It was as if the Guildmaster’s mana core was consuming the radiant mana he had just used.

The radiant mana that had been used to kill the demons seemed to have returned toward his mana core.

Staring at the Guildmaster, Angelo was certain that Max was bound to become the strongest human in the eyes of the demons.

To be able to change the course of the war, even though it was just a small part of the great war, by himself despite being a summoner was so difficult to believe.

But Angelo had witnessed it with his own eyes.

He gazed at the Guildmaster, who was leaning against the body of his horse while grinning from ear to ear.

...

Max felt hysterical, of course.

His mana core was still recovering from the enormous amount of mana he had just consumed.

That attack had taken much more mana than a normal Radiant Nova.

The reason was because he did not simply cast Radiant Nova once.

He had prepared the spell to be cast through thirty-five different Spell Conduits.

It took him almost a minute just to prepare everything.

First, Max had to spread his Radiant Weave throughout the battlefield.

Each thread had to be controlled individually and connected to the Greater Demons he had chosen as his targets.

That alone required a lot of concentration.

But that was not the only problem.

The Radiant Threads had to be stabilized before he could use them as Spell Conduits.

Normally, Max could use his Radiant Weave to create different constructs from his threads.

However, a Spell Conduit required the thread to maintain a stable pathway for radiant mana.

If he allowed too much mana to flow through it, the thread could destabilize.

If he controlled the flow too much, the spell would lose its structure before reaching the other end.

Max had to constantly control the flow of radiant mana through all thirty-five Spell Conduits.

That was why it took so long.

He wasn’t simply casting a spell.

He was preparing thirty-five different places where the spell could be manifested.

Once all of the conduits were stabilized, Max began preparing Radiant Nova.

The spell itself was no longer difficult for him to cast.

The difficult part was connecting it to all thirty-five Spell Conduits.

Normally, Radiant Nova would be created in front of him and explode from the point where he cast it.

This time, Max had to force the spell to travel through thirty-five different pathways.

The spell had to reach all of them at almost the same time.

That was where the massive amount of mana was consumed.

It wasn’t only the Radiant Nova that required mana.

The thirty-five Spell Conduits also continued to consume mana while maintaining the connection.

And once Max activated the spell, all of the radiant mana immediately rushed through the conduits.

Thirty-five magic circles appeared.

Thirty-five Radiant Novas were created.

And thirty-five explosions occurred almost at the same time.

Max chuckled.

This was the true advantage of Spell Conduit.

It did not make his spell stronger.

Instead, it allowed him to choose where the spell would appear.

Rather than casting Radiant Nova directly toward a target, Max could create a Spell Conduit and make the spell manifest at the other end of the thread.

And because he could maintain multiple conduits at once, he could do the same thing against multiple targets.

However, there was a limit.

His Radiant Weave could only maintain forty threads at his current rank.

That was why five threads had been assigned to the shieldbearers.

Those five threads were there to protect him and maintain a connection with the shieldbearers, while the remaining thirty-five threads were being used against the Greater Demons.

Max glanced toward the battlefield.

The remaining demons were still struggling to recover from the explosions.

The attack had worked exactly as he intended.

But he couldn’t simply repeat it endlessly.

His mana core had nearly reached the point where continuing to drain it would risk mana deviation.

Although he had managed to recover most of the radiant mana that had been used, his mana core had only refilled half of what he had consumed.

The spell combination had also taken a toll on his body and mentality.

Max looked at the Radiant Threads that were still connected to the shieldbearers.

This was only the beginning.

Spell Conduit allowed him to extend his magical reach.

But the true potential of Radiant Weave was something beyond that.

A conduit could connect him to another point.

Multiple conduits could allow him to control multiple points.

But if those points could also be connected to one another...

Then the entire formation could become a single magical system.

A Battlefield Network.

Max hadn’t reached that level yet.

For now, he could only connect each conduit directly to himself.

But even this was enough to change how he fought.

He no longer needed to stand beside his target to cast a spell.

He only needed to connect himself to the battlefield.

And that alone made him a powerful summoner who could change the tide of the war without even needing his summons.

Max felt extremely fatigued.

He was leaning against his warhorse while the latter was checking his condition.

Max smiled at it and caressed its head, giving it assurance that he was fine.

His other warhorse was being taken care of by his beast tamer, and he wondered who would be the one to own it in the future.

He was planning to give it to his younger brother if he chose the Greyfen Village, but unfortunately, he could not.

Max turned toward the demons and frowned heavily.

He recalled the black flag and its possibility of affecting the course of the war.

As he rested his back against the body of his horse, he turned toward Angelo, who was staring intently forward.

Minutes had passed when Angelo glanced at Max and suddenly tried to establish a mental connection with him.

Guildmaster, the massive demon carrying the black flag has returned.

Max nodded.

Wait before it attempts to plant the black flag on the ground.

Angelo continued to observe the sky.

He watched as the massive demon carrying the black flag continued to move forward.

However, it stopped every kilometer to observe Max before continuing after sensing that he was not making a move.

For every kilometer it crossed, it took twenty minutes.

Hence, when it reached the third kilometer, Max had finally recovered enough.

He immediately used his Radiant Weave to pull himself toward Angelo so that he could observe the sky...
