Arceus's Pirate Journey
Chapter 1177: Someone Really Ran to 20 Years Later Just to Get Killed
Chapter 1177 -1158: Someone Really Ran to 20 Years Later Just to Get Killed
Mandfeish can fly, and it’s a jet-type variant—water jet flight.
Among the flying cadres on Ghost Island, Mandfeish’s speed has always been at the bottom.
This is understandable, since he’s primarily a water combat type cadre; aerial combat isn’t his strong suit. With King, Shaina, and Zeraora leading the charge, aerial combat wouldn’t be his area anyway.
He’s not fast, but neither is Queen a high-speed flying contestant.
He and Queen are like the last two athletic teachers in a race, one of whom doesn’t train for running and is inherently slow.
Originally thinking the person next to him was his good brother, it turned out it was all a facade.
Mandfeish attempted to catch up with Queen, only to find that he couldn’t, and the gap continued to widen.
Queen is a maniac for modifications, even to outsiders seeming mentally unstable, having engineered those monstrous “serpent moves.”
With Judge’s research involved, Queen even developed jet propulsion on his feet for acceleration.
“At this speed… I’m afraid even the big sister might not catch up without going full throttle…”
According to his estimates, this speed has already surpassed Shaina’s normal mode; unless Shaina switches to another mode, she might not be able to catch him.
“Is Brother Queen so concerned about someone else’s kids?”
Mandfeish himself is drawn in because his daughter is there, but those three kids have no direct connection with Queen, leaving Mandfeish puzzled about why Queen manifested such high potential.
Previously, despite being chased by Shaina, Queen never ran this fast, which contradicts Queen’s usual self-preservation tendencies.
This is precisely where Queen remains clear-headed: he cannot escape Shaina’s chase unless one of them dies halfway or exits the Hundred Beasts, or if the pirate group disbands halfway through.
Otherwise, Shaina would eventually catch him, and consequences would be unavoidable once things happen; the optimal solution is to be beaten when Shaina’s anger eases, achieving temporary safety.
Towards Kaidou, a different approach is adopted; having endured beating for so long, Queen has already devised agile responses.
This time, the situation is different; since nothing has happened yet, everything is reversible. He aims to curb the incident before its occurrence, instead of remedying it afterward.
A large figure swept across the air, knocking a recently returned Corviknight slightly off-course, while the floating Jumpluff was blown aside by the airstream.
“Cottonpea? (Did a big rat just fly by?)”
“Caw (Couldn’t see clearly, seemed like a strange ball… what’s that light dot? Should we go check it out?)”
“Cottonpea (Forget it, some powerful humans have already gone over, let’s go bask in the sun instead.)”
Several flying Pokemon experienced a brief disturbance but quickly returned to their paths. If there were aerial traffic police here, Queen’s speeding and forced lane change would certainly be in violation, requiring later clearance.
Yet, even under such circumstances, Queen still feels he’s not fast enough, wishing time would slow down.
…
For Inuarashi and Nekomamushi, time crawled; they couldn’t rid themselves of Miaona and Wolf, while Incineroar and Meowscarada’s duo tactics worked surprisingly well—plus, in broad daylight, they couldn’t resort to Moon Lion.
Utilizing their age advantage, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi could still hold on, but to lead a retreat is impossible.
“Lord Momonosuke! Please flee on your own! We’ll hold back the enemies for you!”
“Indeed, the following depends on you alone.”
Fortunately, they can hold out a bit longer, with only those dressed like Kuma and Melo remaining, having misjudged Miaona and Wolf’s power before, but such errors shouldn’t occur twice, right?
Melo appears smaller, while the bear below resembles a toy. Should such creatures unleash exaggerated power, then life wouldn’t be manageable.
However, Momonosuke hadn’t fled; not out of a desire to fight alongside them, but because his legs went weak and couldn’t stand.
Lustful and cowardly, Momonosuke occasionally shows backbone, but mostly he’s a coward; even with the courage to enter battle, he constantly desires retreat.
The shadow cast by Kaidou still lingers in his mind, evoking only fear watching Inuarashi and Nekomamushi confront foes.
His mind blank, he can’t direct his limbs, nor does he hear Inuarashi’s words.
Inuarashi and Nekomamushi are anxious yet unable to extricate themselves, though they didn’t remain frustrated for long.
BOOM!
A loud noise echoed, creating a large pit in the forest as a sweat-coated Queen appeared.
“Where are the people? What’s happened here? Which bastard dared to stir trouble here!”
Queen’s aura spread outward, though lacking Supreme King, purely fueled by anger and killing intent. Anyone who endangers his life becomes a mortal enemy (of the sort he can handle).
Queen exhibits two differing attitudes depending on whether he can handle someone or not, relishing bullying the weak, unless his sweets are threatened, which leads Queen to temporarily lose reason, daring to challenge any foe.
Facing adversaries currently on par or even inferior to Miaona and Wolf, Queen naturally doesn’t regard them significant, feeling somewhat ridiculous—some Fur Race members dared battle with the offspring of their royal lineage.
Whether it’s training or a real fight, Queen wouldn’t fail to notice.
“You two bastards sure have guts, Winch Queen!”
His mechanical left arm darted out, inner systems activating, instantly grabbing and hoisting them into the air.
