When Max arrived and met the three B-rankers in his village, he couldn’t help but recall his past self.

Just before he met them, he had been nothing more than a regressed player who was starting over again.

It would be difficult to deny that he had looked up to them, mainly because of their class rank.

But now, he was the same rank as them.

He was even far more powerful than them because of the Divine Authority that amplified his mana, allowing it to reach the realm of divinity.

Sister Elira felt it the most, while Lieutenant Garrick and Sylwen also perceived the divine mana.

Lieutenant Garrick smiled as he greeted Max.

"It seems that you have encountered a great opportunity while you were away."

Max nodded, greeted Lieutenant Garrick, and replied, "After Archmage Arlen and Blade Saint Branna died and a Greater Demon chased me, I became the bearer of a Divine Authority."

Lieutenant Garrick and the others were stunned.

Lieutenant Garrick laughed and shook his head. "So, it truly is a Divine Authority, after all."

Sister Elira giggled. "It’s more common to encounter a villager who possesses an innate affinity with Divine Authority than it is in the capital."

"So, how have you been?" Sylwen asked.

"I’m good," said Max. "I’ve established the Demon Hunters Guild.

"This time, I brought my members to kill the Greater Demon who killed Archmage Arlen and Blade Saint Branna."

Lieutenant Garrick and the others smiled.

Before Max could even take out the core to prove it to them, Lieutenant Garrick patted Max’s shoulder and swayed his body backward, allowing Max to glimpse the sea of villagers staring at him with excitement.

Lieutenant Garrick said, "Look at them. Just knowing that you came has already assured them that you have dealt with the demons who threatened this very place.

"You’ve earned their trust, Max. Soon enough, all the frontier villages in Mirefall Province will know of your achievement."

As Max fell into a daze, he heard a startling system notification.

*[*Title Advancement!]

The title "Greyfen Trusted Protector" has evolved.

New Title Acquired: "Mirefall Frontier Protector"

Your actions have exceeded the boundaries of a single settlement.

You have contributed to the survival of the Imperial frontier against a threat of catastrophic magnitude.

Recognition Authority:Imperial Province of Mirefall.

Mirefall Frontier Protector:

A title bestowed upon individuals whose actions have directly contributed to the preservation of the Mirefall frontier against extraordinary threats.

The bearer is recognized as a protector of Imperial frontier settlements and is granted increased reputation with Mirefall’s military and administrative authorities.

The Greyfen Trusted Protector title had evolved into the Mirefall Frontier Protector.

It reflected what the Lieutenant had said—Max’s reputation was destined to soar throughout the frontier villages.

Of course, he was not the only one who would enjoy the benefits.

As the Guild Master of the Demon Hunters Guild, every frontier settlement would soon recognize his Guild and openly cooperate with its members, allowing the Demon Hunters Guild to operate seamlessly while fighting against demons.

In other words, the entire Mirefall Province frontier had effectively become the territory of the Demon Hunters Guild. No other guild could dare compete with it anymore.

Julian’s Lewis Guild would have to find another province in which to establish its branch guild.

Max didn’t know how to react.

He had only worked selfishly, pursuing the rewards from every major quest in the village.

But he never thought that he would become a hero instead.

He wanted to laugh out loud, but he restrained himself and maintained a composed appearance.

He waved at the villagers, and they erupted into cheers.

Seeing Max coming from the direction where a legion of demons had appeared, and having been saved by him once before, they instantly knew that Max had resolved the greatest threat that even Lieutenant Garrick had feared to face.

They could definitely not hold back from erupting into cheers.

At the same time, they knew that the village had survived another night.

While the news from other nearby frontier villages indicated that many had failed to do so.

"Maximus!"

"Maximus!!!"

"Maximus!!!"

"The village’s hero, Maximus!"

Hearing his first name being chanted, Max didn’t know how to react.

He shook his head and noticed that Lieutenant Garrick, Sister Elira, and Sylwen had moved beside him, seemingly giving him the opportunity to deliver a speech to the villagers.

The villagers quickly understood what their movements implied, so they gradually slowed their cheers until a deafening silence descended.

Max already knew what to say, so he didn’t dilly-dally.

"We are facing the threat of a demon and monster invasion.

"Demon invasions are far more terrifying, to say the least. The village can hold out against the monsters, but can you handle the assault of demons as well?

"I have resolved the threat of the demons that were attempting to devour this entire village."

He deliberately paused, causing the villagers to almost break into cheers, but they held back, knowing that he still had an important announcement.

Max continued, "That’s precisely why I created a Guild called the Demon Hunters Guild.

"Its members are trained specifically to combat demons. They have been growing at a rapid rate, and the Emperor himself has fully supported the Guild’s growth.

"I can confidently claim that the Demon Hunters Guild can fight and defeat demons even within their own territory!"

Max shouted, causing the villagers to be unable to restrain themselves from fervently shouting in response.

Max liked their reaction and smiled.

"My Demon Hunters Guild will continue to defend the villages.

"If you want to join, you can reach out to one of our members, but you must pass their evaluation.

"Don’t be disheartened if you fail. As long as you want to achieve something and find your purpose, then the universe will help you achieve it.

"But if you don’t want to fight demons and prefer fighting monsters, that’s fine, too.

"My younger brother has created a Guild called the Monster Hunters Guild. Once it expands into our province, you can join and take their trial."

Max paused again, organizing his thoughts and deciding what his following words should be.

He suddenly raised his hand and said, "We will continue to fight against demons and monsters.

"We will protect our families and our village!

"We will fight until our very last breath!"

The villagers erupted into an uproar, and the players who didn’t oppose Max followed them as well.

Max was delighted that his speech had actually produced such an exaggerated result...
