Chapter 2118: Might As Well Join the Party

Nikolas returned from his domain, carrying his opponent by the neck like carrying a cat. He threw the half-dead opponent in front of Avyn as he appeared there shortly after.

“That was a good fight, and I found a plus point in being a martial artist like them. It’s a good benefit, but don’t take it as a main class.”

That was when Nikolas found out there were more people in the venue. His eyes immediately locked on the figure who stood in front of Tang Shaoyang. Someone stronger than the opponent he just beat.

But he figured out that he would not get the chance to fight that one because his master had his eyes on that old man. However, he found another target, the man next to the old man, the Dongfang Family’s head.

That man belonged to Ouyang Biya, but he saw that Ouyang Biya was lost to that man. Being thoughtful, he didn’t mention that loss.

“What should we do now, Supreme Guardian Kong?”

Dongfang Jinhai asked. He had exposed himself, his association with the Heaven Founder. The Murim Alliance would not stay still. There was no more place for the Dongfang Family in the Murim Alliance unless they could kill everyone in the city, which he didn’t have confidence in.

The mysterious group truly disrupted their plan. They easily took down one of the 12 Guardians already. That was a big loss for them, especially when the war had just started.

Supreme Guardian Kong also hesitated when he found the state of Guardian Dai. They lost a key piece in their plan, and the worst part was that they had not achieved their goal yet.

They came here to kill these young talents, cutting the future of the Murim Alliance because they knew this would be a long battle for them. That was the reason behind their move to attack the Dragon and Phoenix Tournament first.

The Murim Alliance had a strong foundation, so taking them in one full sweep was impossible. That was why they started by targeting the younger generations.

Those young talents died, but it was not them who killed those young talents. It was the same mysterious group that disrupted their plan.

At this point, Supreme Guardian Kong was unsure what the mysterious group’s goal was. This group helped them to get rid of those young talents, but this group now turned against them.

They lost a quarter of their people already to this small group, and now they have lost a Guardian as well. Everything went awry the moment this mysterious group showed up.

“Who are you really? Why are you interrupting the Heaven Founder’s business?”

Supreme Guardian Kong could not hold his curiosity anymore, “You are not on the Murim Alliance’s side, well, the fact that you killed those people. You are helping us in a way, but you killed our people, too. Do you plan to oppose the Heaven Founder and the Murim Alliance altogether?”

“Not really. I am just a bystander who was caught by your scuffle. And you know as well the grudge between my new subordinate and the Dongfang Family. I don’t really have a plan to fight you both. It’s between the Dongfang Family and me.”

Tang Shaoyang didn’t lie when he said it was between them and the Dongfang Family. That was the only reason they got caught in this mess.

Ouyang Biya was supposed to attack the Dongfang Family as chaos ensued. However, she could not control her emotions and attacked Dongfang Jinhai openly.

“If your subordinate attacked us when we did nothing. This is just self-defense… But again, it turns out the Dongfang Family has been part of the Heaven Founder all along. Guess that will make me against the Heaven Founder.”

Tang Shaoyang then glanced at the group of the Murim Alliance. They had regrouped after Supreme Guardian Kong’s pressure loosened. They stayed in a group, protecting each other.

“It’s the same with the Murim Alliance. It’s self-defense. Can’t blame me, they are too weak for a group that tried to pick a fight against me, no? But that will be a good life lesson for them. Having numbers doesn’t mean you are stronger.”

Tang Shaoyang took out the World Destroyer in his left hand. Azure Dragon Blade in his right hand and World Destroyed in his left hand.

“Since it turns out this way, we might as well join the party, no? My subordinate is having fun beating your subordinate. I hope you can give me some fun as well.”

He raised his blade to the air. At the same time, the sky split open, revealing a golden gate with the Azure Dragon on top of it. The scene caused a shock to everyone who witnessed it.

Tang Shaoyang glanced at Avyn and Zara. Both looked annoyed, but they knew the drill. Avyn set up an invisible barrier as Zara called Mathias, Ruben, and Jovrick to bring back the others.

Not long after, they returned with Gu Yingjie and the others. They were staying under the invisible barrier cast by Avyn.

Azure Dragon Descent

Tang Shaoyang swung his sword downward, and the azure dragon descended. It was an integrated skill, a skill granted by the sword.

The roar reverberated through the venue and shot down at the Supreme Guardian Kong, who was in the air. The Azure Dragon dragged the old man down to the ground and ended with a boom.

A fierce energy shock wave swept the venue, sending the rubble and dust cloud everywhere. The spectators’ seats cracked and fell apart. The building near the venue fell off as the city shook for a moment.

Dongfang Jinhai reacted in time. No, he managed to react because Supreme Guardian Kong blocked it for him. There was a moment where Supreme Guardian Kong stopped the Azure Dragon.

Dongfang Jinhai took that moment and escaped from the Azure Dragon. He was not far away from the venue, and he prayed that Supreme Guardian Kong was fine. If that killed Supreme Guardian Kong, then he would be done for.

The dust settled down and revealed a figure in a tattered robe, standing on flat ground. The stage was long gone, the venue was in ruin, and an old man stood in the center of it.

The robe was full of cuts and tatters. His white hair shriveled as he lost his hair tie, but he was still standing strong with his sword. There was a figure not far from the old man, the one who sent the azure dragon down.

“I would be disappointed if you die with just a single attack,” Tang Shaoyang got more excited.

If that one skill was enough to kill or even weaken the old man, that fight might not be fun anymore. However, the old man showed a great fighting spirit after receiving the Azure Dragon Descent.

“I will make you regret opposing the Heaven Founder!” Kong Hu raised his sword, creating hundreds of flying swords with his internal energy.

He pointed his sword toward Tang Shaoyang, and those flying swords shot toward Tang Shaoyang. However, the old man was shocked when Tang Shaoyang also created the same floating swords, but their colors were dark red while his was blue.

Tang Shaoyang matched the number, and each sword clashed. He didn’t apply the Absolute Domination Energy just to find out how strong the 7th-Stage True God Realm was. His Chaos Energy was already strong enough to dominate most types of energy, after all. Adding Absolute Domination might be overkill.

That was when the surprise came. The old man’s flying swords were evenly matched with his. The sword broke apart into energy particles when they clashed. The two swords exploded like fireworks.

The old man had a better reaction. He was shocked by how his move got countered, but that didn’t stop him from sending the second attack. His sword was covered in his internal energy and slashed at the mysterious man, sending a crescent blade made of energy toward Tang Shaoyang.

Tang Shaoyang’s figure blurred, disappeared as the blade cut through the venue, the building, and the entire city. Everything on its path was cut, and it even killed some people from the Murim Alliance who foolishly tried to block it.

Tang Shaoyang appeared on top of the old man with his battle axe facing upward. He swung the battle axe down at the old man.

Maybe his arrogance, or maybe confidence. The old man swung his sword upward to meet the battle axe. The sword and the battle axe clashed in the air.

Bang!

It created a destructive shock wave that destroyed everything around them. The old man knitted his brow. He didn’t get pushed back by the clash, but there was something that bothered him that came from the battle axe.

He noticed how some of his internal energy was dispersed during the clash, weakening his technique.