“Do you guys have any idea how anxious I am?! Power up, Queen!”
The device in the mechanical arm began to unleash a strong electric current, the azure currents instantly engulfing the forest, then Queen’s mechanical arm slammed down hard, burying half the bodies of Inuarashi and Nekomamushi into the ground.
“It’s Queen… Damn it, have we been delayed too long…”
“Damn… How could it be so fast… and strong…”
With the Machamp strength of Winch Green and the electricity of Blitz Blue, Queen easily took down the troublesome creatures in sight.
No matter who it is, to be hit by Shaina, King, Kaidou, the occasionally appearing Setsuna, and Yamato for 20 years and still survive intact, would let 20-year-old relics know the times have changed.
Even after being attacked by Miaona and Wolf, they could still get up and fight again, but against Queen, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi were much weaker.
The only reason they weren’t finished off was because these two were from the Fur Race, and there are special rules in Wano Kuni. Fur Race being a minority, if they have problems, it has to be dealt with by Setsuna and Zeraora.
After dealing with the potential enemies, Queen ignored Momonosuke, as he wasn’t blind and had already noticed the timid little boy nearby. Even with Inuarashi and Nekomamushi down, their eyes were still nervously watching that side.
For Queen, however, Miaona and Wolf were more important.
Queen’s mechanical arm transformed into a simple X-ray machine, scanning back and forth over Miaona and Wolf; he needed to ensure these two little ones hadn’t had any issues.
After a few scans he still wasn’t completely relieved, turning to pick up the Radio Snail again.
“Is this the Pokemon Center? Prepare two… no, three checkups, we’ll send three people over in a bit.”
Looking at Melo, who was slowly walking over with Kuma, Queen decided to have all three get checked out to avoid any confusion later.
In fact, Kuma could have chosen to join the battle, but he judged that Wolf and Miaona were enough to handle the situation, so he continued his task of protecting Melo until the fight was over.
Queen also performed a temporary check on the non-participating Melo, then asked Miaona and Wolf.
“What’s going on here? Are these two trying to rebel? Is the Fur Race getting restless too?”
“No, Uncle Queen, you’re talking nonsense, it’s these two who are the problem.”
“Yeah, nobody questions Momma Duke’s position, anyone who does will make Grandpa Hichugiskhan explode.”
This is one of Zou’s strange situations.
Setsuna made significant changes to Zou, to the point her prestige is too high. If she steps down, finding a successor quickly is impossible.
Zou can’t be without a leader for long, if no new one is found, the old leader has to step up again.
After going to great lengths for a smooth retirement, Hichugiskhan will remind anyone forcing him back what it means to be ‘old but vigorous.’ Looking at Zou, Hichugiskhan is the most staunch supporter.
Saying Setsuna is not capable indirectly says he misjudged her.
“That fat cat is called Nekomamushi, the annoying fool from Mom’s diary 20 years ago.”
“Hmm, and just as annoying as you, Uncle Queen, that’s what Mom wrote.”
Wolf and Miaona each stated their opinions, making Queen feel very awkward.
“Alright, no need for the latter part, your mom sure is petty… But that prophecy from 20 years ago left by that woman isn’t a joke; you really did traverse into the future to seek your own doom.
So… that little guy is Oden’s son, right? Doesn’t look like it at all, don’t you think so, Mandfeish?”
“He doesn’t look like him. Oden wouldn’t be this weak; at least he wouldn’t wet his pants.”
By this time, Mandfeish had also arrived here and landed right next to Momonosuke. A random kid in the wilderness is suspicious.
He just landed when he overheard Queen’s comment, then picked up Momonosuke, and almost got urinated on.
Mandfeish’s face was full of disgust. Not being his child, even if it were a friend’s child, he’d be more accepting, but this was just a passerby, possibly an enemy, and utterly unlikeable.
Momonosuke, inherently timid, had grown a bit overseas in the original timeline with Luffy, experiencing so much. But he’s even more fearful now, way more than the original timeline.
Especially since Mandfeish was also in transformed mode; his nickname ‘Little Kaidou’ wasn’t for nothing. Apart from having similar ability expressions, even his scale armor style was somewhat similar.
However, Mandfeish’s scale armor was larger, and his dragon horns on top were different, but already panicked Momonosuke couldn’t tell the difference, thinking seeing Kaidou when Mandfeish descended.
At this point, his eyes rolled back, and he fainted immediately.
“Lord Momonosuke!”
“Damn, Kaidou you bastard, what did you do to Lord Momonosuke?!”
Humans are unwilling to accept a cruel reality. How could their young master be so useless, Mandfeish surely did something bad.
“Mwahaha, Mandfeish, got someone fooled by your appearance again, why not get a parentage test with Big Brother Kaidou? You don’t know your lineage; maybe it’s somehow linked to the promiscuous days of Brother Kaidou.”
“Brother Queen, I advise you to stop saying such things, can’t you remember talk leads to trouble?”
“It’s fine, ain’t nobody… ain’t nobody…”
Queen was about to say, nobody would stab him in the back, just noticing Miaona and Wolf’s gaze on him, suddenly feeling an ominous premonition.
“You two… won’t go around talking, right?”
