Apocalypse: Rebirth With An Infinite Storage System
Chapter 251 Huge fight
The men forced Desmond’s arms behind his back and tightly bound his wrists with a thick rope. They then tied his legs together before blindfolding him.
"Let me go!" Desmond screamed furiously, struggling against the restraints. "You ungrateful bastards! After everything I’ve done, this is how you repay me?"
"You did nothing for us except make our lives
Take it, System!" Ivy murmured under her breath.
The moment she gave the command, the goods arranged neatly on the shelves began disappearing one after another as they were extracted and stored inside her system inventory. Boxes, canned foods, bags of rice, cartons of cooking oil, and other essential supplies vanished from the shelves at an astonishing speed.
Ding!
{Tin tomatoes extracted. One thousand bags of rice extracted.}
The system continued announcing each item as it was successfully extracted, recording everything inside its inventory. Before long, the once fully stocked shelves had become completely empty, leaving not even a single can or bag behind.
A warm smile of satisfaction appeared on Ivy’s face as she looked around the now-empty storage area. Darren, who had been standing nearby and watching the entire process, also couldn’t help but smile.
"You’re only able to do this because no one else is here except you and me," Darren pointed out with a light chuckle. "If there were other survivors around, they would definitely be shocked."
"Exactly," Ivy replied, nodding in agreement. "I wouldn’t be able to expose my system to other people, after all. Only you truly know how it works, and I intend to keep it that way."
Darren nodded his head in response, understanding the importance of keeping Ivy’s secret hidden.
"Anyways, let’s go. We’re done here," Ivy added, turning toward the exit.
Darren immediately followed her, and together they made their way out of the building. They had barely stepped outside when a series of desperate cries suddenly echoed through the air.
"Please help us!"
"Someone, please save us!"
"Help! We’re trapped in here!"
The loud cries of the survivors filled the air, prompting Ivy and Darren to stop in their tracks and turn toward the source of the commotion.
The voices were coming from the building directly opposite them. Apparently, there were still people trapped inside, and their desperate cries for help had already attracted the attention of several monsters.
A group of monsters was gathered around the company’s main gate, violently banging against it as they tried to force their way in and without wasting any time, Darren aised his gun and fired several shots.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
One by one, the monsters at the gate collapsed as the bullets tore through their heads leaving only a few monsters scattered around the opposite building, where the survivors remained trapped.
After clearing the immediate threat, Darren turned his attention toward Ivy.
"What do you plan to do?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "Save them?"
Although Darren wanted to rescue the people, especially since they could potentially become useful survivors but then he still wanted to hear Ivy’s decision first.
Ivy didn’t immediately answer.
Instead, she narrowed her eyes and carefully examined the people gathered behind the windows of the opposite building.
Then, suddenly, her expression changed.
"Wait..." she murmured.
Her eyes widened slightly as she recognized a familiar face among the frightened survivors.
"Isn’t that Desmond?"
"What?" Darren immediately followed her gaze.
The moment his eyes landed on the man, his expression darkened.
"That motherfucker!" Darren spat angrily, clenching his fists. "He’s definitely going to regret ever still being alive today."
Desmond was the very same man who had previously stolen Ivy’s truck and abandoned them without a second thought. Darren had not forgotten what he had done, and seeing him alive after everything that had happened only reignited the anger he had been suppressing.
However, instead of responding to Darren’s outburst, Ivy continued staring at the survivors trapped inside the building while a thought quickly formed in her mind.
"If you can all capture that man, then I’ll save every one of you," Ivy announced loudly.
Her words immediately caused the survivors to fall silent, as well as shocking Darren ego wasn’t expecting that.
Several pairs of eyes widened in shock as everyone turned toward Desmond.
"I mean it," Ivy added firmly. "Capture him, and I’ll get you out of there."
The survivors exchanged uncertain glances.
They clearly hadn’t expected Ivy to make such a strange demand. However, the moment they realized she was serious, the burly men among them immediately began moving toward Desmond.
Desmond noticed what was happening and instantly panicked and just as he turned around and attempted to run, two burly men rushed forward and grabbed him from behind.
"Stay still, you bastard!" one of them growled.
Desmond struggled violently, trying to break free, but the men all together were much stronger than he expected.
"You’ve tortured us enough already!" another survivor shouted angrily. "And now you’re going to be our ticket to getting out of here!
