses. It started with my right cheek, which received a soft kiss from Master Amagi’s lips, and then my left cheek, where I felt Master Amagi’s frustration being vented.
Ckkuttt...
There was a small bite that I felt on my left cheek.
"I-I won’t just keep quiet when I’m being teased like this, you know..."
"I-I will fight back with all my might and my heart..."
"Please... Forgive my words regarding the fire magic affinity was a disgusting things, Liliana."
With that sincere apology, I felt Master Amagi’s tiny lips land on mine.
Chuuppp...
The kiss I felt was gentle. Master Amagi’s tiny lips moved, sucking on my lower lip until I felt a small bite. Not hard enough to hurt my lower lip, but clear enough to be a warning from Master Amagi.
She slowly released her lips and looked at me seriously. "From today on, I will only forgive your every mistake with a kiss!"
"Remember that well, Liliana!"
