Chapter 2306: Magnator

  • Next Chapter

Tang Shaoyang proceeded with the next advancement after his curiosity was satiated. His right hand was directed toward Aerelion in the sky, and his left was on the piles of corpses.

The skill, Spirit Advancement, would take the required sacrifices, not more. The process was similar to Doombringer. The corpses burst into lights, moving toward Aerelion.

Soon Aerelion was covered in bright orange instead of dark-red orange like Doombringer. Just like Doombringer, Aerelion was covered like a cocoon.

There was no pulse or phenomenon where the sky darkened. But the temperature was rising to extremes. The heat wave was visible to the eyes as something dropping from the cocoon.

A drop of bright orange thick liquid fell to the ground, creating a "pssh" sound. It burned the ground, creating a hole. Then the second drop followed.

"I think we need to do something about it. It might ruin my storage below."

Tang Shaoyang said as he looked at Zara; so did Vandir. That was her job. The Goddess of Death rolled her eyes and sent the magma into the void. In fact, she opened a gate to the void right below the cocoon made of magma.

That was right; Aerelion’s cocoon was made of magma instead of energy. With the rising temperature, it turned the cocoon more like a little sun.

"That’s not going to explode, right?" He asked the two spirits.

"It will explode." Zara and Vandir answered confidently.

It was a bit silly, but Tang Shaoyang used the Eighth Heavenly Gate. He formed the Heavenly Black Tortoise Shell for them to surround the cocoon. It was silly to use such an advanced technique to contain the magma. At the same time, Zara enlarged the gate to the void, matching the size.

"What if a Void Creature pops out from there?" Vandir asked while pointing at the enlarged gate.

This time, Zara and Tang Shaoyang looked at him. Their gazes told him it was his job to take care of the Void Creature since he didn’t do anything.

"Alright. I will take care of anything that comes out from that gate."

The advancement took the same time as the previous one. As they predicted, the cocoon exploded as the magma burst out in all directions. If not for Tang Shaoyang’s Heavenly Black Tortoise shell. It would have created a massive fire in the area.

Tang Shaoyang even noticed the magma managed to melt off his defensive shell. It forced him to create a second layer. The magma was directed toward the void gate below.

Tang Shaoyang hastily put away his hell afterward. There were two possibilities if he didn’t quickly put them off. First, Aerelion would smash the shell, which was the best outcome. Second, Aerelion would be suffocated.

For his spirit’s safety, he pulled off his shell as Aerelion came into a figure. Aerelion opened his massive, majestic wings wide open, which was followed by a heatwave that dried the grass and trees. It even melted the stones.

Aerelion was certainly growing in size. His wingspan alone might reach one hundred and forty meters long, and his wings were made of bright magma, bulging dangerously.

His body was still thinner compared to Avyn’s dragon form, smaller in build compared to a real dragon. Yet he could be longer. The scales on the lower part of his neck and body were obsidian black, but the upper part was glowing like magma.

There was something like a mantle around the shoulder, reaching down to his lower belly. The same thing covered the back of his head and neck, blazing like fire.

A singular horn grew above his snout, growing straight upward. More horns also grew on top of his head, quite many and random in size. There were maybe eight or maybe nine, and it was over twelve if the smaller ones were counted as well. The horns were bright orange, just like the color of magma.

The same mantle of fire also grew on the back of his four joints. Aerelion’s length was impressive. It was almost double his original length. Especially for his tail, his tail alone might be fifty meters, or maybe seventy meters long.

Aerelion slowly descended from the sky. Fortunately, the magma didn’t drip from his wings or that mantle of fire.

Aerelion landed on his four feet, and opposite of Doombringer, Aerelion lowered his head to the ground. His majestic figure completely disappeared as he showed complete loyalty toward Tang Shaoyang.

"I am grateful for this chance, Master! I will not disappoint your expectations."

"You never disappoint me, Aerelion."

[Aerelion the High-Rank Archaic Spirit has advanced to the Pinnacle-Rank Archaic Spirit!]

[Aerelion receives a new title, Aerelion the Magnator!]

"I would like you to get used to your new body and fly around. But I think you will trigger yet another nationwide alarm. Let’s wait for our next mission instead."

Aerelion didn’t protest as Tang Shaoyang recalled Aerelion back to Spirit World.

"What about Magmator? Does anyone know about our new friend?"

Zara shook her head while Vandir appeared to be contemplating.

[It’s a bloodline, Master. That’s my bloodline. I seemed to awaken a memory during the advancement, showing who my ancestor is. They are considered a Primal Wyvern that ruled the world of a demon. There’s a trace of Magmator’s bloodline in me, and that’s awakened with the advancement.]

"I see..." Zara and Vandir looked toward him, realizing he was having a conversation with Aerelion. The curious Vandir could not hold back and asked immediately, "What is it?"

"Just like Atramendos. Magmator is a Primal Wyvern bloodline, and Aerelion awakens that bloodline. It’s another primal stuff."

Vandir laughed at Tang Shaoyang’s nonchalant answer. "Do you hear what our Boss says? It’s just another primal thing he says!"

The skeleton shook his head. "Do you really understand what it means, Boss? For the System to describe a being with Primal in their name. It means that he is on the same level as our Dragon Boss, Madam Avyn."
