Chapter 195 - 138: Sword Qi Sweeps Across Three Thousand Li
Chapter 195: Chapter 138: Sword Qi Sweeps Across Three Thousand Li
"What are you talking about? I have nothing to do with her."
"Mm."
Lu Changyuan couldn’t quite discern the emotion in that "Mm." He just felt that the Moon Fairy was being a little strange.
Qiu Yuehan spoke softly, changing the subject. "The Blood Demon Lord is about to win. I might be his next target."
When bitter enemies meet, their eyes burn with hatred.
Since the Blood Demon Lord had absorbed that drop of blood, he would likely have to shoulder the Black Dragon’s resentment.
The Black Dragon utterly hated the Nether Monarch. With Qiu Yuehan standing right here, her turn would come once the battle with the Evil Buddha was over. That was why Qiu Yuehan was already planning to reclaim her former Dao. While it couldn’t guarantee a victory against the dragon-transformed Blood Demon Lord, at least she wouldn’t lose.
Lu Changyuan said nothing. After a long moment, he reached up and wiped away the golden script glowing in his eyes.
"You won’t need to. Just keep focusing on how to merge the Red Dust with death."
Qiu Yuehan paused, then gave a rather docile "Mm." "My junior sister was right. You really do always have a plan."
Lu Changyuan smiled. "It’s just a coincidence. Besides, I’m not the only one with a plan. Don’t forget, Jiayi is still on Celestial Mountain."
He had one disciple, and another who had almost become his disciple.
Though he was a terrible teacher, both of them were powerful and very reliable.
As for his plan, it truly was just a coincidence. Lu Changyuan took a piece of Dragon Bone from his robes. The searing heat from the black bone was growing more intense, as if it wanted to fly up and rejoin the body of the Black Dragon in the sky.
"This bone and the skull must have both come from that Black Dragon."
Qiu Yuehan frowned. "What are you going to do?"
"My Fifth Realm is here and now." Lu Changyuan released his control over the rain. The blood-red drops struck the side of his face, tracing its contours as they slid down and soaked him.
"I absorbed a great deal of blood qi in the Burial Ground. It’s all useless for my Dao and can only be used as a one-time consumable. This is the perfect time to use it."
Lu Changyuan held out his hand, his eyes so crimson they looked like they would drip blood. The falling rain of blood seemed to dance around the small piece of Dragon Bone. Then, the one hundred and eight serpentine phantoms that Xue Nichang had placed inside the skull earlier appeared in Lu Changyuan’s hand.
In that instant.
The torrential blood qi Lu Changyuan had absorbed surged into the one hundred and eight serpentine phantoms. These one hundred and eight phantoms, now suffused with blood, swirled around Lu Changyuan’s own before plunging into the skull along with him.
The rain pattered crisply against the earth, but it couldn’t drown out Lu Changyuan’s words.
"Let’s see whose blood is more powerful, then."
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Beneath the downpour of blood, the Black Dragon thrashed wildly deep within the clouds. Every single one of its scales trembled violently, as if it were enduring a pain that could tear its Divine Soul apart.
"Xue Lie! Even if you underwent Dragon Transformation, you still rely on the power of that single drop of blood. And as long as it is blood, it cannot escape the control of a Blood Demon!"
The Evil Buddha’s voice erupted from countless Gu Insects simultaneously. Myriad strains of the Buddha’s Voice overlapped and vibrated, throwing the world into chaos. Anyone who heard it would feel their head spin, their minds overrun with distracting thoughts.
By now, the fine, thread-like, blood-colored Gu Insects had bored through the Black Dragon’s scales and were frantically gnawing on the Dragon Race’s tough flesh and blood.
It seemed the Evil Buddha was about to turn defeat into victory.
"Is that so?"
The Blood Demon Lord’s disdainful voice echoed within the dragon’s roar.
BOOM!
The air around the Black Dragon suddenly warped. A terrifying heat swept across the world, vaporizing the rain of blood into a crimson mist before it could even touch the ground. Beneath the darkly gleaming scales, the depths of the colossal dragon’s body began to glow with a scorching, magma-like red light. The blood-insects that had burrowed inside its body burst one after another in the dragon’s-breath-like heat, turning to ash.
Another dragon’s roar, powerful enough to shake mountains, rang out.
The Black Dragon charged into the sky against the wind and rain, swallowing the clouds in a single gulp. The blood-red moon shone down upon the earth once more. The endless crimson moonlight seemed to be crowning the Black Dragon, and the cold, biting winter wind swirled fiercely around it, becoming its lethal Magic.
The Blood Demon was on the verge of collapse. The Evil Buddha was forcibly repelled, spitting up black blood.
The Evil Buddha hadn’t yet recovered from his previous injuries. Now, severely wounded by the Black Dragon, he was on the brink of demise.
Fear finally overcame greed. The Evil Buddha was terrified and turned to flee.
The Black Dragon’s long, vertical pupils flickered. With its powerful enemy routed, another thought that had been lying dormant deep within its consciousness began to grow wildly: it had to kill the woman who had been standing and watching from a distance the entire time.
He had seen the woman before. She was only in the Fifth Realm and posed no threat. And since the Evil Buddha was still around, dealing with her was a much lower priority than killing the Evil Buddha first.
He hadn’t expected the woman to not even try to run.
Dragon’s breath gathered in its throat. The Black Dragon resolved to completely annihilate the Evil Buddha first, and then crush that audacious, irritating woman.
The Black Dragon turned. As its body twisted, its sharp tail tore through the sky, stabbing toward the Evil Buddha and the Blood Demon.
At the exact moment the dragon’s tail, the Evil Buddha, and the Blood Demon were all aligned.
CLANG!
Something so brilliant that even time could not keep up with it arrived from the distance.
’A beam of Sword Qi?’
It was a beam of Sword Qi, one born from the full-powered strike of an Innate Sword Body.
Mountains and rivers, karma and reincarnation—all were shattered by the sheer force of this one sword strike!
’Unstoppable.’ The thought flooded the minds of both the Blood Demon Lord and the Evil Buddha.
They had no time to react.
Where the beam of Sword Qi passed, the bright moon seemed to hang upside down. The Evil Buddha’s Dharma Body disintegrated, the Blood Demon’s Origin was extinguished, and even the Black Dragon’s tail, which stretched across the Celestial Vault, was severed at the base.
The Black Dragon hadn’t even processed what happened before the beam of Sword Qi plowed through. The pain was bone-deep. The Black Dragon’s enormous body twisted and writhed in the sky, its agonized roars echoing endlessly.
But it wasn’t over yet.
BOOM!
The earth suddenly cracked open. A streak of crimson shot out from underground, flew into the sky, and swallowed the falling Blood Demon in a single gulp.
It was another dragon.
This was a creature that should never have existed, finally birthed into the world. Aided by Xue Nichang’s Magic, Lu Changyuan had used a bone fragment to resonate with a dragon’s skull, fused it with five hundred years of blood qi, and then forcibly integrated the complete Blood Demon Technique into it.
[The Blood Dragon has been born.]
