“What the heck is going on?” Ivy demanded the moment she stepped out and came face-to-face with the other students, who were gathered right in front of the bathroom. All of them were panting heavily, their faces pale with fear as they stared anxiously at the bathroom door.

“Help me, please…”

One of the two male students inside the bathroom pleaded, his voice barely audible. No one could identify whether it was August or Emma, but the horrifying sounds coming from inside were enough to send chills down their spines.

There was a loud munching sound, followed by an unsettling gulping noise, as though someone was greedily drinking water. However, the sound was far from anything that could be considered normal.

“Everyone, step back!” Ivy commanded.

Without wasting any time, she stepped forward and broke the bathroom lock. Darren, Erick, Elliot, Antelope, and a few other curious students followed closely behind her as they entered the bathroom.

However, the moment they stepped inside, confused expressions spread across their faces.

They had all expected to encounter something horrifying, perhaps a monster attacking one of the students. Instead, what greeted their eyes was Emma pinning August against the washbasin while the latter held a bottle of water and a piece of bread in his hands. He was casually eating and drinking as though nothing unusual was happening.

For a moment, everyone simply stared at the strange scene before them.

“What’s going on here?” Emma asked, finally releasing August from his grip. He glanced at the people who had barged into the bathroom before raising an eyebrow. “Is it really a good thing to walk into the bathroom without knocking?”

His words only made the situation more confusing.

“What’s going on here?” Darren whispered into Ivy’s ear, his brows furrowing as he tried to make sense of what they were witnessing.

Ivy was just about to respond when….

“Ahhhhh!”

August let out a piercing scream of agony.

Before anyone could react, Emma’s appearance suddenly changed. His face changed into something monstrous, his skin becoming rotten and decayed. His teeth transformed into sharp, ragged fangs, while his fingernails elongated into terrifying claws.

With a ferocious growl, he lunged at August, knocking him to the ground.

“Get off me! Help!”

August screamed helplessly as Emma pinned him down and sank his teeth into his stomach, tearing away a chunk of flesh.

The horrifying sight left everyone frozen in shock.

Emma continued biting into August’s flesh. However, the moment he finished and turned his attention towards the remaining students, preparing to launch another attack, someone finally reacted.

“Die, you motherfucker!”

A male student shouted from the ground.

Before anyone could stop him, he thrust a knife he had been concealing in his outfit straight into Emma’s stomach.

The blade pierced deep into the monster’s body.

However, before the student could even withdraw his hand and move away, Emma suddenly lunged towards him. His sharp teeth sank into the student’s face, tearing away a piece of flesh.

The student let out a horrifying scream.

Fortunately, the knife he had used was no ordinary weapon. It was a special blade imbued with supernatural powers capable of eradicating monsters.

Emma’s body convulsed violently as the power within the blade spread through him. A moment later, he collapsed to the ground, his monstrous body twitching before finally becoming motionless.

The bathroom was immediately filled with the strong stench of blood and decay.

The student’s agonized cries, combined with the terrified screams of the others who had gathered behind Ivy, created an unbearable atmosphere.

“You’re such a big fool!” Elliot snapped, glaring furiously at the injured student. “Even Commander Ivy hasn’t made a move yet, and you already decided to attack! You’re Dustin, right? What were you thinking, man? Are you seriously that stupid?”

“Will you all shut up, or do you want to die here? Get out!” Darren barked, his voice ringing through the bathroom.

He had no intention of allowing the frightened students to remain there and cause further chaos.

Without wasting another second, the students hurried towards the exit, practically stumbling over one another in their desperation to get away from the horrifying scene.

Meanwhile, August remained on the floor, clutching his stomach as he writhed in pain. Tears streamed down his face as he struggled to lift his head and look at Ivy.

“Please… don’t kill me.”

His voice trembled uncontrollably.

“I don’t want to die. Please, I don’t want to die!”

Ivy stared down at him, her expression growing increasingly grim.

You’re already dead, dear, she thought inwardly.

She swallowed hard, momentarily struggling to process what she was witnessing. There was no point in giving him false hope. Anyone bitten by a monster would eventually undergo the same horrifying transformation and August was no exception.

Just then, his body began to convulse violently.

Crack!

The disturbing sound of breaking bones echoed throughout the bathroom as his body began transformation. His bones began to shift, while his head slowly split apart, revealing a horrifying mouth filled with sharp, ragged teeth.

His eyes bulged and his skin began to deteriorate as the transformation progressed.

“Ah…!”

Before he could even struggle to his feet, Ivy moved.

Slash!

Her blade flashed through the air, releasing a powerful wave of energy as she infused it with her supernatural abilities.

In one swift motion, she sliced through August’s body, cutting him cleanly in two.

His body collapsed to the ground, and the bathroom floor was soon covered in a pool of blood.

The already unpleasant stench of decay grew even stronger, making it difficult for anyone to remain inside without covering their noses.

Ivy withdrew her blade, her expression remaining cold as she prepared to turn her attention towards Dustin, the student who had stabbed Emma before the monster could complete his transformation.

However, before she could take another step, Antelope suddenly moved.

He grabbed Dustin by the arm and forcefully pushed him into one of the bathroom stalls. Then, without giving anyone an explanation, he shut the door and locked it from the outside.

“What are you doing?”

Darren was the first to question his actions. His eyebrows shot up as he stared at Antelope in disbelief.

“Don’t tell me you’re actually trying to protect a monster!”

“It’s none of these students’ fault that the world has become like this!” Antelope retorted, his voice rising with anger. He turned to face Darren, his expression filled with indignation. “Why must you kill all of them? What exactly is wrong with you people?”

“Are you out of your mind?” Darren raised an eyebrow, letting out a scoff. “Anyone who gets bitten by a monster eventually becomes one. That student is no longer human, so what’s the point of protecting him?”

He paused, studying Antelope’s unusually defensive behaviour before shaking his head.

“And since when did you start acting like such a good person? Don’t tell me you’ve suddenly decided to turn over a new leaf after all these years of being evil.”

Darren’s lips curled into a mocking smile.

“Well, if that’s what you want, fine. But don’t expect us to play along with your sudden change of heart, especially not when it concerns something like this.”

“Nobody is killing him!” Antelope declared firmly.
