Chapter 2305: Doombringer’s Acting Up

That was when Avyn stepped up, standing in front of Tang Shaoyang. She looked up at Doombringer; her gaze was chilling yet emotionless.

"You better behave, Doom. Or I will freeze you in my world and never let him summon you ever again!"

"Buahahahahahahaha...." Doombringer burst into laughter as if he heard something funny.

"You beat me because you are in Pinnacle Rank while I am High Rank. Now we are both in Pinnacle Rank. Don’t get ahead of yourself, woman. You should kneel to me and beg me not to kill your man."

That was when the Frost Aura burst out from Avyn. The whole area, reaching over twenty kilometers, was freezing, turning into ice. At the same time, Avyn returned to her dragon form.

When she transformed into her dragon form, she became much bigger. She towered over Doombringer as the frost was getting even more chilling.

Avyn was in the state where she was the most unstable in the last six months. Having vented her frustration to Calamity helped her to calm down, but she was still unstable. She was easily angered, especially when it involved Tang Shaoyang and her family.

That was resolved when TEID gave Avyn the details of the kidnapper. Such as where they came from and their affiliation. That day, a small faction disappeared as a city-sized region formerly known as Europe was left frozen.

No one knew what got into Doombringer’s head, but he was indeed the stupid kind. He provoked Tang Shaoyang with killing intent right before her, when she was in this mental state.

"Bring him to your domain. Don’t wreck my storage! And don’t forget to unfreeze the corpses and the surroundings. Bring him intact if possible. We can sacrifice him for Spirit Energy."

Acting on his cue, Avyn restored the surroundings, and then she disappeared along with Doombringer.

Tang Shaoyang was curious about Avyn’s domain. He had never been and was curious what kind of place it was. Maybe her domain was her world where he first met her. That was possible, considering the whole world was frozen in ice.

"Are you being serious about sacrificing Doombringer?" Vandir suddenly asked.

"Why? Do you think I am joking?" Tang Shaoyang was serious when he mentioned sacrificing Doombringer. It would be a pity indeed to sacrifice a Pinnacle-Rank Archaic Spirit, but he didn’t have any use for a spirit who wanted to kill him.

His Spirit Energy had been stagnant at the same number for a while. There were two ways to increase his Spirit Energy. First, it was to do a summoning. The sacrifice for the summoning increased his Spirit Energy. Second, it was to sacrifice an actual spirit. Not only would he get Spirit Energy; he would get bonus attributes and maybe one of Doombringer’s skills.

"Isn’t it a waste? You used so many sacrifices on him already," Zara tried to dissuade Tang Shaoyang from sacrificing Doombringer. She regarded the creature as a great asset. Especially when the God Realm Champion was just two months away.

"I believe Avyn could make him obedient."

Vandir chuckled, "Or you can give him to me. You know, maybe I can tweak a spirit too. They are undead in a way, after all. Oh, I already have several ideas to work on with him."

"Let’s see how things turn out with Avyn." Tang Shaoyang hadn’t made the decision yet. But it depended on how Doombringer would behave from now on.

Doombringer had the same antic before, and he repeated it again now. Doombringer truly thought he had the chance to kill him when they had a contract established already. That monster was a calamity, after all. A talking calamity didn’t mean a smart calamity.

Tang Shaoyang truly considered sacrificing Doombringer if the spirit couldn’t behave or wouldn’t listen to him.

"Who’s next?" He put Doombringer aside and asked for the next candidate to receive the advancement. If it were his decision, he would pick his "five knights": Jovrick, Gianni, Nikolas, Mathias, and Ruben.

Aside from those five, Radiance, Maldros, Malki, Bronson, Orlean, or Aerelion were good choices. They behaved well and listened to his orders. On top of that, they were his long-standing spirits.

"Aerelion!" Zara and Vandir replied at the same time.

Aerelion, the Infernal Wyvern King. That was a great pick, though he didn’t really know the spirit discussed it.

Tang Shaoyang summoned Aerelion and asked Zara to get more materials from the second storage. Doombringer used half of the first batch, and he was afraid the remaining materials would not be enough. The quality of the sacrifice did matter, after all.

Rank 9 Calamity was worth a lot more than merely Rank 5 Calamity. He didn’t know whether Doombringer used the majority of the high-ranked calamity or the lower-ranked one. They were dead, and Tang Shaoyang didn’t bother to separate them. He just stored the corpses every time he cleared the abandoned.

Aerelion flew up into the air, making more space for the materials. Not long after, Zara returned with the materials.

"By the way, do you know something about Atramendos?" Tang Shaoyang meant to ask Zara and Vandir earlier, but Doombringer acted out. That was Doombringer’s new title, and he was curious if it meant something, or if it was just something exclusive to Doombringer.

"Why do you..." Vandir paused as he remembered something. "Ah, is that fool’s new title Atramendos?" The fool in his words was, of course, Doombringer.

Tang Shaoyang nodded.

"He’s from that line, huh?" Vandir chuckled. "This makes me want him even more."

"You haven’t answered me, Vandir."

"Is this Atramendos famous?"
